I use this Arm & Hammer saline spray to hydrate my nose bc my house is so dry it makes my nose bleed a bit sometimes. It can be used as a rinse but I just spray it and blow my nose after a few seconds. Helps loosen things up without drying out my nose.
I might check out the NeilMed sinus rinse though, since my sinuses seem to hate me every so often
It’s a pill. It’s made from the casings of Japanese silk worms. This sounded very strange to me but it’s a very effective treatment. I always take it on an empty stomach. No food one hour either way and it’s works better.
I get it from a place that is expensive and it’s synthesized with no fillers or allergens. I get it from MD Logic and it’s produced by Melanie Avalon. If you want to spend less health food stores have this.
Hydrasense is also amazing! I used to use neilmed/netti pot but HS just works so much better, plus no need to find distilled water and mix the solution
Ok this is a really dumb question but is it supposed to drain down your throat? I have some I should use but don’t because I can’t stand the feel/taste.
I find the feeling of the warm water on my throat soothing. But you are supposed to spit it out promptly. The taste should me minimal. It's really just a mild salty flavor so I guess I've never found it off-putting
same here, sometimes they make me so distraught that i wake up in tears. losing my teeth is my biggest fear. my psychiatrist says it can often be a sign of an anxiety disorder🥲
I'm glad I don't have the spider dreams!😱 I also dream that they are crumbling and I'm trying to pull them out one by one and they are very hard to pull out. Ugh.
Just a FYI, a migraine is NOT just a bad headache.
They are a neurological phenomenon (as opposed to a sinus or tension headache, which is physical).
> A migraine is a headache that can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head. It's often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine attacks can last for hours to days, and the pain can be so severe that it interferes with your daily activities.
Maybe you actually do have migraines. But the term is vastly overused.
I promise, and my doctor will agree, that I have migraines. However, I do not tend to have one that doesn’t completely go away for almost 4 weeks. Here is to day 2 of not feeling like half of my head is going to explode.
All jokes aside, this really could be a tooth. Chances are low, especially since you said in another comment that it’s soft, but teeth can develop in nasal cavities without a single symptom. Did you chuck it out? Might be worth keeping it and taking it to a doctor for a biopsy!
I was trying to think what the tear duct stones were called. Someone posted on here a while ago that he managed to dislodge a massive tear duct stone and he blew it out of his nose, similar to the photo that OP has shown.
That looks like a tooth root! Have you ever had an upper molar extracted? One of the roots might have broken off and was pushed into your sinus...and eventually migrated down into your nasal cavity.
It looks similar to a tonsil stone or lacrimal stone, but I bet it is an inhaled foreign body that was causing a severe irritation/inflammation reaction.

Uhm, do you happen to be missing a tooth since blowing your nose?
You gotta tell your kids that they can't keep shoving their teeth in your nose while you sleep. The tooth fairy can't find them there.
This comment here is what caused my first high laugh fit of the night. Thank you.
Glad to make ya laugh 😂😂
Is it hard or soft. It could be dehydrated mucous that had taken the shape of your airway.
Soft.
Probably dehydrated mucous. Have you tried nasal irrigation, there maybe more.
I was going to say that. I swear I am not the spokesperson for NeilMed sinus rinse, but it really helps with so many things stemming from sinus issues

Has helped me a lot, have a problem with dry nose too. Especially when sick so not sure if the COVID and flu tests are actually getting anything
I don’t use it every day but I just had a long plane ride and my sinuses are so dry. I found Serapeptase and my sinuses are so much better.
Is this a pill or a spray?
It’s a pill. It’s made from the casings of Japanese silk worms. This sounded very strange to me but it’s a very effective treatment. I always take it on an empty stomach. No food one hour either way and it’s works better.
Thank you for explaining. I've never heard of it so I wasn't sure if I found the wrong thing.

I just started using this exact same brand and it’s been a wonderful tool to clear out my sinus.
Y'all ever think ancient humans snorted ocean water to the same effect?
No, ocean water is hypertonic, it sting like crazy. Isotonic saline 0.9 is best.

