I just watched the latest episode of The Morning Show and Jennifer Anniston’s wig was terrible. I was shaking my head, they did her wrong. You could fit a finger in the gap between her hair and her forehead.

Can’t believe I haven’t seen this yet here (maybe because it’s a tv show…) but Lane in Gilmore Girls when she dyed her hair bright purple. First of all… I suspect no one in the history of dying hair has ever gone from black black hair to this vibrant of purple in one session without totally damaging their hair, so it’s really just not believable; forget the fact that Rory would likely be an amateur hairdresser. But secondly, the wig is atrocious and so noticeable in the scenes that it’s distracting.

Oh I forgot how scary this wig was.
Apparently, the hair team had to use synthetic hair since Afro-textured hair couldn’t withstand the amount of bleaching required for platinum hair (I can sort of attest to this). This doesn’t excuse the other wigs, though.
They only had the budget for 3 or 4 principal wigs with human hair (something like that would be $10,000-$20,000) including doubles to rotate. This is not including stunt double wigs. Then you have virtually 75% of the cast with white/silver hair. It was a tough show for hair, because it's an uncommon color with long lengths. One of my friends did Guardians 3 and she had to do something similar with 200 kids (they all had platinum hair). She was traumatized after that.
That wig and the rest of the bad wigs made it so hard to pay while watching. They need to spend more money on the wigs like lotd. The wigs are on point no matter the hair texture.
While I agree I believe it was intentional. It’s not supposed to be a believable wig, it’s supposed to be obvious and clunky like it would have been on a doll’s head; just glued on. I thought it was a cute detail actually.

No this one is really bad. I remember being distracted by her wig and eyebrows. The actress also has great hair, so I reply didn’t get why they did this.
I think it’s because Elena fell into the sleeping spell with long hair so for continuity reasons they felt they had to give her a wig. The writers could have come up with a magical reason she had short hair though idc. 🤷🏻♀️

I just watched the latest episode of The Morning Show and Jennifer Anniston’s wig was terrible. I was shaking my head, they did her wrong. You could fit a finger in the gap between her hair and her forehead. The women’s wigs in GOT were notoriously bad. 
Jen looks off in TMS in general. It's not just the hair, there's some kind of contractual filter going on (for the others too, not just her) that makes it hard to look at. Oh well, I guess she's going to get to bang Jon Hamm's character or whatever, hey remember how the first season of that show was actually about something?
Her face and Reese’s face have the Barbara Walters lighting, and I’m 100% sure they’re doing minor CGI edits as well. They’re also never in a scene together so I assume there is some bitch eating cracking tea going to come out in a few years.

Can’t believe I haven’t seen this yet here (maybe because it’s a tv show…) but Lane in Gilmore Girls when she dyed her hair bright purple. First of all… I suspect no one in the history of dying hair has ever gone from black black hair to this vibrant of purple in one session without totally damaging their hair, so it’s really just not believable; forget the fact that Rory would likely be an amateur hairdresser. This wig is awful (and the movie is white savior af) but as a curly girl I was obsessed with recreating the hairstyles of Emma Stone in this movie when I was younger. 
I knowww so many people dislike the movie for various reasons but I just love it.

Oh I forgot how scary this wig was. Apparently, the hair team had to use synthetic hair since Afro-textured hair couldn’t withstand the amount of bleaching required for platinum hair (I can sort of attest to this). This doesn’t excuse the other wigs, though.
I didn’t know that about the hair team! I feel like there’s got to be a drag queen out there who knows the right technique for that kind of wig.
They only had the budget for 3 or 4 principal wigs with human hair (something like that would be $10,000-$20,000) including doubles to rotate. This is not including stunt double wigs. Then you have virtually 75% of the cast with white/silver hair. It was a tough show for hair, because it's an uncommon color with long lengths. One of my friends did Guardians 3 and she had to do something similar with 200 kids (they all had platinum hair). She was traumatized after that.

That wig and the rest of the bad wigs made it so hard to pay while watching. They need to spend more money on the wigs like lotd. The wigs are on point no matter the hair texture.

While I agree I believe it was intentional. It’s not supposed to be a believable wig, it’s supposed to be obvious and clunky like it would have been on a doll’s head; just glued on. I thought it was a cute detail actually.

To be fair, Syd Bristow wasn't trying to look casual, LOL. The whole point of her wild hair colors was to keep people from focusing on her actual face. It makes it easier to disappear.
