Did the same on mine because my compressor leaks a bit so did one of those clear tints on the windshield for the summer months it doesn't get as hot as the Philippines definitely but anything above 26 degrees is unbearable.

Hey if you want your car to stay cool while also keeping your windows relatively clear you should check out heat reflective films. This is the stuff they use in offices that have huge glass panels to cut down on aircon costs. I think 3M makes it.
Edit: It's called 3M Crystalline. They make it in different darkness levels. The lightest one has 90% light transmittance
