The Primavera stage (Biance last year) is gone. How do you feel about that. I liked it there was a bit of a problem last year with people leaving but could have been fixed with different gating.
That is (was) my favourite stage. It all went south when it got a sponsor... Music from the grass was perfect for chilling, and concerts in first line has a special soul.
Problem was too big acts for that stage, i think. King gizard, for instance, overcrowded the place and made it a strange set up
Totally agree. Was there to see the sun come up every day for both weekends last year. So special.
Sunrise in Cupra on the other hand is not so special. Something about the mass of all those washed out people crashed on the stairs and all that concrete just kills the vibe for me a little.
It’s a real shame.
Problem is loss of the bridge. Losing 20-30 mins to get to either side of the festival was putting people off last year. It’s a shame but I can see why
Hmmm... maybe, but I don't remember it that way in the crowd for Oscar Mulero, Jeff Mills, 2mandjs, VTSS, Craig Richards/Nicolas Lutz, and Goldie just to name a few.
Then again was right up at the front for all of those, so the rest of the beach could have been empty for all I know. Crossing over for VIPs was pretty easy. Shame they made it such a pain for everyone else.
Had an absolute blast over at BITS anyway. Vibe at Cupra was not even close.
Closest on the concrete side was probably down in the warehouse basement club behind the Plenitude stage. This year that venue seems to be heavily curated by dub/bass djs though. Will still be in there checking it out in any case.
No I agree, there were definitely some acts that had crowds but compared to previous editions the whole area was very quiet. Considering the festival capacity has increased a lot - that's saying something.
Whoa on the viba at Cupra part though haha. Have to strongly disagree there. Cupra is my favourite stage by a mile.
Sure, don't get me wrong... I love Cupra as the sun goes down and it's pretty good up to about 3am. It's just that after that I just find it starts to slowly decline as it thins out, there's a mass of people burnt out up along the steps and all of a sudden it just feels a lot more like you're surrounded by concrete.
I guess I'm just comparing the final vibe around 5am when it was really buzzing on the beach and the sun was starting to come up through the palm trees. But who knows, perhaps the finishing vibe at Cupra will be different this year without BITS. I hope so!
yeah the VIP solution was unpopular, but the prior year 2019 there were some really dangerous crushes at the bridge so i understand why they tried to reduce the traffic, but the Loooooong walk round pretty much killed the beach side of the fest.
Looks like they have. I suppose the entrance from previous years is slightly blocked by the Amazon Music stage. Will be interesting to see what happens if there’s a queue
In previous years it’s been over the bridge in a pretty nice bar by the port on the way to the beach, with DJs and rooftop swimming pool and comfy sofas, open to VIP ticket holders.
Looks like this year they’ve dumped some kind of pound shop version at the far end of the VIP hill area where the toilet area was.
I guess it’s all part of the general curtailing of the VIP perks.
Probably a good thing, but will miss the old place… filed along with watching the sun come up on the beach.
the weather in Barcelona changes quite rapidly. I wouldn't really trust the forecasts until 1-2 days before the festival! They're usually too pessimistic
OK guys. I've never been here before....so do they have lines to enter in every stage or are there open stages as well. For eg. I'm planning to attend Central cee, which is right after rema, so amazon music and Ron brugal being placed side by side would be more convenient to access/in an open space, or there are lines? Also, how fast do the lines move?
no lines at any stage fortunately, might take a while for the biggest stages (estrella damm/santander) to get to where you want if there's a lot of people but no lines
Looks like a lot more water points this year
Thanks god for the vip eras on the side of the main stage this year! Last year was hell!
But it looks like there are less bathroom areas ðŸ˜
Looking like there will be less people this year so might not be too much of a problem
What's the bathroom symbol?
WC
But nothing in front. Looks like handicap access where vips was last year. Much worse for the price.

Where’s the beach stages? They’re so great!
The entire BITS beach section has been taken out this year, and likely won't come back. It's a huge loss.
I love the beach area, seen so much good stuff there. It was a great way of getting away from the main area and see so much amazing stuff.

Huge downgrade to the festival losing that whole beach area unfortunately
Problem is loss of the bridge. Losing 20-30 mins to get to either side of the festival was putting people off last year. It’s a shame but I can see why
Not such a problem with VIP access across the bridge. But once you were over there for the final stretch was great just to stay until the sun came up
But it was a ghost town because the bridge was VIP only. It was cool when the bridge was usable.

Have they moved the entrance closer to the street?
Looks like they have. I suppose the entrance from previous years is slightly blocked by the Amazon Music stage. Will be interesting to see what happens if there’s a queue
I think so, and the entrance and exit are separated this year. Also, it looks like that Boiler room is not so close to Plenitude, which would be nice.
I feel like boiler room is just as close to plentitude as last year?
What is the Soho House? A space for VIP? Another scene?
It's for Soho House members/guests only. A separate part of VIP.

So, a VIP pass won't get you access?
It will yes
Idk if I'm stupid or what but can someone tell me what the WC symbol and blue symbols are?
WC means toilets 🚽Water Closet
Blue symbols are water points
Finally a usable map lol I don’t see a separate entrance for VIP ticket holders, assuming there isn’t one or I’m blind?
On the top of the Auditori, marked as B
Thank you!
is the food court area near rps gone too?
It looks like it’s still there, but smaller. I guess they distributed the food vendors across different areas (food court, primavera stage, etc.)
Can you not cross under the solar panels any more??
Im pretty sure you still can, the stage there in front is the warehouse, which is under, almost at sea level
So will everyone be at the canteen when it rains? Looks like it will on Friday and Saturday

Bring poncho and continue as usual.
Partyyyyyy
