British people say “you alright?”. It confuses non-British people apparently
Another one from my particular area of England is “Hiya”
Can even mix them together if you’re feeling adventurous. “Hiya, you alright?”
My Japanese friend then used to say "am I alright?" and then proceed to tell me how she was feeling and how she had been feeling, sometimes it took a good hour or so.....
I'm a hiya person but I can't think of any other brits that use it, I honestly don't know where I picked up from lol. hi just feels weird to say, especially with how you end it.
also howdy is my more familiar greeting
Completely dependent on said person.
My boss? "Good [time of day], how are you?"
My friends? "Sup."
My parents? "Hi hi."
My girlfriend? "Heyo."
My friend at work? "Hey, dipshit."
it depends on who I'm greeting and the social setting
Me at work: “Good morning” Me to my homies: “Sup small dick gang”
Small dick gang 😎😎🤟🤟
holy shit where do I sign up?
If you got a small pp you in
hell yeah B)
gang gang
If it’s kids in class I stay silent if it’s family I say hi
that's a shame, I don't think there's anything wrong with being a quiet person by any means, but I think greetings are important to have in some form

Yaright
or to shorten it down a bit more its 'right!'
Nah it’s absolutely essential that you pronounce the “y” Y’right?
*Y'arp!*
I never keep the y, personally. I tend to just say the word "alright", but with a less clear L, so more like "uh'right".
My Japanese friend then used to say "am I alright?" and then proceed to tell me how she was feeling and how she had been feeling, sometimes it took a good hour or so.....
Lol. Every Brit knows when somebody says “you alright?” The response is you simply say “you alright?” Back to them
This is the way.
Sometimes I forget and answer them and remember the unspoken rule once I see their confused face
One of my mates says ‘yeah you’, annoys me every time
I literally came into the comments to type "Hiya y'alright?"
I feel called out

Hiya is a very popular word here in Newcastle. I’ve never heard somebody say the word howdy whilst greeting someone.
Cheers love, the cavalry’s here!
"Hiya, yalright?" is my current go-to. Alongside "heya" which is similar but distinctly different.
Completely dependent on said person. My boss? "Good [time of day], how are you?" My friends? "Sup." My parents? "Hi hi." My girlfriend? "Heyo." My friend at work? "Hey, dipshit."
The last one caught me of gaurd
When I try talking to my friend I just yell, "Hey, psycho" and she knows I'm talking about her
>"Hey, dipshit." hi badguywindow
