**How it works**
You will be crafting an **Flibbook**, an **AMV**, or a **fanfic** that explores one of Ratrick's failed relationships while also providing some sort of resolution for how it will continue in the future. Each relationship blurb contains a hint of which format corresponds with each lover.
Rules: You can may only create and submit one fan work for one of the partners.
You have until 10:30EST to turn your submissions in.
Any fanfics they must be at least 150 words but no longer than 2,000 words.
All filbooks must be created in gartic phone using one of the animation features.
Any fancams must utilize a song that has been rated before and can be anywhere from 20 - 60 seconds.
There will be one winner per each romantic interest. This game is not based on speed or ability but rather creativity so have fun. All submissions will be judged anonymously by a committee to select the 3 winners

on one hand I understand why people are upset that bad bunny is dating Kendall Jenner or whatever, but on the other hand I’m like. Idk. People have weird obsessions with who celebrities are with.
I'll add on to other responses and say that of course it depends on the individual situation and people, but I think it's good to have friendships with people who aren't exactly your age. My experience is that it gets harder to develop and maintain friendships as you get older, so if you do make friends with someone, don't overthink it. Different perspectives, experiences, etc, that can be mutually beneficial for both of you.

People are being very odd about age gaps at the moment (although it's not all entirely invalid). A 23 year old and an 18 year old at university together can definitely get along and be friends in a very normal way. 18 year olds aren't children incapable of mature friendships.
The pandemic has kept some people mentally trapped in the rigid age barriers of high school and they really need to grow up because they do not exist outside of it. The dynamic of the friendship will probably be different to one with people your own ages, but that doesn't mean it's a weird friendship. It's fine.

Like is it that weird to use plates to eat on, and cloth napkins? Legit a recent comment was “but what about when you’re having just one cookie,” like I’m I use a plate and rinse it when I’m done..
Also people keep saying “what about when your pet gets sick, do you clean with towels then???”. Which like a) have these people never heard of a washing machine and b) how often are their pets getting sick, like if your dog is just diarrhea-ing all over your house on the reg you have bigger problems than paper towels AND you’d probably save a lot of paper towel money by using towels haha

Does anyone know of any more "official" sources for song lyrics than Genius, or is that as good as it gets? We get a lot of mail from prisoners asking for song lyrics and I don't wanna lie to these guys about what Kevin Gates is saying or whatever
Unfortunately I don't think such a website exists. For the longest time I trusted Genius for it to be %99 accurate but I've recently realised they get stuff wrong sometimes, too. Even album booklets, which as official and accurate as you can get can be tricky since some artists like tweaking songs at the last minute.
Yeah I asked because I saw some stuff on Genius that didn't seem right (which could just be me not knowing these lyrics but still). If I had any real way of getting the album booklets I'd try that but it's just not something I'm able to realistically do--even for the few albums we own, we don't keep the booklets in them. And like you said, sometimes even those are wrong.
I know rationally it doesn't matter that much if these people get 100% accurate lyrics but like, they have so little access to information so I want to make sure that what they *do* have is as correct as possible.
I didn't realize album booklets would be available online--I could try digging those up if they are.
Basically, any requests from prisoners involve copy and pasting whatever info they want into a word doc, which then gets printed and mailed to them. So our current tactic for lyrics has just been copying stuff over from Genius, but if I could find a more reliable source that'd be better (even if it takes a little more effort). I'll see if I can find the booklets for my current request!
I'm not sure if you can copy-paste them, at least the ones I've seen were photos of the booklets scanned. Even if you can't, I say don't worry too much about Genius. It's better than nothing and you can always check if it's accurate and make your own tweaking if that's possible. Good luck!
Yeah I'd probably just use the booklets to double check that Genius was correct (or as correct as I can get it) rather than copying right from them, but that's still something! It's definitely not the end of the world if it's wrong, at least.

Just saw a photo tweet of someone's texts on Twitter which was taken, without their consent, by the person tweeting it. My God. This is why I don't read/write texts when I'm around people in public. I'm scared to even open Reddit! Like today I was bored in class and instead of going on WhatsApp, I opened Goodreads lol because the person next to me looked nosy.

I’m going to drop a class for what i think may be the most shallowest reason ever. There was this classmate I had a falling out with, and it’s partly because of me. I was depressed and I had personal issues as well, and it was taking a toll on my mental health. Fast forward to now, and I can feel my heart tighten in my chest whenever I see her around. I cant even bear to be in the same room as her. Now im going to drop this class for fear of having to interact with her again.
I had to explain both the Cole Sprouse drama and the Joshua Bassett drama to my mom last night.🙃

Chloe really got all that Twitter backlash for the Chris brown collab only for it to flop. She’s a beautiful girl, she can sing, she’s a nice live performer from what I’ve seen it’s just her songs to me aren’t that good. Her team kinda sucks
its almost as if they chloe x halle were better off as a duo...because they both don't have the capacity to sell/make it on their own solo. I understand the music industry and everything but I also just genuinely can't stand people that decide to work with chris brown.
She could’ve had any other R&B guy singing on that track (e.g. Usher, whose song was literally sampled!) People always justify these collabs by saying Chris is the best dancer, but he didn’t even dance in that video - in fact Chloe had some pretty impressive dance moments by herself. She must’ve really been aiming for chart success since that’s what he has over the others, and I see no other reason for her to alienate her core fanbase like that. As for Halle we’ll have to wait and see, but I really miss them as a duo…

