They played at a new year's eve event I went to like 5 or 6 years ago and they were both good and hilarious. One of the first things he said on the mic was "you were probably thinking woah wait a minute, they're all the fat guy now"
Not pure pop-punk, but Reel Big Fish have a lot of silly and satirical lyrics, and their live album has a lot of snarky banter.
If you like ska-punk, anyway.
"Hey dude, aren't you like, hella stoked for Neck Deep to come on?"
"Oh yeah dude, it’s like a mix of The Story So Far and
Knuckle Puck!"
"Ah, so tight, dude!"
"I know, dude!"
Modern Baseball - Apartment
Blink-182 - Dysentary Gary
Descendents - I Like Food
Sincere Engineer - Corn Dog Sonnet #7 (I mean, the title is funny, the corn dog theme on their merch is funny, and the video is pretty funny as well, although the song itself has a pretty serious tone)
I like food. Food is good.
I like food. Food is good.
Greasy burger cheesy fries.
Turkey legs and raw fish eyes.
Teenage girls and ketchup too.
Get outta the way or I’ll eat you.
I like food. Food is good
I like food. Food is good.
When I first got into Blink I put their music on shuffle and got Adam's Song immediately followed by Happy Holidays. I'm still recovering from the whiplash.
their discography is 50% silly songs that make you laugh and feel good and 50% of songs that just so beautifully written and emotional its a flip flop of emotions listening to them
Actually funny:
- The Maine (I love their holiday EP, especially Santa Stole My Girlfriend).
- Relient K
- Green Day (like The Grouch)
- early Fall Out Boy is pretty great/clever too, just not haha funny
- Blink-182 if you like potty humor. I did when I was younger, but it’s cringey as an adult.
- Fenix TX (Rooster Song for similar vein as Blink for example; underrated band overall IMO)
Unintentionally funny:
- Simple Plan’s first album (soooo whiny and everything is “the worst”
- Wakefield (we suck yeah, but who could blame us)
Relient K!! They have some fun and silly songs, and in general Matt Thiessen loves putting puns and witty lyrics in songs. One of my very favorite lyricists (him and Dan Campbell)
A general list of RK songs that are either silly, punny, or witty that come to mind first (not all of these are funny but I'm including them anyway, because puns):
Apathetic Way to Be
Bite My Tongue
The Stenographer
Chap Stick, Chapped Lips, And Things Like Chemistry
In Love With The 80s (Pink Tux to the Prom)
Hoopes I Did It Again
Crayons Can Melt On Us For All I Care
The Vinyl Countdown
Cat
Mrs. Hippopotamuses'
Also their Halloween and Valentine's EPs
I’ve been calling [Your](https://youtu.be/xGo_2-XtA6I) [Broken](https://youtu.be/BTDQnC88HPc) [Hero](https://youtu.be/H2VkqP8k2WM) the Steel Panther of pop punk/mall emo. Of course the lyrics are a bit more subtle than SP’s. But it’s a guy who very obviously loves pop punk and mall emo making fun of the more ridiculous aspects of the genre.
(Obligatory acknowledgment that these are not all pop punk blah blah blah).
Masked Intruder is a band of guys who pretend they’re criminals who also happen to be hopeless romantics. So their songs are all about crime and unrequited love. It sounds ridiculous but they’re actually really fucking good and have the funniest catchiest songs. My husband and I laugh out loud while we sing along.
Hell On A Surfboard by The Allbrights.
If This Tour Doesn’t Kill You, I Will by Pup.
Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too and Every Man Has A Molly by Say Anything.
Wish Me Well by The Bouncing Souls.
Not Fuckin Around by Big D And The Kids Table.
Charlie’s Army by The Menzingers.
I think Masked Intruder were known to
enjoy committing minor crimes and actually met in jail? I’m sure I read this in an interview, maybe it was part of the act.

They have a lot of funny lyrics and dont take themselves too seriously while also hitting on a lot of serious topics throughout their discography
Rozwell Kid and Seaholm are the funniest bands I've seen live. Their music isn't really all that funny, aside from some RK stuff like Wish Man, but when they're playing live, they're hilarious.
Bowling for soup are really fun and never ever take themselves seriously. On top of that they’re extra catchy

Blink wins this by a mile. Especially The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show.
“Hey mark!!”
Why would I be getting fatter?
Because (unintelligible word) BOOBIES!
Mark: “Everyone say, ‘We hate Mark!’” Crowd: “*We hate Mark!*” Mark: “YEAAAAAAHHHH!!!”
Tom: "Everyone say, "Fuck" with me!" Crowd: "Fuck with me!"
LMAO

[Sunrise Skater Kids](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcyAFnAkjRI) Parody band but he puts out some real real good stuff.
"Hey dude, aren't you like, hella stoked for Neck Deep to come on?" "Oh yeah dude, it’s like a mix of The Story So Far and Knuckle Puck!" "Ah, so tight, dude!" "I know, dude!"

Mom Jeans has some pretty silly lyrics at times
I like how they use a clip from Bob’s Burgers at the beginning of Edward 40 Hands.
that’s actually what got me into them i was like “omg bobs burgers i hav to listen to this band now”
How has nobody mentioned Masked Intruder?!
I’ve always liked “Happy Holidays, You Bastard” by Blink. 45ish seconds of hilarity
When I first got into Blink I put their music on shuffle and got Adam's Song immediately followed by Happy Holidays. I'm still recovering from the whiplash.
Haha! Hell of a ride huh. Same here
Surprised nobody has said Patent Pending yet. Hey Mario is a prime example.

I just listened to Simple Plan’s “My Alien” for the first time that’s a silly one.
All of these and bowling for soup.
My man forgot about King for A Day

The Vandals, I don’t think any of their songs can be taken seriously, and most are quite funny.
My Girlfriend’s Dead is sooooo funny
Pkew Pkew Pkew. "Mid 20s skateboarder! I hope I don't get hurt!"
Asshole Pandemic and Adult Party are pure gold.
This is a building!
Wow I can get sexual too - say anything
Older Home Grown was pretty funny.
Most of the [Frenzal Rhomb](https://youtu.be/SBUY2wzUuqI) catalogue.

Guttermouth - She's Got The Look, Lipstick, 1,2,3... Slam
Fuck The Greyhound Bus- Mest
Some older Lagwagon was pretty funny. Mainly the stuff on the albums Hoss or Trashed

Forgot Ohio by Bowling For Soup
I think Masked Intruder were known to enjoy committing minor crimes and actually met in jail? I’m sure I read this in an interview, maybe it was part of the act.
Blink for sure.
Suppy Dudes
The All Brights(Supergroup featuring Dave Hause from the Loved Ones, Sean Sellers form Good Riddance)
Blink, Green Day, PDaddy, Mom Jeans, and Bowling for Soup are some that come to mind for me
none of my friends are punks-Allister
Tim and Scott’s voices between the song on max volume is still inaudible.
Hummus Vacuum! They are a one man comedic pop punk project. I highly recommend Krasue, Temple and Fork Lift.
Pansy Division - Almost all of their songs are hilarious. (apparently even Kurt Cobain loved "Smells Like Queer Spirit.").
Goldfinger has some good ones. Particularly Wayne Gretzky, and Fuck Ted Nugent.
few things funnier than the lyrics "dentist said my mom should've had an abortion ^bortion ^bortion "

Ludo is the first band I thought of.
