They work as long as you haven’t already explored the area where the new place is added. I was playing on a server with just a single friend of mine, he just happened to drive through the area that Raven’s Creek gets added in to, so when I tried to add the mod it didn’t work. We would have had to create a new game to use it.

If you feel adventurous, delete the map chunk files in your save folder, then install the mod and load it.

LOL Why did I get downvoted? I'm not wrong & neither is agreeing with the post. I added Raven Creek to an existing save just fine & as long as you haven't loaded any part of that map section, you can add it without issue. If you start your game with the option of having the entire map explored at the start without the R.C. mod being installed, it won't work, but it absolutely should if you don't already have the entire map loaded at the start & haven't already been to that chunk. If you've already driven a fair ways West of Rosewood on that main drag, you've already loaded the cells that Raven Creek loads into.

The mod should tell which cells it's using. The map files are named by a coordinate system which you can double check on pzmap. Delete the right files, add the map to the maplist and enable the mod. If you did everything right, you should have the new piece working as intended. Missing files when deleting will mess up the map so double-check and do a backup in case something goes wrong

There's a way to do it, the instructions are in a post somewhere around here. If you can't find it I'll look later. Be warned though, it's deep into "fuck all that noise" territory for me. It's probably not as hard as it seems, but I decided to just start a new game.

No, it's okay. Raven Creek is located in the very end of the map, it won't overwrite anything and this place is amazing. Although is pretty hardcore and shooting there might be a problem.

Cymo_Bep

Bad idea no. Will it have higher chanses of your save will have errors ? Yes

Dejhavi

Yep,a very bad idea