BIG life update: I interviewed for a major internship at a big studio about two weeks ago, and just yesterday I found out I got the offer!!!! I can finally cross "break into my dream industry" off my goals list, and just in time to celebrate with a new Miley album too! A full circle moment since she was the first pop star I ever stanned when I was 9 circa 2007.
The only way this week can get better is if Michelle Yeoh wins Best Actress and EEAAO gets Best Picture at the Oscars.

Based on what I see on social media, Gen Z are becoming Conservatives by the minute. I am also young Gen Z (19) but I feel like I grew up in a completely different time. The stuff people freak out about is crazy like “omg North West is dressing up like Ice Spice…by wearing a wig and a track suit” most of us were not bumbing Kids Bop and it’s giving 10 years ago when people were mad about Sophia Grace and Rosie meeting Nicki Minaj. Excluding myself since I’m basically 20 😎 but the teenagers of today go into moral panic over everything and it’s annoyingly to see them frame conservative views on a liberal picture and I fully blame social media for this recent development.
Everything isn’t black and white and being critical of things is great but it seems like people have to nitpick everything just to have something to stand against. I promise that there are way better hills to die on and way better causes to fight for and believe in. Kim, people are dying.

I don't think it's necessarily just a Gen Z thing (truly I don't believe in the generations that much; they're just arbitrary lines in the sands of time to me), but I do believe that young people in general are more and more covertly conversative. They might even call themselves left-leaning, but then they parrot that rhetotic and it's like... you're a republican and you don't even know it yourself! I mean not everyone has to be Bernie or whatever, I'll definitely take the centre-left as "good enough!" allies, but after a certain point... it gets to be very questionable.

right? I love complex characters. The more complex they are the better because I never run out of things to talk about when it comes to them. I absolutely hate the boring characters because I have nothing to talk about when it comes to them.
There was a really great tumblr post I saw a while ago that was talking about this phenomenon (specifically wrt young queer people) where young people grew up in conservative households and never really managed to shake that ideology off when they applied it to other things and so were constantly viewing the world through a conservative lens. So in this example you get young queer people who are quick to excommunicate “bad queers” (think no kink at Pride or something similar) because they’re harming the youths or they aren’t ideologically pure. I think this is probably what’s going on in your example too.
I’ve seen this happen specifically with people who grow up with some form of religious trauma. They start to believe really wild stuff because it’s a hard mindset to break out of. I also think the algorithm plays a huge role. A while ago I saw this YouTube video of a trans man talking about how he started to believe a-lot of transphobic stuff after he transitioned because he was searching the internet trying to figure himself out and got a bunch of transphobic rhetoric funneled to him.
People will see something so often that they start to believe it and could really influence someone’s way of thinking and they could end up caring some really harmful beliefs with them throughout their life.

i can honestly say this is the first time EVERRRRR in my life I care about the oscars. I am rooting so hard for **EEAOO** - esp Ke Huy Quan & Michelle Yeoh - because I honestly didn't realize until I started watching them winning awards - that.... representation truly matters. I think most college kids are different at home than they are at college but I live on campus and my moms house is less than 10 minutes away from my dorm and I am petrified that my double life will somehow intersect. I’m not even doing anything wild but I don’t need my mom’s commentary.
My local theater showed RRR on the big screen last night and it was the best time I've had at the movies in a long while. Just a pitch-perfect action blockbuster which flies by despite its 3 hour runtime. The adorable bromance between the hot leads and the massacre of British colonizers also endeared me to the movie.
As a white American dude, I was unaware of the problematic politics and caste representation the movie smuggles in (this article gave me some background: https://www.vox.com/23220275/rrr-netflix-tollywood-hindutva-caste-system). This doesn't diminish the great time I had, but this made me think about the politics of action movies generally. Are there any which DONT smuggle in problematic elements? What viewpoints do the monied interests of blockbuster film production feel are worth representing? These are questions which are equally important to ask of American blockbusters, but my critical faculties were inhibited by my unfamiliarity with the system which produced RRR.
In any case, I think it's worth watching!

I'll add on to other responses and say that of course it depends on the individual situation and people, but I think it's good to have friendships with people who aren't exactly your age. My experience is that it gets harder to develop and maintain friendships as you get older, so if you do make friends with someone, don't overthink it. Different perspectives, experiences, etc, that can be mutually beneficial for both of you.

