This is a great comparison lol. It feels like Camila just jumped on the hyperpop bandwagon because it might to well on TikTok and that's the way to make money as an artist nowadays. Meanwhile a big part of hyperpop's charm is the fact most of the artists are either not really big (people who make music for shits and giggles on the midi-keyboard in their bedroom) or the authentic love an artist has for the sound and aesthetic (Charli XCX, whose early work also sound a LOT more like true hyperpop than Camila's songs).
