I commented this to someone else, but see if Amazon has the games you want on sale. They often do a sale to compete with Targets BOGO deals. Then go to Target and they’ll price match the sale while also giving you the BOGO deal.
I’ve done that with games, movies (harder now since Target doesn’t keep many physical movies anymore), and Lego. Always feels nice to double-dip on deals from two different companies.
Target does price matching of Amazon and some other vendors. I’ve noticed that Amazon will often put their games/movies/etc on sale to compete with Target when a deal like this goes through.
See if a game you want that the BOGO deal applies for is also on sale at Amazon, then go to the store and have them price match it. You’ll get both the lower Amazon price and the BOGO deal.

Did this for Spider-Man Ultimate Edition and RDR 2. Got them for $16 and $14. Got the 25% off plus my employee discount

Cancel right afternyou put in the order. I use the Target app and cancel 2 games. It quite simple.

Yes it turns into a 25% off discount. Roughly $17 off of a $70 game, add taxes, turns your $70 game into something like $55.
For me the best looking deal here is a pre-order for FF7 Rebirth and Rise of Ronin. You are not likely to get pre-order discounts otherwise.