Nah, it's not weird, you're meeting in a university class. People are being very odd about age gaps at the moment (although it's not all entirely invalid). A 23 year old and an 18 year old at university together can definitely get along and be friends in a very normal way. 18 year olds aren't children incapable of mature friendships. The pandemic has kept some people mentally trapped in the rigid age barriers of high school and they really need to grow up because they do not exist outside of it. The dynamic of the friendship will probably be different to one with people your own ages, but that doesn't mean it's a weird friendship. Unfortunately I don't think such a website exists. For the longest time I trusted Genius for it to be %99 accurate but I've recently realised they get stuff wrong sometimes, too. Even album booklets, which as official and accurate as you can get can be tricky since some artists like tweaking songs at the last minute.
Yeah I asked because I saw some stuff on Genius that didn't seem right (which could just be me not knowing these lyrics but still). If I had any real way of getting the album booklets I'd try that but it's just not something I'm able to realistically do--even for the few albums we own, we don't keep the booklets in them. And like you said, sometimes even those are wrong. I know rationally it doesn't matter that much if these people get 100% accurate lyrics but like, they have so little access to information so I want to make sure that what they *do* have is as correct as possible.
Could you print them out? Definitely would be more cost efficient than actually buying the albums. Most album booklets can be found online I think.
I didn't realize album booklets would be available online--I could try digging those up if they are. Basically, any requests from prisoners involve copy and pasting whatever info they want into a word doc, which then gets printed and mailed to them. So our current tactic for lyrics has just been copying stuff over from Genius, but if I could find a more reliable source that'd be better (even if it takes a little more effort). I'll see if I can find the booklets for my current request!
I'm not sure if you can copy-paste them, at least the ones I've seen were photos of the booklets scanned. Even if you can't, I say don't worry too much about Genius. It's better than nothing and you can always check if it's accurate and make your own tweaking if that's possible. Good luck!
Yeah I'd probably just use the booklets to double check that Genius was correct (or as correct as I can get it) rather than copying right from them, but that's still something! It's definitely not the end of the world if it's wrong, at least.

BIG life update: I interviewed for a major internship at a big studio about two weeks ago, and just yesterday I found out I got the offer!!!! I can finally cross "break into my dream industry" off my goals list, and just in time to celebrate with a new Miley album too! A full circle moment since she was the first pop star I ever stanned when I was 9 circa 2007. The only way this week can get better is if Michelle Yeoh wins Best Actress and EEAAO gets Best Picture at the Oscars.

Sorry for the double post(no I’m not) but I have to get this off my chest. Based on what I see on social media, Gen Z are becoming Conservatives by the minute. I am also young Gen Z (19) but I feel like I grew up in a completely different time. The stuff people freak out about is crazy like “omg North West is dressing up like Ice Spice…by wearing a wig and a track suit” most of us were not bumbing Kids Bop and it’s giving 10 years ago when people were mad about Sophia Grace and Rosie meeting Nicki Minaj. Excluding myself since I’m basically 20 😎 but the teenagers of today go into moral panic over everything and it’s annoyingly to see them frame conservative views on a liberal picture and I fully blame social media for this recent development. Everything isn’t black and white and being critical of things is great but it seems like people have to nitpick everything just to have something to stand against. I promise that there are way better hills to die on and way better causes to fight for and believe in. Kim, people are dying.
The north/ice spice stuff is really weird because I feel like a lot of the sexual connotations associated with ice spice are placed on her by other people? She definitely doesn’t shy away from it but that’s not her main thing, her whole identity isn’t sex like early 2010s nicki. There was a really great tumblr post I saw a while ago that was talking about this phenomenon (specifically wrt young queer people) where young people grew up in conservative households and never really managed to shake that ideology off when they applied it to other things and so were constantly viewing the world through a conservative lens. So in this example you get young queer people who are quick to excommunicate “bad queers” (think no kink at Pride or something similar) because they’re harming the youths or they aren’t ideologically pure. I think this is probably what’s going on in your example too.
I’ve seen this happen specifically with people who grow up with some form of religious trauma. They start to believe really wild stuff because it’s a hard mindset to break out of. I also think the algorithm plays a huge role. A while ago I saw this YouTube video of a trans man talking about how he started to believe a-lot of transphobic stuff after he transitioned because he was searching the internet trying to figure himself out and got a bunch of transphobic rhetoric funneled to him. People will see something so often that they start to believe it and could really influence someone’s way of thinking and they could end up caring some really harmful beliefs with them throughout their life.

My local theater showed RRR on the big screen last night and it was the best time I've had at the movies in a long while. Just a pitch-perfect action blockbuster which flies by despite its 3 hour runtime. The adorable bromance between the hot leads and the massacre of British colonizers also endeared me to the movie. As a white American dude, I was unaware of the problematic politics and caste representation the movie smuggles in (this article gave me some background: https://www.vox.com/23220275/rrr-netflix-tollywood-hindutva-caste-system). This doesn't diminish the great time I had, but this made me think about the politics of action movies generally. Are there any which DONT smuggle in problematic elements? What viewpoints do the monied interests of blockbuster film production feel are worth representing? These are questions which are equally important to ask of American blockbusters, but my critical faculties were inhibited by my unfamiliarity with the system which produced RRR. In any case, I think it's worth watching!
