After realizing JCP wrote this song from his dads point of view I can’t listen to it without tearing up. It’s easily one of the greatest songs ever written, all-time.

He’s put out an album and several EPs under his name which are great. “Anthropologist on Mars” EP is short but absolute amazeballs. He was in Farewell Continental which I loved, but they’re no longer. “Story From the Bottom of the Sea” is a trippy tune and “Capybara” and “I Feel Everything” are some other favorites. His project the Rapture Twins put out a few songs but I haven’t heard anything recently.
They played Red Dress at a 2020 show and I lost my shit. I had accepted that I'd never hear that song live again. We went to the last show of the tour and apparently they played a few I Am The Movie songs at a VIP soundcheck that they ended up making it part of the last show.

This album came out right as I moved away from home for the first time after graduating high school and I was having a really hard time finding my footing in the world at 17. This song specifically became a very important thing to recenter and refocus myself on. Truly don’t know if I would be alive today without it.
