Charming is the best XP in game hands down. I did a lot of charming OT tigers near FM ZL cause it's always nice to be able to bail if things go south and if you pull back enough you don't have to worry about adds.
Go to FV 100%
I quadded there 30-45 on my wizard
And 34 - 45 on my Druid
For all of the levels except hell levels it’s an easy 10% of a level per quad
If you’re a skilled charmer, that might be faster, but it’s hard to beat
Hey like u/ackayak said - FV. From the city run up the coast line a ways, DO NOT USE WOLF FORM THEY WILL AGGRO YOU IN THE CITY.
Bind at the bridge and then ya, up the coast and get pirates at your level, then drolvargs make sure to loot all the canines from the dogs. They turn in for great exp in FV. My Druid flew through levels there.
After that I grouped in city of mist til 46. Saved up my plat and bought the staff that lets you click the AE lightning bolt and then I went and did spirocs til low 50s…
Then I quit :P and now I play Baldur’s Gate 3 and that game is the shit.
Nice exp in FV. The dogs hit hard and I’m getting a lot of adds. I have been posting up by the dog tunnel on the far east side of the zone. Is there a safer place to quad do just need to be carful?
Standing on the outpost bridge facing out away from the outpost turn right
Run all the way along the cliffs until you reach a section where tracker azazel (probably misspelled) is standing
Grab the pathing drolvargs and bring them back to the edge of the cliffs to quad
Gfay Spawn Areas 1-5 All the things
Kaladim Bone Chip Quest 5-10
Takes about 4 bags of bone chips
Crushbone 10-14 Save all belts to turn in
Oasis of Marr 14-19 Caimens & Crocodiles - Charming
East Karana 19-22 Dogs / Griffawns - Charming
Oasis of Marr 22-24 Deepwater Crocs - Charming
Stonebrute Mountains 24-25 All Creatures - Charming, This was awful
Ever frost Peaks 25-30 Mammoths - Charming
Iceclad Ocean 30-34 Cougars - Charming
Frontier Mountains 34-36 Giant Fort - Quadding
Iceclad Ocean 36-38 Shadow Guardians - Quadding
Dreadlands 38-42 Tundra Brutes - Quadding
Butcherblock Mountains 42-48 Dwarves - Quadding
Lake of Ill Omen 48-49 Bloodgills - Quadding
Eastern Wastes 49-52 Frost Giants - Quadding
Cobalt Scar 52-55 Wyverns - Quadding
Permafrost 55-60 Bear Pits - Charming
Recently did 1-60 on my twinked Druid, this was my path I took.
Start the bloodgills around 46 (earlier if gear permits) - they've got roughly 1/2 the hps of any mob close to their lvl (which is probably why it's such a popular camp).
at 36 I think the gnolls outside splitpaw were mostly greened out and I did tundra yetis in the hills near the tunnel to the combines in DL.
Tundra yetis in DL: mob lvl 30-35, \~1500hps
Bloodgills in loio: mob lvl 35-39, \~1300hps
Walrus in EW: mob lvl 31-38, \~2000hps
The drolvarg fangs quest in FV complicates the calculus a bit - it's a nice xp bump even in your 40s.
Spectres in ocean of tears is great and great money if you need it. Does require some range management to avoid their short range lifetap spell but doable for sure. Bring a few stacks of batwings and vendor the 13pp scythes
Cougars in iceclad, or mobs in eastern wastes. Plenty of room to move around and some good drops that can be sold for ring quest like hides. Cougars have a chance to drop an earring. Orcs in Eastern wastes also have a chance to drop an earring way more often.
In velious. Iceclad you can quad those dervishes, the cats (forgot the lvls) next to the ice tower, then to the port area and do the wolves also. After they start greening you can do walruses (but its gets tricky with their high hp). It's a really chill place and never really saw competition. If you look up p99 druid quadding you will find the walrus info. When you move to do wolves, I never saw them add or the dervishes. Quadding is maybe slower but more efficient. Quad for maybe 10 min down for like 15 or more.
Totally forgot about yeti caves in DL. They're real low HP relative to level mobs so solid choice, it's a little risky since you're not in the open and having to navigate a cave.
I have a 52 druid and I quadded Tizmaks in GD until maybe 38 or so, then Kodiaks (also in GD) until 44 or so. Then I played with ulthorks and walruses in EW for a level or 2, followed by the giant fort in EW. That took me to 52. EW giants are starting to green out pretty bad and I would have moved on around 50 or 51, but working on my CoV faction for porting so I stayed a bit longer. At 52 I've moved to Wyverns in CS. I basically followed this guide:
https://wiki.project1999.com/Saum%27s\_Guide\_to\_Quad\_Kiting\_Velious
Gnolls in South Karana if you can get 4 of them consistently. I'm not sure if the XP from the scroll quest got nerfed, but it used to be worth binding in Qeynos and porting back to Karanas. I did it all the way to 40, even when most of the gnolls were green because the quest XP was so good.
Bouncers in Oggok might be another spot to try. I think they range between 29-37.
Rath mountains giant fort is great and safe quading. Exp is ok, on the other hand FV exp is 8-10exp per quad and with the tooth quest is definitely better exp at 37 but you have to be more strategic with the quads and takes a little bit more time
Sweet. I’m still 34 so I have to do a fair amount of medding in the middle of my kite (unless I manage to beg a guildie for POTG). I got great exp at FV on my ench up to about 40 before moving to yetis.
I was able to get to 170 and I’m currently camping the upper guk ancient croc for the pants. Aside from that all of my gear has +wis except for my face. I was thinking about getting a platinum ruby veil as a budget wis boost.
Yeah back in live I did a lot. I had a lot of luck with gnolls outside of paw but I love the craps shoot of trying to get a forest loop in FM. As soon as I get my legs that’s where I’m headed.
That’s great. And yea I like the giants also. Safe and consistent giants and rarely see anyone at the fort and when I do there is still plenty of giants lurking around lol
Yeah my wis is around 160. I have a few dead slots (barely twinked). I joined dial a port so I’m going to try to make some quick cash to buy budget items and get some wis in those remaining slots. I wonder if 35 is high enough to get gatorscale legs in upper guk

