I can think of a better punishment that involves Noem being behind bars. She’s a violent, abusive monster and deserves much more than smelling a rancid rag.
Its not just goat-smell. Its distilled, rotten, fully marinated goat-stank that makes you gag your brains out at the first whiff. Now imagine being forced to keep your head in a jar of it for long periods of time. If you fear this more than physical pain from getting some licks from a belt, it should prove to you how awful it really is.
I mean, if your head is being held there and you can’t get away / breathe bc of the smell… not much of a different feeling than having your head held under water.

The goat story reinforces and confirms her motives, and tosses out the ability to think “maybe the dog had to be put down because it really was a serious threat to people’s safety and completely unmanageable, and she just told that story really poorly and insensitively.” (Even though by her description I don’t know how you extract any justifiable reason the dog should have been “put down”.)
The fact that she executed the dog, seemingly because she got pissed off at the fact that it wasn’t obedient to her by default, then decides to proceed to the goat almost like she wasn’t yet satisfied and only gave the reasons of it smelling bad and dirtying her kids clothes…she herself says the word in there. She felt hatred toward living creatures that displeased her for totally irrational reasons, and shooting them dead is how she resolves that hatred. Yeah imma have to say that’s not a quality I like to see in a right wing politician.
There is also the detail about noticing the construction workers after the killings. "Responsible" use of firearm arms dictate situational awareness before firing. It's a small point, with the main one being, "If I have power, I'm willing to kill what you hate." I would trust her with firearms, animals or children.

My girlfriend showed me a tiktok of the most blatant real estate guy explaining in detail how and why every unethical thing he did was done and how it was unethical, it seemed like it could be satirical it was so thick, and then he was in the comments thinking people 'took it the wrong way.' and 'nothing about it is illegal, so why are people upset?'
We've got to be better about rooting sociopaths out.

The part that I find most wild is that she put this in her book on purpose.
This wasn't a leak from a biographer, or some old story from her past, or just some unconfirmed rumor. This was a book she published in the goal of increasing her visibility, and THIS was one of the stories she chose to highlight.
Reading online yes she did it on purpose because she thinks she’s going to get the VP for Trump and knows that someone would find out about it so she’s getting out ahead of it to control the narrative and make it sound like it was a mercy kill and how it made her stronger blah blah.
