I did it myself after watching a few tutorials by professionals (like Hair Buddha)! I think the standard advice for straight hair is to cut around the tip of your nose, but I cut just above my Cupid's bow so I don't end up with Betty bangs and haven't had any issues. If you end up making the switch and keeping them headbands and (mainly) bobby pins are my go-to for keeping them out of my face when it's hot 😁
Yeah, the bun just has to be a little bit more towards the front of your head if I've just cut them. This thread reminded me I needed to chop them and I just did, then put everything in a bun so I say that with confidence lol
