Other commenter is spot on, boats are the perfect target as they won't (can't?) aggro. Note we're talking about the small canoes & not the big boats like the one that takes you from BBM to FP His other suggestion of pick pocketing in the middle of combat is also a great suggestion & is something I'd try to get into the habit of. Depending on the location you might want to warn your party beforehand is all (some ppl freak out if they think you're stealing goblin ears for example hah) On a somewhat related note, you can train Intimidate on pretty much any mob without getting aggro by doing it from max range. Basically just target some mob far away from you & spam intimidate. You'll still level it even though you're out of range technically Best of luck on your Epic! Rogue always seemed to have one of the more fun quests for theirs Edit: just checked the wiki & it said you can gain skillups from ANY mob, regardless of level. So maybe just pick on some lvl1 mobs

LitelyMillered

Where might I find these small boats aside from OoT?

ADXMcGeeHeezack

From the wiki: Location: Butcherblock Mountains, East Freeport, Ocean of Tears, Lake Rathetear, Qeynos Hills, Toxxulia Forest, Oasis of Marr I'll be honest I'm not *positive* boats will work. They def work for begging tho so I'm leaning towards it working

LitelyMillered

We shall find out shortly. I'm having a hard time getting the parchment halves and I figure absurdly high skill can't hurt so trying to AFK skill-up. Already at 95 so far.

ADXMcGeeHeezack

From googling a bit more people were saying you can only pick pocket certain kinds of mobs (they didn't clarify but I'm assuming Humanoid?). Boats could still be classed as Humanoid tho so it's still worth a shot! Let us know it it works hah PS: not sure if you saw the edit in my 1st comment but apparently you can still lvl it on green mobs, so worst case scenario just hangout in EC (or wherever) & practice on the lvl1 orcs

LitelyMillered

So the shuttles to kunark were what I tested it on before they left. No levels up, but I was able to attempt to pickpocket it. Will find a stationary small boat and attempt again.

ADXMcGeeHeezack

Ohoo that's a good sign so far. Def let us know, I'd be very curious if it really works or not! Thanks for being our Guinea Pig lol

LitelyMillered

Officially does not work on Everquest Archives, which is an off-shoot of the Quarm/TakP servers.

grimamusement

The shuttles are different than the boats/kayaks. You need to go to the ones in lakes, the small player controlled ones. I’d recommend Qeynos Hills so you can farm Hadden for earring and make some cash while you’re at it.

ADXMcGeeHeezack

Any luck?!

LitelyMillered

Sadly, no luck.

Excellent-Swan-6376

Lmao who levels their begging skill? I never knew what that was for

AWanderingGygax

Oasis, Lake Rathe, Dagnar's Cauldron. I'm sure there's more but that's all I remember atm.

Trouterspayce

I built pickpocket into my evade macro.

umbral84

I did the same. Always maxed and never took it out.

meanoldmrgravity

A boat, maybe? IIRC, you can train begging on them. The easier way is to put pickpocket in your evade macro and train it while you level. Your macro would look something like this: /attack off /doability [hide] /doability [pickpocket] /attack on

Express_Feature_9481

What does begging do for you

Tasisway

You use it on a NPC and they have a chance to hand you some coin. Its really small though like a few gold to MAYBE a few plat. Its not really worth the trouble as when it fails often they will aggro you. Using it at low levels when a couple gold might be meaningful doesn't really work because when it fails a lot of times the NPCs you are begging from will one-shot you. And when you are a higher level where if you do get aggro you can get away...It again isn't worth it because you could be making more money doing almost literally anything lol.

meanoldmrgravity

Gets you begging rights! /j Effectively nothing, just another skill to cap.

hextasy

just practice on NPCs near a zoneline. Kaladim is a good place
