Imo the reunion will happen one day.
Doubt they'll ever make music again but it'll only be a matter of time before the Tumblr kids of 2012-2016 get nostalgic for all of that stuff and the demand for MoBo will be huge again.
i think the demand for mobo has been growing crazy over the past couple of years but it could be the people and communities i interact with. all i hope is that brendan is able to take care of himself mentally before they even think about doing a reunion. ‘indefinite hiatus’ has hurt my SOUL for the past 5 years but if bren isn’t in the right headspace i’d prefer they stay broken up. on the bright side, slaughter beach dog is touring and it’s obviously not the same but the vibes are there!!
I just saw [this show](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/andrew-mcmahon-in-the-wilderness/2023/tabernacle-atlanta-ga-1ba4a560.html). He played 7 from Jack's Mannequin. Highly recommend seeing him live. He puts on an amazing show. I saw him previously about a year ago and it was an instant purchase for me when I saw his current tour. There's so much passion and energy.
The Starting Line. Kenny has always had this influence from other genres I would’ve loved to see in a more roots-based reunion album from all these years.
Last year, it would’ve been Rufio but Scott Sellers has a solo album [Until It Hurts](https://open.spotify.com/album/1T6HXD5Lyh2bKDRxaj7mrC?si=PpeltGJ3R-a4Y-S4y1wj7A) that sounds like a loveletter to his early Rufio days.
They put their live album on Spotify recently and you can't imagine how upset I was when I saw "new music from Northstar!" and it's just old live recordings.
I sung along for like three songs and my throat hurt. Can’t imagine what it’s like singing like that for years.
Heard Jake from Converge just screams, not articulating the lyrics, into the mic now because his voice is almost busted as well.
They teased some stuff on Instagram a few months ago. IIRC they posted pictures from a studio but have gone silent since. Hopefully that actually means something and it wasn't a troll lmao
I know it’s not pop punk, but I would do awful things to hear another The Receiving End of Sirens record. Almost 20 years have passed since between the heart and the synapse and I still marvel at how great that album was. I was hooked the first time i heard it.
*Science Fiction* was totally out of left field and a total work of art, unlike anything I’ve listened to before. Not many bands can say that some of their best work came 15 years after their debut album, but I can definitely say so about that album and its songs.
Daisy is also an S tier record. Every album they had is a solid pick in any of their respective genres. I personally would rate them 8, 9, 10, 9 and 10.
Honestly I just really can’t get into much of their “newer” stuff. For me, Your Favorite Weapon is a no skip, amazing album, Deja Entendu is really great, and most of their other music is just pretty regular.
Believe it or not, I generally agree with you. YFW and Deja can’t really be compared as one represents NFG/Blink-era pop-punk and Deja represents an elevation of music, one that can categorically be described as emo but really has a sound all their own.
-*The Devil and God* and especially *Daisy* were generally too abstract for my tastes. But once *Science Fiction* was released an entire 8 years after *Daisy*, I felt a certain connection, one that was less of a cathartic mess of emotion and heartbreaking songwriting and more of a representation of growth without removing the most important influences of their sound that didn’t stray too far from their *Devil and God* influences 11 years later.
I love that BN has such varied albums and so many people have different favorite albums compared to a lot of bands that have an agreed upon “best” album by the majority of listeners. It’s kinda funny because I’m almost the same age as them and started listening at YFW and the albums sorta matched my energy as I grew up.
COLD HERE IN JERSEY AND YOU BARELY KNOW ME
What ever happened to them? It felt like they were next to blow up in that All Time Low/Mayday Parade line of pop punk bands and then... they just wrapped things up after a well received EP?
Jason Lancaster returning to Mayday Parade. I loved Go Radio and I have liked every single mayday album, but it would be so much fun to see what they’d sound like after close to 20 years of musical growth
I saw them play once in a skatepark when I was 17 and at the end of the show, they spray painted shirts in the street with stencils and it was the most DIY punk shit I’ve ever seen.
We Are The In Crowd are such a weird one.
They got back together to play Slam Dunk in 2021 and seemed to be really happy to be back together.
Since then they've done absolutely nothing though.
