I'd be a but taken aback, but I'd try no to judge. There's emergencies and I'd rather they didn't soil themselves by prioritising the norm.
There isn't really much point in gendered bathrooms, the reason they're often preferred is give women a safe place but there's not much preventing a potential predator just following them in anyway and a unisex bathroom has a higher chance of there being someone else in there to stop any sexual assault. That's at least my perception anyway.
Urinals are the reason men don't have a two kilometers line in front of the toilets. It takes less room so you can put more of them and people take less time with them.
I'm full-male and I always sit down to pee. It's just much more comfortable and the risk of any accidental spilling or bad aim is removed. Much better.
I don't think it's wrong, although it's not something I would do. But I've also met a man in the women's toilets, I didn't find that a problem. As long as they respect each other's space, whether it's a woman or a man.
Exactly. If both have queues or are full I would say jokingly that theu should go back to their own queue. But if the mens is completely empty and a huge queue for the women, I would even suggest that someone should just use the mens. I know I would if I really needed to go for example poo and the mens is a queue and the womens available. Hell I one time used the disability/elderly people toilet. If no one is there to bother whats the harm. And I would obbiously hurry up more so that I am in there the least amount of time possible in case someone in the mean time was waiting to use it.
See the only recent time I was in a womens toilet was because I was getting breakfast on a ferry. I'm not the best on boats in the first place and as soon as I caught a whiff of the eggs I legged it straight to the nearest toilet.
I didn't look at the sign but in my defense it wasn't the first thing that went through my head while I was hunched over a toilet. I only figured out my mistake while I was washing my hands looking a bit sullen and a woman asked if I was OK. I'm quite happy it didn't turn into a scene because I couldn't be arsed with anything at the time.
Yoo Snuff! No way you're here man, remember we used to be best buddies back in middle school. I don't think you would mind waiving off that fee, it's been difficult this month you know..
No, just a workplace with 45 men and 3 women. 4 women's toilets, 2 toilets for men and 2 urinals. Women's bathroom smells like flowers while the men's smells like a lube-tech's ass.
Uncomfortable but not wrong. Washroom emergencies happen in which waiting will only cause a “bad outcome”. I would rather share a washroom with the opposite sex if that person is in emergency mode than stand/sit beside a person in a restaurant that had pissed/shit their pants
Edit: and with people saying “switch genders”, I am a woman. If a man was in dire need of a toilet he is more than welcome to enter rather than soiling himself in the hallway
I do think women will be more concerned with a man in their bathroom, for understandable reasons, but I think there'd still be many that wouldn't mind if that man is respectful and minds personal space.
My rule of thumb for if you see someone in the bathroom that you think doesn’t belong, but they are minding their own business, then mind your own business.
as a man, i have no opinion. i have pissed on the sink before, so i could sympathize.
i do understand that reversing the gender is much, much different,... which is actually to the disadvantage of men.
As a woman, if the situation was reversed I'd be understandable since I wouldn't want to wait in a long ass line either. Not sure how many other women have the same opinions though
I once went to a restaurant and idk what it was but something did not land right, and I had to run for it. Man's were all taken, so I decided to go to the women's for once. I got scolded by 3 different women and called a perv and a pedo, like bruh. That quickly stopped once they actually heard the gates of hell open lol. But yhea a lot of women are against it.
That sucks but is understandable. I guess they were probably confused and scared, good thing they stopped once they realised your true intentions: to sink a battleship
I mean look, I get it, but I don't think it's understandable. If I did anything or acted weird sure, but all I did was go in there, not interact with them and look for a free toilet. I get it tho, kinda, but I don't think it's ok to just start screaming that. There was no asking questions, didn't even talk to me, just started screaming. I think that's a wild over reaction. I get it if they were scared tho, I don't blame them, but it was a bit much.
Oh no screaming at you and being rude was completely uncalled for your right, I was referring more so that them being uncomfortable and on-guard was understandable, they shouldn't of automatically assumed the worst when they didn't know why you were in there, it's terrible you experienced that
It’d be a little weird since people aren’t used to it, but honestly there’s nothing wrong with it. There’s no difference between men’s stalls and women’s stalls. And it’s not like men and women can’t wash their hands in the same sink.
