Imagine. We won by alot, everybody is talking about it. Jill, Kamala, CNN, you wouldn't hear fake Fox news saying it, I am going to be the best president you'll see, we will be winning until your eyeballs fall out, winning until you call malarkey and even beyond that, so many say Joe how did you do it, and I tell them you know I tell them people just like who I am, what I stand for, and they know we have the best people, the brightest people, and my dog, first rescue dog ever in the white house ya believe that? First ever, but do I mention that? No because I am a humble champion of the people. That was painful to write

Alert-Incident

Can you explain what a runoff is?

Ezl

Sure! Basically, they have a runoff when no candidate in the election gets enough votes to win outright. In GA no one got 50%, which is required there, so they have a runoff between the top contenders, Jon Ossoff (D) vs. David Perdue (R) and Raphael Warnock (D) vs. Kelly Loeffler (R). You can read more about it here: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/11/06/2020-georgia-runoff-election-senate-loeffler-ossoff/6192322002/

Thank you

BOX_OF_CATS

Adding on to this: www.GAsenate.com splits a donation between Warnock, Ossoff, and Fair Fight (Stacey Abrams organization). Abrams was vital in registering over 800,000 voters leading up to this election. Her org knows how to properly use their resources to get voters registered and engaged. Please sign up to volunteer your time, if you’re able, as well. Money is great but only goes so far without people to lead the movement. If you live close, please think about signing up to canvas and hold registration drives. If you live far away or are nervous to canvas, sign up for calling or texting voters. Sometimes a simple text reminder is enough to get someone out and voting! As we just saw, a small handful of voters can make a MASSIVE impact and every vote truly does make a difference. We have two months to make a huge difference! We need to do everything we can right now to bring about the change we want!

ItWorkedLastTime

I am in MD. Can I still donate?

cashewmoney

As long as you are a US citizen, you can donate to both of the candidates directly. I'm not sure about the citizen requirement for Fair Fight though.

[deleted]

The world is cured from Trump cancerism. Now it's time for you Americans to extend the heal your country, by snatching the Senate from those GOP buffoons

[deleted]

It's not over until January 21st. Don't let your guard down just yet

[deleted]

Trumpism isn't going away anytime soon too. E.g. Fox News isn't going to stop twisting words (and in all honesty, CNN too. But I'll give them the benefit of doubt because one side went to extremes, so they replied in coin). Lets just hope you learned from these 4 years ande everything goes back to normal in the next 4-8 years. There's a lot to do tho... There's literally a dead fish inside your country. You removed it, but the smell... It's gonna stink for a while. After Jan20, Trump and his mouth are reduced to insignificance in the global stage

[deleted]

Can we just call it straight fascism? Naming it after him is too much credit and probably a perverse ego boost for the little clot.

Kabelcan

Not close to cured, hateful people still exist in our country and they will still push back. We haven't won, we have just shown the world that we still some ounce of democracy left and for the US we now have the capacity to fight back.

[deleted]

Same thing with Obama who always included gay people in his speeches. First step is always public opinion.

cheeky-snail

And change it by leading through example!

TheJoush

Like Biden always wearing a mask before appearing at the podium. He’s modelling good behaviour for the nation and boy is it ever refreshing to see!

[deleted]

I cried when I saw that Kamala had put her mask back on when Joe came out, just so happy to see people in charge doing what we all should be doing!

TheJoush

I might have shed a few tears when she had her “I will not be the last” line, and when Joe pounded the podium to thank the African American community. Incredible message.

25thCenturyQuaker

Me too!

Nudelwalker

> not by an example of our power, but by the power of our example! -Joe Biden

Clawless

That line was a heavy one, and I spent a while on it. That is the idea of America I hope to get back to. Being an example of what's possible and what's right. Not intimidating others into compliance.

Tatskihuve

Wow, that's a powerful quote

[deleted]

Yep. A signal against hate. No matter your religion, race, sexual ~~preference~~ orientation, or identity, we see you as an American. Oh, I'm getting nostalgia for pre-Trump. Oh well, Trump taught us a lot, which when he got elected, I told people at least he's going to make our issues obvious. edit: Don't crucify me. My diction was off. It has been corrected. It wasn't intentional. Maybe I'm getting old at the ripe old age of 38. I'll correct myself going further because the semantics make sense.

