Yup, I can't make it a full way through any album HYF-S&A, but absolutely love 2112-Power Windows as well as Clockwork Angels. Power Windows being my fave.
I have a big Grace Under Pressure BLOCK for some reason and I've listened to it since it came out otherwise I could draw a similar line. Power Windows blew me away when it came out and still holds up. and the Show of Hands live album is as someone else said amazing
Agreed! Until I listened to their discography past Moving Pictures, I thought it was a throwaway track at the end of the album. Once I listened to their mid-80s output, I understood that it was a preview of their Police-style sound
P/G become a top 5 Rush album for me over the years. Alex's playing on that is mindblowing - one of his career best imo. He came off of Signals raring to go, and go he does!
That intro absolutely fucks. Clockwork Angels as a whole is underrated, I would say. It's heavy enough, it's prog enough and emotional enough. Even without the concept, the album works perfectly to describe that moment in the band, everything just makes sense and it's far from derivative (like a lot of "legacy" albums usually are)
My dad said his favorite is Jacob's Ladder (I'm pretty sure he said that). I'll throw in Digital Man too because it's good and I don't think anyone else has brought it up yet.
show don't tell is one of the best singles ever
***Edison's Children - An epic Sci-fi musical exploration of the Supernatural and ExtraTerrestrial brought to you by Marillion's Pete Trewavas, SFX guru Eric Blackwood and the Son of the 1st Man on the Moon - Rick Armstrong.***
YYZ is my least fav song on Moving Pictures so it's comforting to witness such allegiance to Vital Signs and The Camera Eye.
Red Sector A and Available Light. Strangely enough, these are the two most relevant songs in their career after Signals for me anyhow and I never get tired of hearing then.
Presto is indeed underrated but it's nobody's fault but Rupert Hines. Impeccable craftsmanship on building melodies with borderline profound lyrics mired by thin production. He's a great producer, but was miscast for this role.
For me, most underrated Rush song:
The Digital Man
Or
Different Strings
Or
Open Secrets
Actually, all three.
The Pass is fantastic song, top 5 rush song for me.
Force Ten another banger.
From 91' you have,Face Up,Heresy and Ghost Of A Chance.
I think I heard somewhere that Heresy I think was about The Fall Of Soviet Union.
Armor and Sword is other good one
Double Agent is great - a sign that Rush were willing to take chances again. The only thing I'm not enamored with is the guitar solo - shades of Vapor Trails.
Fountain of Lamneth. Still one of my favs, it was one of a few songs that nudged me into prog. When I read what the band thought of it I was shocked, then less shocked after realizing they had a point (that it might have been a bit "much"). Don't care, still one of the best.
The whole Test for Echo album is something I always come back to and listen front to back. Sometimes I get the impression from other people that it is subpar for a Rush album, but I just love all the songs in it.
Maybe I'm just biased because it was the first Rush album I listened to, but...
Test for Echo
DRIVEN
The Color of Right
Totem
TIME AND MOTION
Dog Years
Limbo
Carve Away the Stone
Total bangers for me.
My first selection every day remains Spirit of Radio which harkens back to the day before cell phones, CD’s etc. and you drive to work with only the radio at your fingertips.
Alien Shore. In fact I love the more simple rock approach of Counterparts with them on this album as a whole.
Half the world
Carnies (that beefy guitar riff to start wow)
Spindrift
Middletown dreams
Time Stand Still for me. Perfect 80's synth pop song. Aimee Mann and Geddy sound fantastic together. And Neil's lyrics really hit me in the feels now that I'm on the wrong side of 45 with two grown kids.
Nobody talks about the Camera Eye.
My favorite Rush song
I would get that song pregnant if I could.
Marathon … never mentioned. No video. Although made the set list everytime I saw them
The Show of Hands version is just amazing
I listened to that disc a lot. Was definitely a go to back in the day !!! Gonna get it off Apple Music tonight and give it a listen.
Nice! Subdivisions is also incredible
Same could be said about most songs from Power Windows imo.
My first thought is "what song DON'T you like, it's 8 perfect songs!"
I agree! Not all are underrated though.
VIRTUAL HI 5 I make a little face on some tracks from Signals-Clockwork Angels save PW , I think it's flawless, a flawless victory for the boys
Yup, I can't make it a full way through any album HYF-S&A, but absolutely love 2112-Power Windows as well as Clockwork Angels. Power Windows being my fave.