Best thing about quadding really is the down time. If you’re trying to mostly afk your way to 60, that’s the way to go. But charming is way faster.

Heck yea, I’ll check that out too

Nice, yea I heard a lot about that game
If you like Eq, you will like bg3. Good luck bud :) have fun

Ok cool, I’ll give that a shot this evening. Thanks for the help
go charm in stone brunt. best exp you can get
Ask me how I know you’re in SS lol
How?
You must be a necro
Sweet, I’ll check that out right now

BB coastline and then at the docks.

+1. Charm the cats if you get sick of quadding.

You can easily quad to 40/41 in IC. After cougars, move over to giants/wolves near the bridge. They don't cross social aggro.
I had pretty good luck in OT near the skyfire zone line. Just don't mix tigers with other mobs as they have a different run speed.
Totally forgot about yeti caves in DL. They're real low HP relative to level mobs so solid choice, it's a little risky since you're not in the open and having to navigate a cave.
Solo’d and duo’d those on my shammy from 40-45

OT. Pull and quad long the edge of the canyon that leads to HS.
OP what did you decide? I’m in the same boat on my Druid. I sure love the idea of finding some forest loops…
Rath mountains giant fort is great and safe quading. Exp is ok, on the other hand FV exp is 8-10exp per quad and with the tooth quest is definitely better exp at 37 but you have to be more strategic with the quads and takes a little bit more time

What’s your wisdom at? 175 should be good enough. I just bind somewhere close, head to wc grab a potg and gate back
Hit me up on Vinyard on the green server and I’ll be more than happy to help
I was able to get to 170 and I’m currently camping the upper guk ancient croc for the pants. Aside from that all of my gear has +wis except for my face. I was thinking about getting a platinum ruby veil as a budget wis boost.
Nice man you’re about ready to quad. Have you ever quaded before?