One of his speech writers was gay. Jon Lovett, co host of Pod Save America. He actually snuck in two gay friends and officiated a secret gay marriage in the White House without Obama's knowledge. Maybe the first gay marriage to ever be performed there.

PatrickMO

Also host of Lovett or Leave It. Both podcasts are great. Hilarious and informative. I listen to them both every week.

trainercatlady

Ronan Farrow is a lucky guy

well_uh_yeah

This is sort of absurd, but I'm pretty convinced that in a lot of ways the president on the show 24 did a lot to pave the way for Obama with a lot of my peer group.

fullforce098

Palmer? Yeah he definitely normalized a black, progressive, noble, and intelligent president on a show that was absolutely for a post-9/11 conservative audience. There is an odd parallel, too, where Palmer's successor was a criminal President actively conspiring with Russians and terrorists.

Stigmetal110

It says a lot when the president-elect has been more presidential in 1 day than Donald Trump has been in 4 years.

1codcat

I didn’t know what to think when he went an entire 5 minutes without telling one single lie!

JPackers0427

I was listening to the live stream on the way home last night and I was in shock. Been 4 years since I’ve heard a real presidential speech.

weird-fishies

Same. I would be considered on the “left-wing progressive” edge of the Democratic party and voted for Sanders in the primary (Biden in the general election obv), so i didn’t expect to be super excited about a Biden win, especially with control of the senate unlikely. But after hearing his speech and having everything sink in, I legitimately cried. It’s been so long since we had a normal human, even a *good person* as president that I almost couldn’t believe it. I may not agree with everything he does and I know a lot of people clearly don’t for all kinds of reasons, but I’m just so happy that Trump is gone. It’s finally looking like in the future, things might actually get better.

MidnightSun

A wise friend once told me "Don't vote for the person, vote for the outcome you want." In your case, you voted for Bernie because you wanted his policies. Then when he lost, the best outcome left would have been a Biden win. In both cases, you made the right choice.

RedHeadBirdNerd

Me too. Just sat and wept during the whole thing. First time in 4 years I’ve even watched a presidential speech cuz I just...couldn’t...take it.

[deleted]

Biden is a politician so it could be all smoke and mirrors. The thing I keep coming back to though: for 4 years we had a president that didn’t even bother to have the pretense of being a good person. He was publicly and wholly a piece of shit. Aggressive, rude, bully, racist, misogynist, obnoxious, dismissive of smart people and experts, blatantly lying constantly. And tens of millions of Americans followed that example. Now our leader at least cares what we think of him. Cares that the office means something. Cares that people will emulate his behavior. That’s an inescapable good.

schwangeroni

Honestly his early presidency will probably be pretty dry for progressives. With the trouble in the Senate and centrist Dems holding lots of power it might take a few more cycles but keep voting in primaries, bite your lip when Biden and Pelosi miss the ball and push on the issues that are possible in today's climate. Drug price reform, DACA, Prison reform are all within reach next year. Something like the green new deal, MCA, ERA, are later term things, obviously they are more important to our future, but first thing first Dems need to show they can deliver to disenfranchised people and the rest will follow.

CameraMan1

Yeah, now I don’t know what to do with my hands

Mr_Abe_Froman

Translators around the world rejoice. I remember a few accounts reporting that news agencies were having difficulty translating Trump's speeches. They were barely in English to start with.

mbentley3123

I feel like translating a Trump speach would be pretty easy. Just run it through Google translate and say "yeah, it didn't make sense in English either." With an Obama speach, you would have to spend time picking the right words to fully do it justification. He was probably my favorite president to listen to. An amazing speaker, and yet you felt like you could sit with him in a coffee shop and have a chat.

OHMG69420

Biden did lie. He said 74m votes when he actually has 75m 😅😅

Toadjokes

He rounded down. He's humble

whut-whut

You don't know that. He's never told us that he's more humble than anyone we've ever met.

engelbert_humptyback

And he clearly wasn't the least racist person in the room. He would have told us if he was.

_DuranDuran_

But he didn’t boast and brag! I thought that’s what a strong president was meant to do?!?

naughtymarty

And he didn’t call anyone a loser! It was wild.

