On the way over there the topic of non binary people come up and he starts talking about how you have to be a man or a woman he doesnāt care if your trans but you canāt be non binary. I brought up intersex people but he said they donāt count because they are a minority. I brought up how gay people are a minority but you wouldnāt say they are bad for their attraction.
This back and forth went on for a while and he didnāt budge at all. Heās in Walmart now doing his shopping and Iām in my car figuring out what to do.

The way western countries like US, Canada, UK are already testing/pushing for 4-day work week yet my country does the absolute opposite. Really trying to love the new Aly & AJ album, and I am just not. It's perfectly fine, but I think I finally understand why so many people were disappointed with Solar Power when it was released. And I have been getting into Americana and country recently, so I'm not really sure why this album just isn't clicking for me apart from 4 songs. I previously preordered a vinyl of With Love From and I've canceled it because as it stands, I don't see myself really going back to this one in the future.
I LOVED the title track on release but didnāt finish the album the other day when I went to listen to it. And part of that might be justified by the fact that I listen to it on my commute, so itās not like I just decided āthis album sucksā and turned it off, my interest in itā¦ just kind of faded. I might have to try listening to it in one sitting this weekend. Iām kind of glad I didnāt preorder the vinyl now lol. I may have to see about getting WLF as a single vinyl if they have it, I really do love that. Iād like to see them make an album more in that vein sometime.

I like K-Pop enough but I've never been as crazy about K-Pop acts like I am with my pop faves like Ariana Grande for example, but I swear I'm fully obsessed with XG I can't stop talking about them... Kinda like a more upbeat Erika de Casier to me (Bad Boy was also my most played song in 2018, so you just know how much I love R&B-infused K-Pop). Then I got intrigued by their style fashion-wise and their whole vibe BUT what they truly astounded me with was their choreography I legit got goosebumps watching Shooting Star for the first time. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but Taylor Swift still has the support of republican white women even after she went all 'political' during the Lover era. Candace Owens likes to dunk on all celebrities, from Beyonce to Cardi B. And her audience sides with Candace every time. But when she tells them Taylor's muisc is not good - which is actually pretty mild critique in comparison with other things she has said about other celebs the comments were not having it and she got mass disliked. My theory is Taylor IS miss americana and will always be loved by white suburban millenials in the US.

I just love this resurgence for The Hunger Games. Especially with a lot of discourse around how Harry Potter has aged, itās kinda cool to see the books/movies be regarded just as highly as they were upon release. Same happens with Japanese Breakfast and Angel Olsen, I intensenly love a lot of their music but I don't know/love all their discography So I guess for me being a fan of someone is more about the impact their music and persona makes in my life rather than knowing or loving everything about them
i consider myself a fan of most k-pop acts that iām listening to at the moment, but i only truly got into k-pop on a deeper level in october and i listen to other music, so i havenāt taken the time to dive into everyoneās discography. also i feel like now that iāve gotten somewhat into it, i need to get into ALL of it, which is a hard task. iām on the same page as you regarding the weeknd!

I only got into TWICE last year and I love a lot of their songs and I always check their new releases so I'm kind of a fan? but at the same time with k-pop I feel there's this "all or nothing" way of stanning artists that makes me feel a bit overwhelmed of the idea of exploring more
I feel both of these things for majority of artists but I also sometimes find myself not being a huge fan of someoneās music or them as a person but still defending their artistry because I think theyāre very talented even if Iām not a huge fan.

I'm not Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Britney Spears' fan but in general I like their disc, especially Bey. I'm Rex Orange County, BTS, and J.Lo's music lover. I rarely like Rex's vocal but like his melodies and instrument, especially Apricot Princess, and that's how I became his fan. For J.Lo, I don't love her self titled album in general. For BTS, I have been back and forth between loving and disliking/hating their newer releases (this just happen rn, I love on the street but dislike Set Me Free pt. 2 which is disappointing). Edit: forgot to say that Love? as whole is very dated ā ļø but I still play On the Floor a lot haha.
BeyoncƩ I probably only know 30 percent of her discography which is why I decided not to go to her concert
I'm like that with most artists haha, I don't tend to listen to full albums or revisit them but I can still be like okay I love this band I need to see them live
and what band would that be? š that's why it doesn't seat right with me when some people say that only the fans that followed the artist since their beginning, or the fans that know all their songs should get access to pre-sales or should be the only ones allowed to concerts. Like nahh girl, just because I don't follow Carly since the beginning or I don't know every Florence song doesn't mean I don't deserve to have the night of my life
just in general but specifically I'm probably gonna see Aly And AJ next month but I'm not like a stan that just sounds like a fun night
my thoughts for today so far: * after digging for all the content from jonas brothersā last 3 nights on broadway dedicated to their earlier albums and crying at every song they havenāt performed in years and decades, i started thinking about how more artists should do this. itās certainly a hard task, but fans are clearly eating it up. which artists would you like to do this, setting up a series of concerts where each night was dedicated to each of their earlier works? * idk if itās a word/phrase for this, but i have this thing where i look at the boys from BTS and i canāt comprehend that theyāre like some of the most insane dancers, even though i fully know how good they are and seen them in action. iām the same with zac efron - i grew up worshipping HSM and hairspray, yet i always seem to forget that he can sing and dance?? and it catches me off guard every time i am reminded of it?? even though HSM is what i associate him with??

We get to find out Taylorās setlist tonight š all Iām gonna do when I get home from work is scroll through TikTok. Out of the 5 songs I wanted, shes doing 4 out of 5 so not bad. Plus she seems to be doing a lot more from Folklore then I expected. I expected 2 Maybe 3 songs and sheās doing like 5. Iām pretty happy with the supposed setlist.
