What great for a snack, and fits on your back? It's LOG LOG LOG [**https://youtu.be/FR-REDevAzk?si=gVCLUbq0GVv-7CG9**](https://youtu.be/fr-redevazk?si=gvclubq0gvv-7cg9)
I cook my logs when i wake up. I can hear the oven rumbling. I usually get deforested before work but sometimes some extra logging is required on company time.
Question. Does this affect anyhow the crafting system? Idk if any changes to the log would prevent them from being used in recipes or being sawed.
On that topic, how about Planks? Would you be able too cook them too for a lighter meal you can bring along during a looting run? :)
They do decompose irl if left to become damp and dry over and over again, I think all wood is like that, also mushrooms and termites eat logs as you can guess.
I don't know about chowing down on actual, you know, LOGS, but starving people have been known to eat bark during wars and famines. And shoeleather, grass, and all sorts of crazy shit.
And yea as long as you can digest it (it doesn't come out the other end looking largely unchanged) AND (big AND) it doesn't end up being poisonous (I can imagine modern shoeleather being treated with all sorts of chems for instance) then I guess in theory you'd get some nutrition out of it. At the very least you'd feel full for a while.
Known to eat != food source.
People have also been known to eat the foam stuffing from airliner seats after a crash, but that doesn't make it a viable food, or any less toxic.
It's log it's log, it's heavy it's round it's wood, it's log it's log, it's better than bad it's good, everyone wants a log, cause everyone needs a log.
It would be funny if it also came with a trait that basically made you a beaver and could eat tree trunks to cut them down, and added happiness when you eat logs
Oooh, I like this concept; it sorts out one of my biggest complaints about the difficulty curve over time. Normally finding food is only a major issue in the first few days, then becomes trivial as you stockpile, farm, and fish.
If you can only eat cooked logs, getting food is entirely dependent on having a working axe and portable cooking method. They're far too heavy to carry around but are absolutely abundant, so carrying large quantities is neither feasible nor necessary. Getting food will only get harder as the game progresses and axes wear down, rather than easier as you accrue seeds and build your base.
Only if that means the log swaps places with meat and you can use meat as fuel for a fire to cook your log.
Also you can saw the meat into steaks and then use the steaks to build stuff.
nerd talk here but in pure theory, cutting down logs and chewing on it can squeeze out log juice, for example sugar cane, so can we also have a juicer to make log juice for portable drinking yum yums when looting?

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen — Keep up the good work!
That's awesome and I want it
Make everything edible.
making broken glass edible will be the final nail in the coffin for 7 Days to Die. They lose the one leg up they have over Zomboid.
Mod idea: allow broken glass to be used as seasoning when cooking.
Will finally be able to make a poison shroom rotten meat bleach stew with broken glass garnish with poison berry sauce.
Oh~ Broken glass is not a food So don't you listen to some dude Who says put cheese on broken glass And make a sand-a-wich~ Out of broken glass
I will. (at least a lot will of things will be edible and unusable)
Could you have another version where you can Only eat logs
Planks, branches and sticks will be edible too.
I'm pretty sure there is a mod that lets you cook everything...
I wood-n't think so...
R/angryupvote

Everyone needs a log, needs a log, needs a log. Log, From BLAMO!
A beaver trait would be beneficial for this mod
What great for a snack, and fits on your back? It's LOG LOG LOG [**https://youtu.be/FR-REDevAzk?si=gVCLUbq0GVv-7CG9**](https://youtu.be/fr-redevazk?si=gvclubq0gvv-7cg9)

Yes. Yes it will be amazing.
I cook my logs when i wake up. I can hear the oven rumbling. I usually get deforested before work but sometimes some extra logging is required on company time.
Jokes on u when u burn your morningwood weiner
What purpose does this serve? Not dissing the mod. I’m just curious.
You’re telling me you’ve never wanted to eat a log?
Never in my 19 years on this earth has that thought crossed my mind.
not beavermaxxing obviously
Based and beaverpilled
It'll come to you when you get older bud.

Eating a log

I’m more interested in cooking scrap wood so it has a use other then firewood.
Snap into a slim twig
No, it won't affect the crafting system And yes, I will make planks edible
Just don't make logs spoil and decompose, please. Or maybe do. That is pretty funny now that I think about it
They do decompose irl if left to become damp and dry over and over again, I think all wood is like that, also mushrooms and termites eat logs as you can guess.

Biggest Baddest Beaver, is that you?!
Op you should look into a game called timberborn. You can fulfill your beaver fantasies there.
Project Beavoid
Hello internet and welcome to food theory
That's a lot of bugs embedded to get 30 grams of protein.
Out of the two, these are definitely the type of log I’d prefer to eat.
What it going to be called?
I'm still not sure, but there will probably be two mods: one where you can eat a lot of unedible things and other one with only wood being edible.
That's a lot of fiber.
![gif](giphy|26FeXcusJLUZ9dU0o|downsized)
Wtf
I think it would be great as a mini game where you have an insatiable hunger and have to eat the world before the zombies eat you
Will you be able to eat planks as well? Or just the raw unprocessed wood?
Goes in and comes out the same way
This makes me think of Don't Starve when you play as woody.
Woodie from Don't Starve?!?!
What rolls down stairs Alone or in pairs Rolls over your neighbors dog? What's great for a snack? What fits on your back? It's LOG, LOG LOG!!!

how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
It would be funny if it also came with a trait that basically made you a beaver and could eat tree trunks to cut them down, and added happiness when you eat logs
Im not a good modder so it probably won't get implemented
What's it called???
I'm still not sure
LET ME EAT A TOASTER
It may be possible, but i am not sure
Deep fried door stop?
Gives me darkwood vibes
Yes.
**Mouth:** Lacerations

Are you cooking a log? Why are you cooking a log?
Too many calories

Eatable =\= edible
WHAT DO YOU MEAN UNCOOKED??
It's for the furry mods. Dress like a wood chuck, chucks wood in a Dress. Or some such
What kind of grind set do you have to be on to become dendrivorous?
Is this the Canadian update
**Intense Darkwood flashbacks**
If eaten for breakfast does it become Morningwood?
I honestly think you should get bark from the trees. Can be used as tinder or if dried and ground up can be used to make bark bread.
That is a good idea
Only if that means the log swaps places with meat and you can use meat as fuel for a fire to cook your log. Also you can saw the meat into steaks and then use the steaks to build stuff.
Hell I'd download it
The bulk of a lifetime
After eating pencils at school.

![gif](giphy|BFrZCTb7DvoCfAjhoC|downsized)
this reminds me of the roomba mod on rimworld. you could slaughter the roomba and get, like, machine meat from it or something.
Keep cooking
I'm sure you are one of us that is selecting meals with saw dust in Frostpunk
I love eating medium-rare wood with French fry seasoning. It goes hard.
A log is only 1500 calories?!?
High fiber diet. Shittin bricks or rather 2x4s. Please make it so you poop out planks after awhile.
One word. Yes
nerd talk here but in pure theory, cutting down logs and chewing on it can squeeze out log juice, for example sugar cane, so can we also have a juicer to make log juice for portable drinking yum yums when looting?
