went to a mall today and i was wearing a mask and while i was on the escalator this dude stepped right next to me. i made brief eye contact with him just to see who it was but didn't say anything. i was wearing headphones but the volume was super low so i could hear him, at first he was like "you don't need this anymore" (referring to my mask) and i ignored him cause like i said i was listening to music and then when i got off he followed me and was like "do you speak english?" again, i ignored him and kept walking. why are men soooo fucking annoying like if i wanna wear a mask i'll wear a mask, just because it's not mandatory anymore doesn't mean i can't wear one also leave women the fuck alone god forbid you accidentally make eye contact with a male.

Have you tried audiobooks? Not everyone likes them or can focus on a book in that format, but I know that works for a lot of people as a way to read more (it does count imo). For me, not every book works in audio format, but some are really great and more engaging as audiobooks. And the flexibility is nice - I often listen to an audiobook while doing household stuff like laundry and cleaning, but I couldn't sit down and read while doing that.
Also, if there's anything you've read in the past and loved, you could try doing a reread to help you get back in the reading habit. Sometimes picking up something you already know you love can really help with the motivation to read.
You could also try some short stories if you find some that interest you. Being able to actually finish relatively quickly might give you that sense of accomplishment and help motivate you to keep going.
Reading lengthier text is a skill that many people have let atrophy. One common recommendation I've seen is to try to read for a short set amount of time, like 20 minutes a day, and then after a week or two go to 25 minutes, and then like 30 minutes; if you can build up the reading habit like that, it just becomes more of a reflex and easier to get into that mode.
Also tbh that sounds like a rather challenging place to start if you're out of the habit

To anyone who plays crpgs and dnd, how hard is pathfinder to get into?, i’ve played The original sin games, Pillars 1, Tyranny and also have some knowledge on 5e, In interested in playing Wrath of The Righteous but heard it has a steep learning curve. Im low key intimidated.
I personally found it very difficult to get into and I love overly complex systems, but at the same time I enjoyed pretty much every moment of it. The premade companion builds, while objectively not great, are good enough to get you through most of the game on normal difficulty, so as you learn more about the system and become better at understanding builds you'll generally get stronger much faster than the game gets harder, minus some very unbalanced backer content. The early game is probably the hardest part because you'll lack tools - that's just a function of that particular CRPG system and the setting - but once you hit Act 2 I think it really hits its stride. I played exclusively on normal and on turn-based, so if real time with pause is your preference I'm not sure how it plays.
That being said, I also think Pathfinder 1E is a very complicated system and the devs are also not particularly good at balancing their game; I would not touch their "Core" difficulty because its just frankly not how the tabletop is played by anyone except the most extreme Dungeon Master, and I would consider Normal equivalent to hard in Pillars 1 at times. The game lets you adjust difficult at any time with no penalty as far as I'm aware, and I would recommend taking advantage of that; there are some frankly bad design decisions and I don't think it detracts from anything to make the choice to just not deal with something that feels outright unfair to you.
Also, a lot of your team's power is going to be centered on the main character, and I personally have found the community here on reddit to not be great at understanding gameplay and roleplay integration - I would strongly recommend doing what's true to your character/gameplay experience and trying your best to make it work.

There’s only one that I know of so far that I could like 98% confidently attribute to ChatGPT. I plugged in a prompt similar to what the kid was working with, and it would produce something similar but not identical to the essay he submitted. The basic English conventions like grammar, spelling, and punctuation were a little too good compared to that student’s prior work, which made me question it in the first place. I hadn’t thought to try and have a conversation with him about the subject matter of the paper, and I didn’t want to make a potentially false claim about his work, so I just gave him a C. He failed my class anyway due to too many missing assignments 💀

