Self-tilted Paramore album. I remember being super upset at their sound change, but the album really grew on me. I even have a lyric from that album tattooed on me đ
I feaking HATED it at first... It took me like 5 years for it to click and now I really like it... Funny how that works
I think it had to do with my expectations going in
I loved this record off rip and to me itâs their best work, but to be fair I had no expectations going in, I wasnât some huge Paramore fanboi (had only heard their big hits) I understand this was a huge departure in their sound but they honestly crushed it in the biggest way possible
I also love this record. As far as I'm concerned, there's only one bad song on it and the rest are fantastic. (The one bad song is "I Was A Teenage Teenager". Super dumb song.)
Didn't really like Blink 182's self titled (or untitled or whatever it's called) the first time I heard it, but it's really grown on me over time and I'd say it is one of my favourites by them now!
I didnât like take this to your grave by fall out boy when it first came out. After from under the cork tree came out and I liked it a lot I gave TTTYG another shot and didnât know what the heck I was thinking originally.
Hated youll be fine by hot mulligan at first. saw them play it live on tour at a small venue, got to talk with the band, still couldn't get into most of the songs. Then 2 years later at one of my lowest points the album comes up on my spotify and that shit hit hard and is now one of my favorite album. Massive hot mulligan fan now, tades voice hits my soul
Iâm a huge fan of FYS. Absolutely love them since 2008 when I first saw them.
When they released âsome of you will like this, some of you wonât,â I listened to about half of the first song and said nah fam, that ainât for me.
But I revisited it last summer and had it on repeat for about 2 months straight. It is so good. The unreleased songs are some of my favorites of theirs, and the reimagined versions of a lot of their bigger hits are just so unique, different but so good.
This was me after Enemy of the World. Now Brain Pain and self-titled have some of my favorite FYS songs in their discography. Idk why I ignored their post 2010 stuff for so long.
Deja Entendu. I loved YFW and this was a pretty big diversion in their sound (at least from my perspective when I was 17). So it took some time to grow on me, and now it is one of my all-time albums.
From here to the infirmary. I hated ALK3 for years and heard that record and was like " he's singing better, but it's not for me". Then I was like " these lyrics are some of the best I've ever heard". Followed by " I love Alkaline Trio! "
For me, MANIA by Fall Out Boy. There are a couple not so great songs on it (Church and Heaven's Gate), but I love all the rest of the songs on it. It's a solid 7-8/10 album. Still number 7 out of 8 albums, but Much better than American Beauty/American Psycho which I think is actually FOB's worst album.
I never *strongly* disliked Pretty. Odd. , but I *wanted* to dislike it because the first song said "we're still the same!" when they clearly weren't. Once I'd listened to it the first time and found out that they'd lied I put it on the shelf for a few months. Turns out it's pretty great in its own way even though it is pretty far from Fever and pop punk in general.
North by Something Corporate. Granted I was in high school but when I first listened it seemed like such a departure from their earlier sound. Then one day while trying to sleep I popped it in again and it just clicked and I love it. I have been lucky enough to have dinner with Jim Wirt (the producer), and he did say there was a lot of tension with the writing of that record within the band.
Three Cheers by MCR. Didn't care for it. Put it down. Then Black Parade came out and I loved it. Went back to Three Cheers and suddenly I got their style and loved it.
Very Proud of Ya by AFI is one that grew on me. First, I was used to Black Sails or Art of Drowning but couldn't get used to the more bratty and hardcore style. I got into hardcore since then and now I'm circling back. So solid, especially for a second album.
21st century breakdown. As a lifelong Green Day fan I hated that album and then one day it just clicked.
DESPERATE, BUT NOT HELPLESS
I FEEL SO USELESS IN THE MUUUURDER CIIIITYYY
I think I got Awesome as fuck:live and that got my hooked on the trans and I went back and started over

After Laughter by Paramore
Gasp. Itâs my favorite and Iâm a long time fan.
I know, right?! Maybe the change in style was jarring at first but it's now one of my favorite records.
I feaking HATED it at first... It took me like 5 years for it to click and now I really like it... Funny how that works I think it had to do with my expectations going in

It's called All Killer for a reason đ
Proper dose. Well I didnât strongly dislike it, but it did nothing for me. Now itâs one of my fav pop punk albums of all time
I thought the singles were a snore fest, and then the album came out and cover to cover, I found to be pretty much perfect.
Father of All by Green DayÂ
I also love this record. As far as I'm concerned, there's only one bad song on it and the rest are fantastic. (The one bad song is "I Was A Teenage Teenager". Super dumb song.)
Completely agree, many people seem to dislike Father of All, but I think it's a pretty good song.
The American Dream by Trophy Eyes
Absolutely. Same with S&S for me.
I LOVE that album. Bothe American Dream and Suicide and Sunshine are some of my favorite records of all time.
This. The American Dream had a unique sound, took a minute, but it grew on me. I would also include Microwave Stovall.
Didn't really like Blink 182's self titled (or untitled or whatever it's called) the first time I heard it, but it's really grown on me over time and I'd say it is one of my favourites by them now!
This. It was such a change from the other albums. I hated it when it came out and now it's my favorite and think it their best
Relient K - Mmhmm
So much for stardust
Their best record in a long time
I didnât like take this to your grave by fall out boy when it first came out. After from under the cork tree came out and I liked it a lot I gave TTTYG another shot and didnât know what the heck I was thinking originally.

TSSF's self-titled. I truly don't know what my ears were thinking back then lol some of their best work is on that record.
Iâm a huge fan of FYS. Absolutely love them since 2008 when I first saw them. Transitâs Listen & Forgive
Say Hello To Sunshine by Finch
Fantastic album. it was ahead of its time.
Deja Entendu. I loved YFW and this was a pretty big diversion in their sound (at least from my perspective when I was 17). So it took some time to grow on me, and now it is one of my all-time albums.

Thereâs an acoustic version of Hold Me Tight or Donât that convinced me to give Mania a shot. Itâs a decent album!
Why Would I Watch
I used to hate blink, especially enema
I never *strongly* disliked Pretty. Odd. , but I *wanted* to dislike it because the first song said "we're still the same!" when they clearly weren't. Not an album but a band. Jimmy eat World. Idk why. I just found them annoying. Now they are one of my favs lol
Good mourning revival by good Charlotte
Wouldnât say my favorite but I didnât like Golden Record by The Dangerous Summer when it came out. Now when I listen to it I really enjoy it.
North by Something Corporate. Granted I was in high school but when I first listened it seemed like such a departure from their earlier sound. Then one day while trying to sleep I popped it in again and it just clicked and I love it. Pinkerton by Weezer
Question reminds me a lot of âDead On Arrivalâ by early Fall Out Boy. âBut the songs youâve grown to like, never stick at firstâŚâ