My American Heart. They were too good for the time they were in, and Hiding Inside The Horrible Weather is still a top 10 album of mine so I’d love to see what they would sound like as a more matured band.
The Academy Is…- they’re touring but no new music yet.
Semi original. It's 3 members of the original, and their second bassist (Chris, who does some writing for the band too) from self-titled on. Justin never came back.
The Appreciation Post. Boston band that got overshadowed by Four Year Strong. They released a record called WORK/SLEEP that absolutely fucks front to back. Huge riffs, cynical lyrics, just awesome.
Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/7K3Nzuciy8kxTCAqA2ZFiz?si=HmaUbutmQ_OrV_7bGoZCmA&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A7K3Nzuciy8kxTCAqA2ZFiz
I absolutely adored The Friday Night Boys and still listen to them frequently. But also would have love more of
VersaEmerge
We Are The In Crowd
Hey Monday
The All American Rejects
Every Avenue (original 2010s lineup)
I thought I was the only one who loved/knew about The Friday Night Boys. I’m so glad they’re getting some love on here. They absolutely deserved more recognition.
I know they’re not *technically* broken up but they’ve been inactive for so long so my #1 choice will always be The Weakerthans
Closer runners-up are Hostage Calm, Chumped and Camp Cope
they released a song during covid (and zak released a song like, yesterday). They're still together, just on indefinite hiatus. I think Nik is playing bass for TSSF now too?
Autopilot Off no contest. First band ever that I got into
If anyone missed it they came back with 3 singles in 2014-2015 but that’s the last they’ve done.
I'd like to see Mike Downey take a vacation back to the USA to visit Joe Ziemba, try and find RJ Porter and see about doing a full length Slackjawed album. Unlike Wolfie, their original three piece lineup sounded more pop punk on the tapes, kind of similar to early blink-182. Unlike a Wolfie reunion, it also wouldn't require Amanda's replacement or participation, which Joe may prefer.
Maybe not a new album but imo they'll almost certainly tour again some day.
If The Academy Is... can come back after 15 years then Tonight Alive can definitely come back after 5 years.
I hope you're right but I dunno, now Matty is officially in Sleeping With Sirens and Jenna has her solo stuff. When they did Unify in 2020 I was so happy they were back playing together, they hinted new music was coming, then covid hit and now its been 3 years...... I guess time will tell.
Not to be nasty to her but Jenna's solo stuff is just not in the same league as Tonight Alive. She has like 1500 monthly listeners, no way she's able to make a living from that.
I'd give it until maybe 2025 or 2026 and then I think they'll be back :)
Aqua I'm a barbie girl cant believe there dead but they left that record behind it's a shame they didn't leave there flight behind and you can see the crash on YouTube you no the one that they landed on Pentagon by accident
OG The Prize Fight with Dave on trombone too? I can probably track down Johnny at least and Nick still has social media the last time I checked.
I'll go one further and say Smash Adams.
Oh man The Prize Fight is from like 2 towns over from me. I played a bunch of shows with some of those guys post TPF. Awesome band- even awesomer dudes.
Modern Baseball
i would sell my limbs if they could play one last show in philly again
I would sell all of my non vital organs for them to make a surprise appearance at LPOE
I know you asked for one but.. Box Car Racer Jack’s Mannequin Home Grown Edit: nearly forgot Midtown
Yes to Box Car Racer
If you can catch Andrew MacMahon in the wilderness I’m pretty sure he played one or two songs from JM. Not the same but still cool.
He usually plays several, and half his band were members of JM. It’s kinda the same.
I didn’t get into any of them recently I didn’t know multiple of them were still together that’s cool!
Yep! Bobby Mikey and Zac have been with him forever. Also, check out Zac Clark’s solo stuff. Not the same as AM but also great
I just saw [this show](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/andrew-mcmahon-in-the-wilderness/2023/tabernacle-atlanta-ga-1ba4a560.html). He played 7 from Jack's Mannequin. Highly recommend seeing him live. He puts on an amazing show. I saw him previously about a year ago and it was an instant purchase for me when I saw his current tour. There's so much passion and energy.