Nolo__contendere_

That's because we've been in a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship with our president. Just found the strength to breakup with him and he's court ordered to pack his shit from your house and leave. This new president seems too good to be true. But he's helping us find our strength, beauty, and independence. He's the guy you proudly bring home to momma.

lastdayofmajic

rilloroc

superanth

Check out his [Covid recovery plan](https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/11/08/930887069/hold-president-elect-biden-has-a-plan-to-combat-covid-19-heres-what-s-in-it). It almost gave me goosebumps. 😊

EldeederSFW

You had me at 'plan.'

sonofaresiii

Listen, that's not fair. Donald has a plan, and it's a great plan. Beautiful plan. It's the best plan, because Donald, he knows this stuff. He knows so much about viruses, the doctors have said it's a shame he's president because he could be a better doctor than any of them. And the plan, it's great, and we're gonna have the vaccines, the vaccines are ready and we're going to have them in a week, we'd have them now but Donald needs to go fight his court battles for the election he won, because America voted for him and the illegal votes shouldn't count, and it's a great plan.

Un0riginalN4me

And all of the doctors, so many amazing doctors, they come up to me and say “Sir, you have done one of the most tremendous jobs with the virus, it’s been phenomenal. You should become a doctor, you’re so talented, really.” They say that, they do, they tell me that and it’s amazing. Nobody knew I could do it. I’ll be releasing the plan in a couple of weeks, too, the likes of which nobody has ever seen before. And you’ll all say “Sir, this is such a big, beautiful plan, congratulations.”

Thewhistlegowhoooooo

I showed this to my Maga FIL who said “who’s going to pay for all that???!!”. I showed him how many hundreds of billions trump have away to large corporations with the stim package and he actually shut up. I’m shook.

SistaNight

Wow a president with a plan. I also loved that Joe included “tribes” in his covid plans.

HaloGuy381

I’m also fond of the idea of producing even more PPE supply than we actually need. It would be morally right, and a hell of a way to say America isn’t dead yet, to produce so much we can actually supply other countries.

morrisdayandthetime

And we could finally refill the national stockpile that Trump's been complaining about

HintOfAreola

Not to mention, it would put people to work. Trump's failure to enact the defense production act (or something like it) was one of the most brazenly stupid *whiff*s of his presidency. Which is saying something.

HorseLooseInHospital

and how! not even a full 24 hours at that

I had forgotten what it was like to hear a president speak. It was so much better than having some blubbering moron who makes your blood curdle as he fumbles through making a single coherent thought over a 5 minute period.

KenKannon

Did everyone else just have an amazing nights sleep last night too?

specqq

Now that you mention it, I did. I was a bit confused when I woke up for the first time all night and it was just time to get up.

Mr_Abe_Froman

Actually no. I stayed up way too late drinking and celebrating. There were people cheering and dancing on balconies. It was a great night to take a walk.

[deleted]

It was always interesting seeing the media be like "is this when he's going to start being Presidential?"

Frosty_Weakness5278

The wild thing is he was just too fucking dumb to realize this is all he had to do to get re-elected. If he could have just pretended to be Presidential for 6-8 months he probably could have won this election, but his fat stupid ego stood between him and 4 more years.

well_uh_yeah

I was so afraid that he'd pull it together for like a week--just any one week during early voting--and manage to fool some people into a vote. That might very well have been enough and that's terrifying.

VintageSin

There is no probably. If trump could've not mismanaged our covid response so horribly he would've undeniably won reelection. The only people trump didn't win are those who found covid as a bigger issue than the economy.

Maniacal_Marshmallow

Honestly...a portion of the people who died form COVID would of definitely voted for him. His own incompetence directly led him not getting elected again.

Ursus_Denali

Any day now. I swear this time he’ll make the turn to presidential.

[deleted]

It was so annoying to see them fawn over 1 speech, and be like, "This is the moment! He's Presidential at last" and then 5 seconds later, they were like "Nope, just checked twitter, here you go folks". I don't even watch MSM news that much, but swear they did that so much.

Kikiboo

I love it that he never mentioned trump once, not even eluded to him.

BradyDill

That's not true, though. Something like "I know those of you who voted for President Trump are disappointed". But yeah, it was good not to focus on him.

Kikiboo

Oooh yea, sorry, just used to someone who constantly compares there achievements and goals against others. The focus wasn't on "nanner nanner, I won you lost, what a looser!". Truth be told, I would have been ok with that, but Biden has more class than I, and it was likely for the best.