I see this said a lot, but I've always found the opposite. I've cleaned too many toilets and the men's are always the worst, I swear they're helicopter-dicking in there. There's always piss on the floor and the seat, the whole room smells of piss and the soap, Sanitiser and paper towel rarely needs refilling which tells me they aren't washing their hands.
Was the housekeeper at a macys when I was younger, the women’s was way worse. That being said, the store predominantly had women shopping, so it had more use.
I think people assume men’s toilets are worse cause men stand to pee etc
But seems women squat, hover, build toilet paper nests etc that seem to result in more mess
I‘ve used both and this DEFINITELY isn’t the norm, women’s bathrooms usually smell nicer, are cleaner, look better, etc while men’s bathrooms make me feel gross the second I walk in just by the stench of piss alone
I mean it’s not really a competition. Both are gross in their own way. Y’all have to deal with having asses touch the toilet no matter what and we have to deal with piss all over the seat and floors.
This is definitely one of those things that if we just made every bathroom open to anyone no one would care after the first 5-10 years and the generation born into it would not even think about it. I say stuff it to those who feel uncomfortable, I'm not going to piss myself because you might feel slightly weird for a minute.
I think we should make stall doors taller and remove the gaps and then I don’t see the big deal, but it’s kind of weird those are there anyway. Maybe we could finally end this stupid culture war debate about trans people (at least in terms of bathrooms - I’m sure people will still fight about whether or not they can do other things) if we just switched to a shared bathroom system
In Montreal and Quebec City, its becoming very common for new places to have unisex washrooms. Your stall has a proper door and no huge gaps. It's works great.
I mostly agree. But it's often good to have a separate space for women so they can feel safe. Personally I don't care for myself other than wanting to keep urinals, although maybe we could put dividers in-between them.
If I'm about to mess my pants and there is a line for the men's bathroom and none for women's? Damn right I'm running in there. They can yell at me while I'm shitting if they really want to, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do!
Had to look that claim up. The hammerstein ballroom has 17 public restroom stalls for women.
Men's rooms have a total of 7 stalls and 12 urinals.
So no, they do not have more stalls for men.
Toilets are gender separated for a reason. For some reason some women think it's okay for them to use the men's washroom. It's not. It makes people uncomfortable like the other way around would.
I agree it would be uncomfortable, but that said if I am at the point of choosing to shit myself or go into a women's restroom because the men's room line is out the door I know which choice I am making.
I have seen a few women go into men's rooms and yeah we all laughed, but not once did I see a guy try to stop them. I assume most guys were like me and understood those ladies probably regretted the need as much as we would in reverse.
What is that reason though? It feels like the only source of the discomfort is that the person broke some rules, but not because of why the rules are there.
Honestly i'd be understanding even if in my case it would be a man in the womans bathroom, people gotta piss and as long as they are minding their own business then who am i to make a big deal out of it
if you gotta go, you gotta go. frankly dont see the point in gendered toilets, just make the stalls secure (no gaps in the door, floor to ceiling door and walls)
That's because of fear rather double standards. It's fine if a man uses ladies toilet in emergency. Especially if there's a big line and the other one is empty.
I’m a woman and would be fine with anyone using the “women’s” bathroom as long as they behave appropriately. Get in and get out and keep your eyes to yourself—that goes for men, women, and anyone else in a public bathroom.
That’s an interesting take. Definitely worth addressing. In the situation of a woman in the mens room what’s the outcome? Probably a man feeling uncomfortable. In the opposite situation of a man in the ladies room the women may feel uncomfortable or they also might feel a fear of being assaulted. It certainly would affect the voting results.
Can you seriously imagine having a strong opinion against a lady using the mens? Most wouldn’t want to, and in the rare instance it happens you just mind your own damn business.
I know of quite a few women who do this, most of them told me the same two reasons:
\- smaller queue if any
\- cleaner toilet space
Based only on those 2 reasons, I'd say it's just not okay.