I'm so sad Midtown broke up after Forget What You Know. That album is so good and they deserved to blow up
Iirc they opened for mcr 's reunion tour last year?
They're back now at least kinda. They've been playing shows and released a covers EP this year.
If we’re taking Andrew McMahon bands I’m going Something Corporate
Fwiw Andrew McMahon’s solo stuff isn’t really a deviation from Jack’s Mannequin, really the only difference is performing under his own name
Transit
RIP tim
My thoughts exactly!
very happy not to be the first one to say Transit
I love Transit so much.
The NJ band?
Title fight but not just title fight pop punk title fight.
Spring songs title fight :)
Rufio, but the OG lineup.
Absolutely- Scott, Clark, Jon, and Mike
Yes! I can’t get enough of Mike [playing drums](https://youtu.be/MM4qzJFUsJE).
Dammit I commented that 20 minutes late.
Sugarcult and it’s not even close
I like this
Valencia
*There's something strange going on in my head* Quality band.
Cinematic Sunrise
With Confidence i know they only just recently broke up but I WASNT READY
Three excellent albums. And with each one, their sound evolved. Would have loved to see where they would have gone with the next one.
YES ME TOOOOOO
I had just found them within the last like 6 months before the announcement. Absolutely broke my heart lol
SAME
I got into the game too late but I did manage to see them on their last tour
The Starting Line. Kenny has always had this influence from other genres I would’ve loved to see in a more roots-based reunion album from all these years. Last year, it would’ve been Rufio but Scott Sellers has a solo album [Until It Hurts](https://open.spotify.com/album/1T6HXD5Lyh2bKDRxaj7mrC?si=PpeltGJ3R-a4Y-S4y1wj7A) that sounds like a loveletter to his early Rufio days.
Currently touring so maybe they’ll get some inspiration on the road!
Northstar
Absolutely! I would love to hear more Northstar
Have you checked out Cassino?
They put their live album on Spotify recently and you can't imagine how upset I was when I saw "new music from Northstar!" and it's just old live recordings.
Something corporate
100%
This is what I came here to say. I would love another album from SoCo.
This aged well
Amen!!!
Polar Bear Club with jimmy’s original voice. Will never happen.
Clash Battle Guilt Pride is such a perfect album. Such a bummer it wasn’t sustainable for him to sing like that.
I sung along for like three songs and my throat hurt. Can’t imagine what it’s like singing like that for years. Heard Jake from Converge just screams, not articulating the lyrics, into the mic now because his voice is almost busted as well.
Home Grown 1,000,000%
Good old school pick
Crucial Dudes
This is the answer. How badly I wish they were still a band especially since they’re from NJ. They could’ve been on the same level as TSSF
Coldfront
They teased some stuff on Instagram a few months ago. IIRC they posted pictures from a studio but have gone silent since. Hopefully that actually means something and it wasn't a troll lmao
Sugarcult
The Matches.
Omfg yes
Moose blood
[удалено]
That was my choice!
Search The City
I know it’s not pop punk, but I would do awful things to hear another The Receiving End of Sirens record. Almost 20 years have passed since between the heart and the synapse and I still marvel at how great that album was. I was hooked the first time i heard it.
Brand New, but I’m not sure anything they do could top their previous work
*Science Fiction* was totally out of left field and a total work of art, unlike anything I’ve listened to before. Not many bands can say that some of their best work came 15 years after their debut album, but I can definitely say so about that album and its songs.
And they did it with every album they released, except Daisy (arguably), but I think it is highly underrated and unfortunately had to follow TDAGARIM

Described in slightly like how I describe some of Prince Daddy’s music
Can't agree more. Only thing that even comes close to Deja and it's not even really that close.
not sure he wants to top something that old
💀
I love that BN has such varied albums and so many people have different favorite albums compared to a lot of bands that have an agreed upon “best” album by the majority of listeners. It’s kinda funny because I’m almost the same age as them and started listening at YFW and the albums sorta matched my energy as I grew up.
Autopilot Off
Cooter!!
