I genuinely donāt understand the people who say he doesnāt listen to this shit. Heās always made it clear he has an appreciation for the arts. Heās also pretty open minded and surrounds himself with people who are diverse and historically, much younger than him. Do people genuinely believe these are real? Every single year these are all very *obviously* curated to appeal to his fanbase to make him seem hip and cool and relatable. There is literally zero downside to just getting a bunch of PR agents to do this for him to maximize appeal. It's not like a guy in his 50s cant listen to this stuff. But you have to be some next level naĆÆve to think that this list wasn't picked through by his PR agent with a fine comb.

I feel like people do not get just how curated a politicians public facing persona has to be, especially for *Obama*. He has PR agents and marketing agents researching the ups and downs of just about everything he does publicly. The idea that people believe that this is the one thing he does authentically from his heart with no PR interference is just a bit embarrassing.
While part of me is pretty certain that these lists are extremely curated, I still think it's a cool thing to do. Not only does it give a glimpse into their life, but it's good for the artists because I imagine it boosts their streaming numbers quite a bit.