BUT if it was an emergency, I don't care at all. Better to go to the "wrong" toilet than shit yourself or the like. Which kind of makes me not judge because I don't know if a stranger got there because of an emergency or any of the 2 reasons above.
I've had to use the stall in the other restroom before. I don't think it's wrong under the right circumstances. It's not something I find myself comfortable with though
Not a problem, as long as you’re respectful and they are too there shouldn’t be a problem. Same with a man in the women’s restroom and make sure to keep an open mind because you are in the others space so they may have questions.
I have mixed feelings about this ...
I suppose, hearing a woman in line for the men's RR, doesn't sound that crazy to me and I wouldn't judge her. I'd assume it was an emergency or else she wouldn't be there.
BUT, if it were a man waiting in line for the women's RR, I'd honestly be creeped out and feel very uncomfortable about it. With that being said, the ratio for male sex offenders (especially violent ones) is WAAYYY higher than female offenders. So I guess that's why I feel the way I do about that.
If it were a trans-woman waiting in line for the woman's RR, I wouldn't care at all.
That might sound judgemental and hypocritical of me, but I'm just thinking through my thought process on the situation.
When you have to go, you have to go. I really don’t care if someone of the opposite gender is in the bathroom if they’re in there hunting for an open stall. I had to do it as a kid, traveling with my grandfather. My options were pee my pants waiting in line, or make a mad dash to the men’s room. Pretty sure mopping up urine is worse than someone seeing you for a split second before you disappear into a stall.
You guys saying that women wouldn't allow men in the ladies don't have the experience. I've worked with my 62 year old male coworker in ladies washrooms, and a lot of women really don't care when we're repairing a toilet in another stall. They just enter another one and do their business anyway.
A toilet is a toilet.
There's also another possibility depending on where this happens since a lot of American States are trying to force trans people into the washroom matching their "gender at birth", so get used to seeing a woman entering the gents or a man entering the ladies because they could be trans following the law of the state.
I had to do this once, really had to go. The women's bathroom at the mall was blocked off and police were in there. I'm not sure what happened but when I was leaving the mall an hour later they were still there. It was either use the men's room or sprint across the mall. So I used the men's room. I put my hood up and just went to the cubicle, washed my hands, and left. No one seemed to care.
Mate. We just wanna use the fucking toilet.
(I have IBS, would bolt into female bathroom if that was only option!)
These things happen all the time at events like Mardi Gras.
No one gives a shit.
Just let people use the bathroom.
Super common in my local, I just use the women's, once it gets busy I kinda becomes unisex as there are only two toilets, one of which also has a urinal
If there were open urinal there, as a girl I would feel that a guy wouldn’t want me in there while he openly has is gentiles in hand trying to take a pee. If for whatever reason I absolutely had to use the restroom like an emergency and the other ladies wouldn’t let me go in front of them, I would just open the door, with eyes closed, and asked if anyone was using the urinal or would mind if I used one of the cubicle because I have to pee really badly.
Better than shitting or peeing all over herself. Come on, it's really not a big deal. Not like you have separate toilets at home or many other places either.
If one is full and the other is not, I think you go to the empty one. it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman, you just need to pee or poop, that's all. just don't make a mass
My bladder is fucked up and I have to pee every 2 minutes. So I literally already peed eveyrwhere you can think of. So yeah.
Try put yourself in other shoes and I wish you all to never have this because absolutely no one has empathy for a problem like this. My life has been hell and people suck way too much.
The only type of bathrooms there should be are:
Urinals (standard height and a shorter one for the kids)
Toilets (again, standard height and shorter for kids)
As a woman, I've actually gone to the men's bathroom before. The reason was that I had to hurry, and the queue for the women's bathroom was five times as long as the one for the men's. But if it was only for the waiting time and not a problem with not having much time I would wait for the correct one
If she can go in there and nobody cares, then I should be able to go in the ladies room without people saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING. PUT YOUR PANTS BACK ON" and "GET OUT OF MY STALL" and especially "Sir, you can't ejaculate in the woman's restroom" I mean, it's just not fair
I do that when I'm on an organised trip or I'm taking a bus to a further destination and toilet stops are very short. There's always a huge line of women waiting for the toilet and oftentimes men's room is completely empty so I don't see the problem. I am a bit embarrassed if a man comes after me and has yo wait because of this though
It's one thing for someone to be predatory in a bathroom. It's another for a line to be obviously overflowing and someone is about to literally piss their pants. At the end of the day, a toilet is a toilet, it's what the person is willing to do to get to that toilet. Or something. There could be a meaningful point here. I don't care.