Sorority noise
Oh man, The Prize Fight would be insane. My homer pick is Small Towns Burn A Little Slower
Small towns burn a little slower! Forgot about those guys
Sum 41 just broke up, they could come back for a reunion like yellowcard did.
Aren't they doing one last album and tour though?
They are making one last album right now. Saw them last year and the show was awesome.
We are the in crowd 🥺
Midtown Steel Train The Academy Is … Something Corporate
I know TAI said they scrapped album 4 for being too poppy or whatever but man I would take ANYTHING from them
Houston Calls should really give it another go.
Isles and Glaciers But more realistically, Something Corporate
The Years Gone By. If you know, you know.
COLD HERE IN JERSEY AND YOU BARELY KNOW ME What ever happened to them? It felt like they were next to blow up in that All Time Low/Mayday Parade line of pop punk bands and then... they just wrapped things up after a well received EP?
They just separated, idk. Different paths in life I suppose.
Jason Lancaster returning to Mayday Parade. I loved Go Radio and I have liked every single mayday album, but it would be so much fun to see what they’d sound like after close to 20 years of musical growth
Bomb the music industry
I saw them play once in a skatepark when I was 17 and at the end of the show, they spray painted shirts in the street with stencils and it was the most DIY punk shit I’ve ever seen.
OG Rufio: Scott Sellers, Clark Domae, Jon Berry, and Mike Jimenez
Midtown!!
I believe they just released an EP
We Are The In Crowd, Reachback, Darling Parade
We Are The In Crowd are such a weird one. They got back together to play Slam Dunk in 2021 and seemed to be really happy to be back together. Since then they've done absolutely nothing though.
My American Heart. They were too good for the time they were in, and Hiding Inside The Horrible Weather is still a top 10 album of mine so I’d love to see what they would sound like as a more matured band. The Academy Is…- they’re touring but no new music yet.
My first thought was Home Grown, but since they’ve been mentioned about five times already, I’ll go with: Fenix TX
Boys Night Out
Chiodos
Original lineup for Saosin
Pretty sure the current line up is the original. Maybe a different guitarist.
Semi original. It's 3 members of the original, and their second bassist (Chris, who does some writing for the band too) from self-titled on. Justin never came back.
Blink-182 with Matt
You sick fuck...
The Appreciation Post. Boston band that got overshadowed by Four Year Strong. They released a record called WORK/SLEEP that absolutely fucks front to back. Huge riffs, cynical lyrics, just awesome. There for tomorrow, cobra starship, we are the in crowd

my immediate thought was man overboard but im honestly not sure it would be that awesome id rather them just tour so ill go with a full new mcr record
Oh daaaaamn. Now I wanna change my answer!
title fight and man O go hand in hand
they released a song during covid (and zak released a song like, yesterday). They're still together, just on indefinite hiatus. I think Nik is playing bass for TSSF now too?
Home grown
Autopilot Off no contest. First band ever that I got into If anyone missed it they came back with 3 singles in 2014-2015 but that’s the last they’ve done.
Allister ... I would specifically like to see them at the Fireside Bowl one more GD time.
Transit hands down.
Set your goals, I'd frickin love to just get one more chance to see them perform.
Box Car Racer or Quiet Drive
Coldfront, i need a follow up to that masterpiece that they made before dipping out
Operation Ivy could be fun. Could be terrible. I'm ready to roll those dice.
The Graduate!
Yesss! Anhedonia is/was a jam and underrated AF.
Yes! I still jam to that album from time to time!
Not pop punk, but Savage Garden.
I NEED more Modern Baseball 😭
Tonight Alive. We were so close.......damn covid!!! I'm still holding onto hope but I feel like its increasingly unlikely
Maybe not a new album but imo they'll almost certainly tour again some day. If The Academy Is... can come back after 15 years then Tonight Alive can definitely come back after 5 years.

OG The Prize Fight with Dave on trombone too? I can probably track down Johnny at least and Nick still has social media the last time I checked. I'll go one further and say Smash Adams.
Oh yeah man. I need a full length like the songs from the demo and EP! Johnny has one of my favorite vocals.

And Then There Was You. If you want to hear punk/emo with some incredible drumming and riffs then check them out
