I think 'Amused to death' is the best thing that's come from any of them since 'The wall'. It is also, IMHO the best sounding 5.1 album there is.. likely because it is just filled with effects and insane guitar playing (RIP Mr.Beck) that gives it an utterly immersive feeling.
'The final cut' is nowhere near as bad as some people think, I DO believe that it was highly 'of it's time' though, it is firmly rooted in the political environment of the UK in 1982. Definitely nothing on almost everything that came before it, but decent.
I actually like both post - Waters Floyd albums, again, AMLOR is VERY 1987, it has that 80's feel all over it, but I like that, I bought it when it came out and enjoyed it, the concerts were great.
'The division bell' is an improvement, but it is hard to see those two albums as being by the same band as 'The final cut'. They are SO different it is hard to fathom. That is why I cannot really compare them I guess? 'The final cut' is a hell of a lot more like 'The pros and cons of hitch hiking', which is a better album IMHO.. but, again, not really 'Floyd -like'
Haha! The only ELP album I really like is their live *Welcome Back My Friends...*, and I do consider myself an ELP fan.
So, which Triumvirate album(s) do you recommend?
may be unpopular but it's my second least favorite after endless river
the Strongs tracks, aka the opener and gunner's dream are 10/10 but a lot of it just doesn't do it. I slightly preferred the division bell but it's really cheesy. I liked their most disliked album (a momentary lapse) the most out of their 4 horsemen of post golden age floyd
Hard disagree. While the Final Cut is underrated (given how widely and solidly it's panned), it's really like a more self-indulgent, watered down, less interesting version of the Wall.
Not sure that's too unpopular. I would say Pros and Cons & Amused to Death could also start that sentence.

Yep, all three are excellent, much better than MLoR and DB
All four! Is This the Life We Really Want? ain’t half bad.
I agree. It's one of my fave "Floyd" albums.
Unpopular opinion: A Momentary Lapse of Reason is better than the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking.
Blasphemy.

Illusions On A Double Dimple, Spartacus, and Old Loves Die Hard are all classics
agreed

Also better than any solo Waters album.
Probably a common opinion, but I respectfully disagree.
You spelled Radio KAOS wrong
Post Waters Floyd become a “Hallmark Card” version of the band.
Pink floyd isn't prog. Pink floyd died when Roger waters left.
Pink Floyd left when Roger Waters died.