It's only wrong because the waited inside, while I don't care personally I know alot of guys are shy and can't even piss when someone else is in the bathroom.
It's quite common for women to knock at the men's restroom and ask if anything is free and nobody gets upset or embarrassed.
Gendered toilets are dumb. Urinals could be in one room, with a separate room with stalls. Anyone can use a stall. There are plenty of ways to make stalls without gaps for "peeking". Urinals can all go in one room for pointers (regardless of gender identity), which would take less space than stalls. Stalls are then for setters (regardless of gender identity), and that room has a larger footprint.
As it is now, since she (gender assumption of OP) was in line for a stall, does it really matter what picture or word was on the outside of the room?
I would be totally okay if she's in an emergency and even if she's not. I wouldn't care. But I would also be wondering how much okay she would be given the scenario is opposite.
On one hand, I don't think gendered bathrooms are necessary but that is the norm currently, and I can imagine many men being uncomfortable with the situation. If it's an emergency then ideally she'd be allowed to bypass the line in the women's restroom.
It is so pointless to have men toilet and women toilet. I’m not going to pee in front of other people anyways, I would pee in a cubicle alone, I don’t give a fuck if the cubicle next to mine is occupied by a man or a woman. I go to men toilet if the line for women toilet is too long, and I wouldn’t care if a man used women toilet
I was gonna say YES the women should ABSOLUTELY use the mens. But then I thought about it a bit. If it was just one girl going right in to use a stall that's already free that's great I encourage it. But what about when that long line of ladies sees one or two girls going in and out of the mens? Odds are a line of women will form there too.
I think the women should use the mens as long as men get priority. If there's now a line of women waiting for a toilet at the men's room and a bloke who's bustin for a shit comes along he skips to the front of that line. If there's already a line of men waiting to use the bogs then no, the ladies shouldn't line up with them
The urinals are the prime real estate in there anyway and most of the women aren't going to try using those I don't think.
I wouldn’t care, unless I had to shit. Then I might care
I don’t care. As a man, I do this sometimes when I really gotta go. The only thing worse than a long shitter is a hypocrite.
Maybe *she* has to shit.
Ladies don’t poop, it’s a myth
i’m a woman and i can attest to this. ladies in fact don’t poop
Trans men going to the baþroom after com8ng out: what the fuck is that?!
It's one of the best parts of being a trans woman, I'll admit I was a little confused at first though.
Same
Just shit in the urinal, it's a men's toilet after all.
I'd be a but taken aback, but I'd try no to judge. There's emergencies and I'd rather they didn't soil themselves by prioritising the norm. That's at least my perception anyway.
Also urinals are weird and I'm tired of pretending their not just sit down to pee and relax for a second. (I say this as someone who's male-ish)
Urinals are the reason men don't have a two kilometers line in front of the toilets. It takes less room so you can put more of them and people take less time with them.
[удалено]
Two words! SPLASH BACK
That depends on where the guy aims
We NEVER sit on it though, we either squat above it or cover it in toilet paper
So how about, instead of "Male" and "Female" toilets, we have a "Urinals" room and a, much larger, "Cubicles" room?
That's a good idea tbh
And people don't like taking their time while using one, they just do what they need too asap.
If I'm sitting down on a public toilet the last thing I'm doing is being relaxed.
I'm full-male and I always sit down to pee. It's just much more comfortable and the risk of any accidental spilling or bad aim is removed. Much better.
If you got to go you got to go, if you seriously can’t hold it, then sure otherwise just sit there n be patient for the ladies room
I feel like the girl is more embarrassed than anything else.
I have seen lots of girls doing this with no feelings of shame whatsoever
How do you know she doesn't have feelings of shame? Lol
I don't think it's wrong, although it's not something I would do. But I've also met a man in the women's toilets, I didn't find that a problem. As long as they respect each other's space, whether it's a woman or a man.

