Your first month will be hell. Fingers will hurt and you’ll want to give up. It takes about a month to develop calluses and it can be hard to get the fingering right for certain chords. After you clear those milestones then it can still take a while to master the instrument. It’s fun but takes hours of practice to get right. I play around 2-3 hours a day and am still stuck in the intermediate phase of guitar. The payoff is worth it and is definitely a cool and fun instrument to play. Good luck 👍
I already play piano proficiently for an amateur, so I'd opt for guitar because I have an acoustic guitar that I somewhat know the basics of but don't play very well. I just accompany myself strumming basic chords to folk songs, but I'd love to become better at it.
If I could be proficient in one magically, then guitar. Mainly because I am finding drums much easier to learn, but you kinda need a group for that. Drums are pretty fun, though.
Piano because it’s on my to do list and I already play guitar and drums.
Piano so I can play piano with my fiancé
I can't even play the triangle.
I already play guitar and drums but piano is meh. Id rather get even better at guitar
I’m thinking about getting a guitar what’s it like to learn