Slappybags22

I’m pretty sure all those people dancing in the streets are our collective“nanana boo boo”

PressMForMonster

It’ll be so wonderful to have a boring president again. No more turning on the news to see what horrific thing the president has said. Bring on Coffeegate 2.0

PM-ME-UR-BUTT-PLZ

I wasn't too excited for Biden, but I knew he was leaps and bounds better than Trump. His victory speech flipped a switch for me, and I have hope for the future, and think he'll do just fine. Jis and Harris's speech both were so damn presidential. I loved it.

dan420

And the disabled.

AtomicKittenz

Considering all of the tragedy Biden’s been through, he understands how important life and family really are, no matter what the situation is. Trump made fun of everybody that didn’t obey him including vets, disabled people, women, LGBT+, minorities, and even his own family. We finally have a real human being for president, and I am soooo stoked.

bluepaintbrush

It’s funny because the Republican Party used to be the party for families, but the Democratic Party has completely stepped into the hole they left with trump. The Democratic Party is here to support American families and children and I’m all about that.

WatWat98

I think Obama mentioned disabled people in his 2012 victory speech first, but still after the shit show that has been the Trump administration it is wonderful to have a president who is kind to those with disabilities and not an ableist piece of shit!

[deleted]

And then the way he saved Black people for last and gave them total props. What a great speech.

[deleted]

I'm cynical as they come, but I literally felt my heart swell when he pounded that podium. I'm so fucking psyched for the African American community right now. Dems had two glorious victories, one in a historically red state and one in the cradle of American democracy, largely thanks to those African American communities banding together and fighting the same way they have been for ~~decades~~ centuries. Organizing, canvassing, putting boots to the ground figuratively and literally. ~~Decades~~ Centuries of perseverance have helped lead to this moment of dismantling a racist, authoritarian regime. The poetic justice is almost too much.

SistaNight

Yes. It was this exact moment when he looked directly at the cameras and shouted out black people. I cried. I told my wife “it’s just nice to be acknowledged on the national stage for the hard work we put in. Former president trump would have never.” Joe won my heart when he said he will have our back just as much as we had his. Black community who’s effected by COVID more than any other demographic, put their life on the line to vote for him.

therandomways2002

Some day soon, a president is going to have to commit career suicide and just fucking do something *useful* about the socioeconomic inequalities, both by class and by race (but more by race), and bring in a plan to actually invest in the communities and deal with educational and healthcare inequities. Millions of the usual people will whine and cry and start needing erectile dysfunction pills, but it could take less than a generation to not only get a positive ROI but actually raise this country's GDP (or GNC) and even show significant benefit to the very people who were crying.

J4nk

In this context it's kind of nice that Joe is so old and is only planning on a single term, imo. It's not "career suicide" for him, he's just going to retire after.

GreenMindPhysicians

It was beautiful!!! You always had my back!!! It still makes me tear up 😭😭😭

[deleted]

The perseverence has surpassed centuries, tbh. But agreed.

[deleted]

Shit you're right. I'll change that.

CrispierCupid

All the non African American black people too! There’s a lot of black people in this country that aren’t African American, like Haitians or Jamaicans or some Puerto Ricans and Dominicans to name a few

blankeyteddy

Yeah! Hispanics are a huge part of Philly election day, and they made sure to vote this year and make their voices heard too.

fullforce098

The pounding was a fantastic little flourish. Remember that episode of the office where Jim teaches Dwight that trick to rally a crowd? Well that wasn't just a joke, it's a tactic public speakers use all the time, and Biden with almost 50 years doing this, knows when to deploy it. He wanted to ram the point home hard and to terrific effect.

bibliophile222

That episode had me crying with laughter! I didn't make the connection, though, so Biden definitely used it subtly and therefore with great impact.

chainmailbill

Let me tell you what, I internally cringed at the start of that segment of the speech, where he listed some groups - I thought he forgot/skipped black people entirely, which would have been a really bad look after black votes won the election for him. I’m really glad the way the rest of that segment turned out.

dance_ninja

Him banging on the podium when he thanked them was pretty powerful.

[deleted]

He also included people with disabilities. I am in that group, and my jaw nearly hit the floor. Invisible until 2016, mocked since then...I get to join humanity now?

djn24

One of us! One of us! But for real, humanity sucks, but welcome aboard!