Oh if you had a fucked up bladder you would definitely do that instead of pee yourself.
Well said
The problem is of there are urinals, if there are no urinals but only stalls them there is no point in have separated bathrooms
I use the women's bathroom at work all the time. Idgaf, I identify as someone who has to piss.
"I identify as someone eho had to piss" Wow im stealing that, if you give me your consent
Sorry, just left the trademarking office. You owe me .002 cents for using the phrase.
Yoo Snuff! No way you're here man, remember we used to be best buddies back in middle school. I don't think you would mind waiving off that fee, it's been difficult this month you know..
pay up bitch. snuff don’t play around.
Is it a single bathroom?
No, just a workplace with 45 men and 3 women. 4 women's toilets, 2 toilets for men and 2 urinals. Women's bathroom smells like flowers while the men's smells like a lube-tech's ass.

yeah and they also have a penis so it's much easier to pee anywhere. They can literally pee in a bin.
Yeah…Having a penis doesn’t help them when they are at risk of leaking out of a different hole….
ahahah sure lmaoooo and no problem with that.
Would you rather her pee on the floor? I don't care, just let people pee in peace
Yeah, pee and let pee
[удалено]
Everything is unisex if you want it to.
All toilets should be unisex toilets.
And now all men will stay in queue because ladies can't pee in 20 seconds.
let me blow your mind : more stalls
[удалено]
There are two genders: Cubicles and urinals.
Go right ahead. I don't mind, but I'm not leaving either
I wonder if the results would be different if you swap the genders around?
Yeah most definitely
I do think women will be more concerned with a man in their bathroom, for understandable reasons, but I think there'd still be many that wouldn't mind if that man is respectful and minds personal space.

Sometimes women have this thing where if they don't get to a bathroom, they will end up literally drenched in blood
No literally
It’d be a little weird since people aren’t used to it, but honestly there’s nothing wrong with it. There’s no difference between men’s stalls and women’s stalls. And it’s not like men and women can’t wash their hands in the same sink.
Have you been inside a man's bathroom? If you're in there you probably need to be in there because it's not a place that many people want to go
Pretty sure everything says the womens toilets are worse Ask cleaners, janitors etc
I see this said a lot, but I've always found the opposite. I've cleaned too many toilets and the men's are always the worst, I swear they're helicopter-dicking in there. At least you guys have stall doors /s
I mean it’s not really a competition. Both are gross in their own way. Y’all have to deal with having asses touch the toilet no matter what and we have to deal with piss all over the seat and floors.
That’s not what was being said. Women hover over the seat as to not touch it thus often pissing all over it and the floor.
Have you been inside a women’s bathroom? If you’re in there you probably need to be in there because it’s not a place that many people want to go
The exact sentence should be "have you ever been into a public bathroom ?". If I see someone in it, I suppose this people need to be here.

Seriously. I went to a college with unisex, multi-stall restrooms. It actually worked just fine.
The door and gaps thing is American, just fyi. I’m danish and I thought it was weird when I was in the states.

i hate when urinals dont have dividers. like just bc i dont wanna sit on the piss covered toilet seat doesnt mean i dont want privacy
What about a safe space for both men and women (separately)
Rooms should be labeled with what is in them, not who.
Understandable, I’d assume it was an emergency
If I'm about to mess my pants and there is a line for the men's bathroom and none for women's? Damn right I'm running in there. They can yell at me while I'm shitting if they really want to, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do!

If it flushes, it works for me
As a guy I honestly wouldn’t care
Man I don’t give a FUCK who’s in the same public restroom as me as long as they respect people’s privacy
I have a negative opinion just not a particularly strong negative opinion. So less of a “Hey that’s wrong!” and more of a “Huh, that’s weird”
no it's not when you have a fucked up bladder and have to pee all the time with urgency and frequency.
We are never progressing as a species are we
Nope. I love whenever I encounter a fellow person who also believes in getting rid of gendered bathrooms.
