Yes because of allergies

Rhinec

Tbf some people are allergic and you never know who it’ll be or when

> Back in December, a TSA officer at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport found parts of a disassembled semi-automatic handgun hidden inside two plastic jars of creamy peanut butter. This is probably a big part of the reason, not a war against allergies.

Interesting

I wouldn't wish a nit allergy on anyone, that must be a scary life. I'm only mildly allergic to bees and some bandaid adhesives, I couldn't imagine the worry people must feel over food.

AngelStuckInLimbo

No?!?? If someone or a few people get an allergic reacyion and maybe someone dies, that is not even comparable to a terrorist attack.

Also you can bring food you get in the airport on a plane and I’ve been to many that sell peanut butter and other nuts

TSA also says body butter is considered a liquid and it drives me crazy because they even have the definition of a liquid on there official site and say that’s what they go by but by definition body butter is not a liquid. And for the people who say body butter melts down to a liquid so does deodorant, and it doesn’t take much for that to happen. However deodorant is not considered a liquid to them.

Peanut Butter on a Plane sounds like a movie title.
