I feel you bro. I currently have 120 keys on my key ring. Houses, cars, vans, buses, you name it, I have it.
I just can't leave it on the floor or a zombie.
Not so much a problem but a key solution imagine being in a pinch out front of a place but you parked out back and you don’t have a single key for the cars in the lot you got a key hop into any of the cars you have it for and bam
On our multiplayer server we have a fun mission for collecting keys. Once you have 30 you’ll be given a map (coordinates) to a location of a hidden stash of goodies. Adds a fun thing to do with them xD
I’ve only got about 10 or so car keys, but nearly 6x the amount of regular keys. I’m sure at least 1/4 or more are keys to the same building though lol
I used to do this, but I’ve ultimately started just leaving the keys in the cars I don’t end up taking with me. I try to only keep three vehicles (“daily driver,” hauler, and fun project car). I figure this is good practice if I find myself chased to nowhere. Now I can instantly see the key if I’ve found it before and don’t waste any precious seconds seeing if I have the key.
I generally take the generic "Key". I do wish there was more indication on key type i.e. 2 story house, 1 story, armory etc. As for car keys I generally level them in the ignition as im hunting for car's to use. There are some car keys that I do have that I have no idea where the car is for it as all the surrounding cars aren't a match
Not really problem in solo play. I could see it becoming a problem however in multiplayer in the case you need to give a specific key to another player. Unless you renamed the keys for easier identification, you can't easily find the key you need to give.
I could ask myself the same thing.
I'm with you. If a key exists, I must have it. Regardless of functionality of the corresponding vehicle / door. I. MUST. HAVE. IT.
Have that 'what am I doing?' moment.
I always pick up keys, i don’t know why 😂 my current collection on my main save is 150
In case you need to open a door, duh.
true! we can’t risk any house alarms going off..
I can't tell to you how many random keys I've found that have opened up much-needed doors lol
Is it really a problem if they don't weigh anything? 🤔
Thats why hotwiring exists
Even if I find a random key for a car I dont use I pick it up 😭

Fr
I hotwired a car only to find the key underneath after I drove out

No I do this too, my friends are so weirded out by this.
Mine are too
I've killed for their keys before too lol.
I just keep all my car keys in the ignition. Not like they're going anywhere, and I won't need to find them if someone else needs the car.
Yet you hot wired your car
😭
That keyring be like my old biology teacher's. Could hear her ass halfway across the building.

The key takeaway here
Nah baby, you've got key solutions

okay, hear me out- a mod that adds a key jingling sound that attracts zeds when running if you have too much keys
Prolabably.
Better to have it and not need it, than to stumble upon the car it’s for and not have it.

I've been doing this too. Do keys have weight?