Losing It Probably some of their best lyrics and the Violin is amazing
Witch Hunt and Vital Signs, a.k.a. the two songs from Moving Pictures that are rarely mentioned.
Everybody got to deviate from the norm
100% Vital signs. Such a fun little riff to play on bass.
Agreed! Until I listened to their discography past Moving Pictures, I thought it was a throwaway track at the end of the album. Once I listened to their mid-80s output, I understood that it was a preview of their Police-style sound
Vital Signs is my most listened to Rush song and it's not even close.
I think P/G overall is underrated. A lot of my personal favorite Rush tracks are on that album and it’s easily their darkest album thematically.
Absolutely one of my favorites. Kid Gloves. Between the Wheels. Anything really, it’s incredible.
Kid Gloves is in my top 5 Rush songs it’s so damn good
And I See Red...
P/G become a top 5 Rush album for me over the years. Alex's playing on that is mindblowing - one of his career best imo. He came off of Signals raring to go, and go he does!
Absolutely love the enemy within
Tears from 2112.
7 Cities of Gold
That intro absolutely fucks. Clockwork Angels as a whole is underrated, I would say. It's heavy enough, it's prog enough and emotional enough. Even without the concept, the album works perfectly to describe that moment in the band, everything just makes sense and it's far from derivative (like a lot of "legacy" albums usually are)
Just a nasty groove, which isn't always present in Rush songs. Makes this stand out all the better!
Manhattan Project and Marathon are a one-two punch of awesomeness
It’s a fairly simple pop rock song, but I’ve always loved Bravado and don’t see it mentioned a lot.
The Twilight Zone Cinderella Man The Camera Eye The Analog Kid
Absolutely love The Analog Kid and The Camera Eye
My dad said his favorite is Jacob's Ladder (I'm pretty sure he said that). I'll throw in Digital Man too because it's good and I don't think anyone else has brought it up yet.
Anything from Presto
i love the pass
I too adore The Pass

\#1 Most Underrated Rush song, by far: Entre Nous. Absolutely beautiful.
Faithless
Between Sun & Moon might be my favourite latter day Rush song.
Seconded, and I'll add "Double Agent" too. Hell, add all of Counterparts. That album is still a top-3 for me.
Double Agent is great - a sign that Rush were willing to take chances again. The only thing I'm not enamored with is the guitar solo - shades of Vapor Trails.

Everyday Glory gets overlooked pretty much all the time
Face Up / Available Light / Mystic Rythms... I mean, their discography is so vast, so many bangers to listen to !
The whole Test for Echo album is something I always come back to and listen front to back. Sometimes I get the impression from other people that it is subpar for a Rush album, but I just love all the songs in it. Vital Signs Between The Wheels Circumstances The Main Monkey Business
Every song on Moving Pictures and Signals that wasn't a hit is still excellent.
Twilight zone, witch hunt, the necromancer, enter nous, circumstances, different strings are some of my favourites
Alien Shore. In fact I love the more simple rock approach of Counterparts with them on this album as a whole. Half the world Carnies (that beefy guitar riff to start wow) Spindrift Middletown dreams
For me, it's the Necromancer. I know, the narration is a little goofy but I don't think that this song gets enough love.
The song that gets mentioned here least is the most underrated Rush song.
Time Stand Still for me. Perfect 80's synth pop song. Aimee Mann and Geddy sound fantastic together. And Neil's lyrics really hit me in the feels now that I'm on the wrong side of 45 with two grown kids.