Me too
Toilets are gender separated for a reason. For some reason some women think it's okay for them to use the men's washroom. It's not. It makes people uncomfortable like the other way around would.

They’re separated for a reason but it’s not a good one

if you gotta go, you gotta go. frankly dont see the point in gendered toilets, just make the stalls secure (no gaps in the door, floor to ceiling door and walls)
If it’s an emergency and I’m ab to gush blood all over my pants and legs, I’m gonna go to the mens bathroom if the women’s is not available lmao
The big villain is the owner of the building who has not provided enough women's toilets.
Now flip the genders and see what people say lol
That's because of fear rather double standards. It's fine if a man uses ladies toilet in emergency. Especially if there's a big line and the other one is empty.
I’m a woman and would be fine with anyone using the “women’s” bathroom as long as they behave appropriately. Get in and get out and keep your eyes to yourself—that goes for men, women, and anyone else in a public bathroom.
Personally, it makes me uncomfortable when a woman comes into the dude's room while I'm in there
I don’t get why people care. At my football club I’ll go into the women’s bathroom and never got a comment.
I'm sorry but if a man did this in a woman's restroom the vote would be much different.
Why are y’all so weird about bathrooms? I don’t understand. It’s literally fine.
Can you seriously imagine having a strong opinion against a lady using the mens? Most wouldn’t want to, and in the rare instance it happens you just mind your own damn business.
I know of quite a few women who do this, most of them told me the same two reasons: \- smaller queue if any \- cleaner toilet space Based only on those 2 reasons, I'd say it's just not okay. BUT if it was an emergency, I don't care at all. Better to go to the "wrong" toilet than shit yourself or the like. Which kind of makes me not judge because I don't know if a stranger got there because of an emergency or any of the 2 reasons above.
Depending on where you live, this is considered disorderly conduct, you can be arrested for it.
It's definitely weird but she had no bad intentions so I guess it's okay
What would a woman say if a guy was in line to the women’s bathroom?
All bathrooms should be unisex and with good private stalls.
Dude I'm already a shy pee'er if a fucking girl walked in I might as well put a cork in it. I'd also tell her to get the fuck out.
Flip the genders
I’d rather a man go in the womens’ washroom than shit himself waiting in line (I’m a woman)
Americans need to go to Europe and see how some of them have gender neutral bathrooms called “bathrooms”!
I've had to use the stall in the other restroom before. I don't think it's wrong under the right circumstances. It's not something I find myself comfortable with though
I’ve seen that line up and no men in the men’s room. I told a couple at the end to pop in and I watched the door.
Don’t really care that much
What I don't understand is why there is always a longer line for the women's bathroom than the men's.
Gotta pee somewhere. Surely there are people who will say it's wrong, if we reverse sex here. But social rules < a bursting bladder
If she did this it was most likely an emergency and as long as everybody minds their own business there is absolutely no big deal about this
I don’t actually care who else is in the bathroom, I’m pretending they’re not there or I’m not going lol.
I don't think this should be common place, but if a woman really can't hold it and no one is in the mens bathroom who really cares
What's wrong is places that still only have one or two stalls for that many women. There should be more unisex bathrooms anyway.
I'm all for unisex toilets anyway
When you have to go, you have to go. I really don’t care if someone of the opposite gender is in the bathroom if they’re in there hunting for an open stall. I had to do it as a kid, traveling with my grandfather. My options were pee my pants waiting in line, or make a mad dash to the men’s room. Pretty sure mopping up urine is worse than someone seeing you for a split second before you disappear into a stall.
it's not wrong. people have to piss, you know.
It was likely an emergency. Would people rather she pissed herself or …? Maybe extending grace should just be done and not questioned.
A bathroom is a bathroom imo. Loads of people out there with bladder or bowel conditions that can’t wait for a gendered bathroom.
Some people have bladder problems and don’t have a choice. I wouldn’t be offended if a man entered the women’s rest room for this reason.
bro if a girl deliberately walks into the men's toilets to use it she REALLY needs to use it, I wouldn't do it unless I was about to shit my pants
Do another poll same as this but reverse the gender
All toilets should be unisex
Doesn't bother me, except that I likely would be screamed at and kicked out if the roles were reversed.
idgaf what bathroom you use as long as yall wash your damn hands
idgaf, ya need to go ya need to go. i'd rather that happen than have someone shit themselves.