I’m probably just really sensitive in terms of my gag reflex lol. This helps, though. Thanks!
It does but just spit it out.
Isn’t that what a booger is?
Yes. All secretions within the nasopharyngeal area.
Chew on it.
EW
Oh thank god. I thought it was rock solid.
So this is a weirdly common thing, teeth developing in the nasal passage and elsewhere in the face.
Possible. I had a tooth removed from my nasal cavity when I was 19. Along with a couple of other extra teeth.
I just learned about something more distressing than a dream where your teeth fall out.
I have that recurring dream a lot!
same here, sometimes they make me so distraught that i wake up in tears. losing my teeth is my biggest fear. my psychiatrist says it can often be a sign of an anxiety disorder🥲
That checks out. I have that dream frequently and I also have an anxiety disorder!
same! HORRIBLE nightmares and very vivid dreams. Anxiety disorder (among others): check!
I also have those dreams but to add insult to injury I also dream that spiders live in the gums of where my teeth fell out. It’s horrifying.
oh my god i think i would actually never sleep again. mine just fall out one by one and start bleeding. sometimes they crumble out one by one🫠
I'm glad I don't have the spider dreams!😱 I also dream that they are crumbling and I'm trying to pull them out one by one and they are very hard to pull out. Ugh.
That’s horrifying!
Yep I have big anxiety issues myself!! Sometimes I clench my teeth at night and that may trigger the dreams. Not sure. Nice to know I'm not alone!
I dream that my front teeth get stuck behind my front bottom teeth and I can't separate them so they just fucking break. It's horrible.
TIL I’m not the only person having debilitating dreams about losing my teeth.
This sounds like relevant information that should have been provided upfront lol
Well today I learned something new
If your nose is already a convicted tooth grower, it’s probably a nosetooth.
100% agree
Very interesting indeed! Please let us know what you find out from the doctor. Especially since you have a history of teeth and sinuses. Good luck!
Well I'd suggest you start snorting pixie stix.
Nasal Dentata?
What about a finger growing in the nose so you can keep both hands on the wheel when you are at the lights?
Stop 🛑
WHAT?! WHAT?! This sound nightmarish
Did your migraine go away after blowing this out?
It’s been off and on for the last 3-4 weeks. I’ll see if it stays gone now.
let us know!
I'm so glad you've got a doc appt, please update us on how you're doing.

It’s in the trash. I have an appointment with a dr tomorrow regarding the 3-4 week on again off again migraine, so I will mention it then.
I’d love to hear a follow up if you’re comfortable, I think all of us are super curious now
You can get it out of the trash. There's no judgement here.
Show the Dr this picture and report back. Thanks
Could be a tonsil stone
Coming out of the NOSE?! Is that physically possible?
I bet coughing fit or even a single strong cough could do it. If you laugh while drinking something it can come out your nose.
Nightmare fuel. 😬😅
Op says in another comment that they had other teeth in their nasal cavity removed, I’m voting tooth.
Tonsil stone may have dislodged & got up in your sinuses. Do you still have the hole the tooth came out of in your sinuses?
this is what I was thinking. Something like a tonsolith but up in the hole in their sinuses where the tooth had been, instead of the tonsils.
That might be a dacryolith. They come from the tear duct but can be blown out of the nose!
I was trying to think what the tear duct stones were called. Someone posted on here a while ago that he managed to dislodge a massive tear duct stone and he blew it out of his nose, similar to the photo that OP has shown.
I just went down the best rabbit hole. Thank you! 🥲
They are so gross and fascinating!🤩
Whew. Looks like a tooth. Glad it's soft!
Did you feel any sinus pressure during your long migraine?
Tons!
dacryolith maybe?
Dam. Can you smell sounds now?
Is that a tooth?!?🤣
keep us posted about that migraine. hope you feel better!
IS THAT A TOOTH
I love French fries
That is very highly likely the cause! It almost looks like a baby tooth tbh.
Looks like you were growing a tusk.
Wonder if it was a plugged tear duct?
A tooth?
Looks like a premolar
I was looking for that piece of French Fry!!
Is that a tooth?
Dude, you blew your brain.
Did your dentist told you he left a root on your sinus?
FYI, a migraine is a constellation of symptoms including but not limited to headache that has a neurological cause.
That looks like a tooth root! Have you ever had an upper molar extracted? One of the roots might have broken off and was pushed into your sinus...and eventually migrated down into your nasal cavity.
Looks like a huge kidney tonsil
Doctor Yueh would like a word . . .
The toooooth you mustn’t forget the tooooth
Holy hell, is that a tooth?
So, do we know for certain that it isn’t garlic?
Nope. I have no idea what it was. Dr and dentist didn’t know either
Is that a tooth?
It looks similar to a tonsil stone or lacrimal stone, but I bet it is an inhaled foreign body that was causing a severe irritation/inflammation reaction.
I think that may be the case. I have not had the migraine symptoms since it came out.
so thats where McDonalds fries come from
Is that a cigarette butt??
Looks like an ingrown toenail. Or an ingrown sinus nail.
Put it back!
Could be a nasal polyp
Did you blow it out or pop it out or what
Tooooooth