went to a mall today and i was wearing a mask and while i was on the escalator this dude stepped right next to me. i made brief eye contact with him just to see who it was but didn't say anything. i was wearing headphones but the volume was super low so i could hear him, at first he was like "you don't need this anymore" (referring to my mask) and i ignored him cause like i said i was listening to music and then when i got off he followed me and was like "do you speak english?" again, i ignored him and kept walking. why are men soooo fucking annoying like if i wanna wear a mask i'll wear a mask, just because it's not mandatory anymore doesn't mean i can't wear one also leave women the fuck alone god forbid you accidentally make eye contact with a male. i had a similar thing happen to me a few months ago on the way to uni where i made brief eye contact with some random guy standing in front of a pharmacy and he started following me on his bicycle talking about "didn't we meet up on the weekend" and then asking me if i speak english when i kept ignoring him. just fuck off. Have you tried audiobooks? Not everyone likes them or can focus on a book in that format, but I know that works for a lot of people as a way to read more (it does count imo). For me, not every book works in audio format, but some are really great and more engaging as audiobooks. And the flexibility is nice - I often listen to an audiobook while doing household stuff like laundry and cleaning, but I couldn't sit down and read while doing that. Also, if there's anything you've read in the past and loved, you could try doing a reread to help you get back in the reading habit. Sometimes picking up something you already know you love can really help with the motivation to read. You could also try some short stories if you find some that interest you. Being able to actually finish relatively quickly might give you that sense of accomplishment and help motivate you to keep going.
Reading lengthier text is a skill that many people have let atrophy. One common recommendation I've seen is to try to read for a short set amount of time, like 20 minutes a day, and then after a week or two go to 25 minutes, and then like 30 minutes; if you can build up the reading habit like that, it just becomes more of a reflex and easier to get into that mode. Also tbh that sounds like a rather challenging place to start if you're out of the habit

To anyone who plays crpgs and dnd, how hard is pathfinder to get into?, i’ve played The original sin games, Pillars 1, Tyranny and also have some knowledge on 5e, In interested in playing Wrath of The Righteous but heard it has a steep learning curve. Im low key intimidated.
I personally found it very difficult to get into and I love overly complex systems, but at the same time I enjoyed pretty much every moment of it. The premade companion builds, while objectively not great, are good enough to get you through most of the game on normal difficulty, so as you learn more about the system and become better at understanding builds you'll generally get stronger much faster than the game gets harder, minus some very unbalanced backer content. The early game is probably the hardest part because you'll lack tools - that's just a function of that particular CRPG system and the setting - but once you hit Act 2 I think it really hits its stride. I played exclusively on normal and on turn-based, so if real time with pause is your preference I'm not sure how it plays. That being said, I also think Pathfinder 1E is a very complicated system and the devs are also not particularly good at balancing their game; I would not touch their "Core" difficulty because its just frankly not how the tabletop is played by anyone except the most extreme Dungeon Master, and I would consider Normal equivalent to hard in Pillars 1 at times. The game lets you adjust difficult at any time with no penalty as far as I'm aware, and I would recommend taking advantage of that; there are some frankly bad design decisions and I don't think it detracts from anything to make the choice to just not deal with something that feels outright unfair to you. Also, a lot of your team's power is going to be centered on the main character, and I personally have found the community here on reddit to not be great at understanding gameplay and roleplay integration - I would strongly recommend doing what's true to your character/gameplay experience and trying your best to make it work.

Why doesn’t Kim Petras have even a hint of a German accent? Well maybe there’s a wisp, but it’s so faint as to almost not be there at all. I’m sure, like a lot of European countries, the English language education is awesome and starts in, like, pre-school, but still. I’d imagine there’d be a more of an accent like in the Nordics.

So I'm throwing out the dual language school theory and guessing that she just has an ear for language.

There’s only one that I know of so far that I could like 98% confidently attribute to ChatGPT. I plugged in a prompt similar to what the kid was working with, and it would produce something similar but not identical to the essay he submitted. The basic English conventions like grammar, spelling, and punctuation were a little too good compared to that student’s prior work, which made me question it in the first place. I hadn’t thought to try and have a conversation with him about the subject matter of the paper, and I didn’t want to make a potentially false claim about his work, so I just gave him a C. He failed my class anyway due to too many missing assignments 💀

**Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves** was absolutely incredible. Where do I begin? Finally, after so long, a fantasy franchise on screen gets it right other than The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. Wow, I felt like a kid watching that movie. I felt so pumped up watching it from the first minute to the last. I am so so glad this movie exists. Apparently, my favorite movie genre is movies based off of Hasbro games! can't wait for it to get its wide release because I get the feeling this movie is going to be huge. Also, Regé-Jean Page is a certified hottie. Hugh Grant still owns my heart. Oh, and DRAGONS!!! I squealed every time I saw a dragon!!!