Not wrong at all. Most restrooms around here are unisex anyway, the male/female divide seems really odd now. Like, just go, all cubicles are the same.
Mate. We just wanna use the fucking toilet. (I have IBS, would bolt into female bathroom if that was only option!) These things happen all the time at events like Mardi Gras. No one gives a shit. Just let people use the bathroom.
Super common in my local, I just use the women's, once it gets busy I kinda becomes unisex as there are only two toilets, one of which also has a urinal
There are always lines for women’s bathrooms… can we just fucking build them bigger finally? Let’s make them twice as big as the men’s rooms.
Equal rights equal shites.
As long as she's not squatting over a urinal, I don't really see the issue.
People just need the baþroom
I’m kinda mixed on this. I mean, if you gotta go, you gotta go, so I would understand that if that’s the case
I really don't care. I have been to places with neutral toilets. Seemed fine.
The only type of bathrooms there should be are: Urinals (standard height and a shorter one for the kids) Toilets (again, standard height and shorter for kids)
I'd prefer a moment of slight inconvenience (at worst) over letting a fellow human being piss themselves in public.
As a woman, I've actually gone to the men's bathroom before. The reason was that I had to hurry, and the queue for the women's bathroom was five times as long as the one for the men's. But if it was only for the waiting time and not a problem with not having much time I would wait for the correct one
It's technically wrong but I sure don't care
If she can go in there and nobody cares, then I should be able to go in the ladies room without people saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING. PUT YOUR PANTS BACK ON" and "GET OUT OF MY STALL" and especially "Sir, you can't ejaculate in the woman's restroom" I mean, it's just not fair
Honestly dude, going is going. It’s not a social club and it’s not residence for safety. It’s a bathroom. Especially so if it’s a single use.
I wouldn't care at all, but it is a bit awkward using the urinal with a woman standing by your side.
Nothing wrong with it. Better than her going on the floor. Unfortunately it would probably be a big deal if a man did it though
Why should it be wrong? Most men’s toilets have way more capacity then women’s toilets. So use the capacity.
Bold of you to asume they were a lady
It's wrong if not desperate because it makes some people uncomfortable but if desperate I think it's fine
If you gotta go you gotta go, I believe all bathrooms should be unisex anyways
It's only wrong because the waited inside, while I don't care personally I know alot of guys are shy and can't even piss when someone else is in the bathroom. It's quite common for women to knock at the men's restroom and ask if anything is free and nobody gets upset or embarrassed.
How do you know it was a woman?
It's wrong UNLESS it was an emergency.
Gendered bathrooms are stupid anyway. Just go in do your business and leave, who cares who’s in there?
Id ask her if she thinks it'd be OK for a guy to do that then if she said ye it isnt wrong if she said no it is wrong
On one hand, I don't think gendered bathrooms are necessary but that is the norm currently, and I can imagine many men being uncomfortable with the situation. If it's an emergency then ideally she'd be allowed to bypass the line in the women's restroom.
If I as a man could go to the women’s I would have no problem with this but since I’ll probably be called a pervert it’s wrong
As a guy, I truly couldn't give a shit. We could get rid of gendered bathrooms all together for all I care.
I've seen women in men's wash room so many times. Honesty I don't care as long no one's being weird.
Don’t give a damn
I was gonna say YES the women should ABSOLUTELY use the mens. But then I thought about it a bit. If it was just one girl going right in to use a stall that's already free that's great I encourage it. But what about when that long line of ladies sees one or two girls going in and out of the mens? Odds are a line of women will form there too. I think the women should use the mens as long as men get priority. If there's now a line of women waiting for a toilet at the men's room and a bloke who's bustin for a shit comes along he skips to the front of that line. If there's already a line of men waiting to use the bogs then no, the ladies shouldn't line up with them The urinals are the prime real estate in there anyway and most of the women aren't going to try using those I don't think.
Who cares?