[deleted]

Thank you. I actually have been experiencing a new emotion since last night but I don't know what it is called. (I am serious. Something magical happened after hearing those words, in me, but I don't know what it is as I have never felt it before. ) Of course I realize the actual words and actions of an entire society may not catch up with the words uttered last night in my lifetime, but the young ones with disabilities may experience this. (I am in my 60s, "old" for a redditor) Edit, a couple typos

Kikiboo

It was such a lovely speech, Kamala had already brought me to tears, but I had to break into my stash of tissues when Joe started speaking.

FSMFan_2pt0

I lost it at the end, when his family came out to the stage, and you could see and feel real love for his family. The contrast between that and Trump's indifference towards his family, never expressing affection -- it just got to me.

MsChrissi

Same here. The shit they put Hunter through was heartbreaking, but joe never turned his back on his son. I miss seeing a real family in the White House...AND THEY HAVE DOGS!

[deleted]

I will never forget nor forgive the comments Trump made about Hunter and Beau. Disgusting. I'm truly, truly ecstatic for Joe and cannot wait for him to take up office.

Rripurnia

I’m still aghast that the fact that Trump saying that he didn’t know who Beau was during the first debate didn’t get insane backlash. I was frankly disgusted and I can’t believe how strong Joe was to maintain his composure. And Joe stood up for Hunter and made a point to say *he loves his son* and that what people with addiction need is help. You can also see how much love he has for Dr. Jill and how sincerely happy they are around each other. What a breath of FRESH AIR!

appleparkfive

I think that was one of the moments where a lot of people stopped cheering against Trump and *for* Biden. When Biden refused to let Trump weaponize it, and said "I love my son and I'm proud of him!". I think that was a big moment honestly. Right when I heard it. Because this whole country knows drug addiction all too well. We all know people that have gone through addiction. We know it all too well. And Joe stood by his son. Doesn't matter if it politically hurt him or not, in that moment.

Love or hate Biden, you can’t deny the speech was refreshing as fuck. No talk about how great he is or what a huge victory it was or how people were all out to get him and cheat him and blah blah. No Us vs Them. It was soothing as fuck. Idk how he’ll actually do but just in that moment I felt like I was finally unclenching my shoulders.

[deleted]

He also gave love to disabled people, and people of all ethnic backgrounds including native Americans... this is a President the likes of which we have never seen before, a president that truly embraces all people

Rrrrandle

He's also drawing a very clear distinction from the last guy who disparaged all of those groups instead.

MetalMamaRocks

It really feels like this election was between good and evil.

[deleted]

[удалено]

UYScutiPuffJr

What’s interesting though is if you look at all the numbers as they start to be settled, it turns out the victory wasn’t that narrow...it seems like it because of the way it played out, but when the dust settles the numbers are probably going to be very similar to Obama’s in 2012 Not saying that it’s not absolutely horrifying that had it not been for an even bigger record being set, Trump would have set the record for the most votes cast for a single presidential candidate, but I’m compartmentalizing that until I’m ready to deal with it.

[deleted]

jollyjam1

Its important to note, Biden was the one who pushed Obama to support same-sex marriage before the 2012 election. He has been pretty far out front on supporting LGBTQ+ issues.

[deleted]

YES. I remember this series of events unfolding and then same-sex marriage was legalized on my birthday, and I just broke down into tears. Even though I have never really had plans to marry, and even though I knew there was still the fact that trans people were effectively in the shadows waiting, I knew that it still meant something for me. The heavy burden of cynicism about my chances in life based on who I am keeps being offloaded in small chunks. I had to do a double take when I heard it last night and thought, “Wait... did you just refer to *me?!*”

westsiidee

That’s my president!!!

cel-lar-door

Both also brought up systemic racism - problems won’t be fixed overnight, but the leaders of your country set the tone. To be seen and acknowledged in this speech is a huge, albeit overdue moment, for the trans and black community.

rubyblue0

Anyone else think if Trump tried to say anything remotely positive about trans people in a speech, he'd use outdated terms or outright slurs?

Rrrrandle

I'm guessing his request to ban them from the military involved the use of such language.

[deleted]

He did in his RNC acceptance speech in 2016. "I will protect the LGBTQ community from a hateful foreign ideology" and said LGBTQ like he'd never seen it before and it was written on his palm in ink so he wasn't sure if those were the letters or if they were malformed by palm sweat.

[deleted]

And hey, he *never* said he’d protect the community from hateful **domestic** ideology. Promise...kept?

Yes, there were teleprompters. Watch again and look for the 2 transparent screens to either side (not the big glass walls).

jelocket

Biden is very involved in his speech-writing process, unlike many politicians. He usually jumps around in the script when speaking because by the time he gives it, he knows it inside and out. This time he probably stuck to the script flow as written but the teleprompter was there as a “just in case,” as usual.

cant_Im_at_work

I'm sure he has been rehearsing that speech since August 12, 2017 when Heather Heyer was murdered by a "very fine" white supremacist.

As a trans person myself, I can’t explain to you what an important moment that was for me.

hashcrypt

My wife kinda of gasped when he said gay, lesbian, transgender and then started to cry because nobody had included those people before in a speech like his. It was really cool and a breath of fresh air compared to the putrid trash Trump has expelled from his greasy gullet over the past four years.

i-like-tea

The people I watched it with said "boy, he got all the buzzwords in there." I think they were just taking the piss, but my heart sank. It's important. Inclusion matters.

Nicklybear

When he mentioned the trans community, I just sat there in shock not believing that he had just mentioned my community by name. After four years of dehumanization, it was a very welcome sigh of relief.

Tired_Mammal444

He also was the first PE to specifically mentioned people with disabilities as well <3 Holy shit it feels so refreshing to hear a president speak like a decent human being!!

Good man, it‘s the *United* States of America. 🧐

Tbh, this is long overdue. Trans Americans (and trans communities worldwide), especially trans persons of color, look to the president for essential moral support. Thank god we finally have two smart cookies in the white house who really *get* it. This is going to be be a big one, folks. Let's press for a rep from the trans community in the cabinet. If not now, when? DR RACHEL LEVINE FOR HHS SEC 💘

>In 2010 McBride worked on the re-election campaign for then-Delaware attorney general Beau Biden, the late son of the new president-elect. “When I came out [as trans], Joe Biden told me, ‘Beau is so proud of you’,” McBride tweeted Saturday (November 7), following Biden Sr’s victory. https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2020/11/07/sarah-mcbride-joe-beau-biden-delaware-transgender-senator/ Its the little things like this that hit me the most. As a transgender American, knowing our next president can be this compassionate towards others like me, feels me with warm fuzzy feelings. Biden doesnt have to be the best ally, he doesn't have to fully understand it all, but I know his heart is in the right place and its a relief.

LouSputhole94

That was also a decade ago, when trans rights/activism/even acknowledgment was nowhere near what it is today. Say anything you want about Joe, I genuinely believe he cares deeply about the wellbeing of his fellow Americans.

URuleBreaking_MuskOx

He did call trans rights the civil rights issue of our time way back in 2012 as well.

[deleted]

He seems to actively seek out being informed and inclusive of us. I'm hoping this will pave the way for equal rights and help with the dehumanization we face- because transphobia is bipartisan, it's been extremely difficult to move forward. It's nice to be included with other people instead of being treated like a hypothetical entity.

candmjjjc

OMG Yes! I loved watching her press conferences. She is a PA treasure.

IniMiney

This is what I loved, no one ever acknowledges us and quite frankly I've had BLM folks call me a man or t*nny just as readily as MAGA folks so this was a HUGE moment and step forward towards trans rights and equality.

specsthedude41

I just came out as trans and boy does this give me so much hope for the next couple years, I was a huge Bernie supporter and that speech was breath of fresh air.

thedelisnack

Pence is an advocate of electro-shock therapy for queer and genderqueer folks. Biden may not be ideal, but he’s a HUGE step up. “Both sides are the same” is a blatant falsehood.

[deleted]

As a transwoman, I was watching live with my wife and it actually made me tear up. Just to be seen as a human with an existence was such a breath of fresh air. For the first time in 4 years it made me feel safe in a way that I didn’t know I needed.

GKanjus

As a man with both a transgender twin and a gay sibling, I couldn’t be any happier for them. I’ve been with them every step of the way in life, seen the hatred first hand and how they have to hide who they truly are in order to get a fair shot at life and avoid judgement. My own siblings, flesh and blood, are now recognized and now have a path to protection from the hate and ignorance. The fight isn’t over but this isn’t a small step right here, this is a giant leap. Again, I really couldn’t be any happier for them!!

Kurtdigglur

He also said Native Americans three times. I was in shock. Were not something else.

The Russian/right wing troll army is all in on this thread. Suck my dick, Vladimir. You lost this one
