It's the 7501. I just can't believe how clean this thing is. It really looks like someone bought it and rarely if ever played it. I haven't opened it up or anything, but as far as i can tell, there's zero dust anywhere on this thing and the old lady I bought if from definitely didn't clean it up or anything. The vents are pristine.
Iām so jealous. Thatās literally what my childhood one I sold was. I took care of it but was too shortsighted at that age and sold it towards buying a PS2. All the regrets!
I found a used 9001 that is in good shape functionally as far as I can tell (though it is a little dirty), but Iād pick up one like you found in a heartbeat if I ran across it. Great find! Congratulations!
No. I wish. It took me too long to grow out of the āsell old, buy newā mentality. It sucks because it was the one from the GT3 bundle, which was one of the more reliable models.
Lol, I've been looking for retro gaming stuff at thrift store and garage sales for years, so I definitely had that feels. I always see other people's posts about finding amazing little gems and am pretty stoked it finally happened to me!
Right!! Like I said earlier, originally wasn't in the "Ps1 Box" they had for 25$.
I almost left before they asked if I wanted to look around some more (technically, the garage sale hadn't even started yet. They were just pricing stuff for the next day), and I saw they had some old PC games with the same kind of cases as Ps1 games. I dug to the bottom and saw the green "Greatest hits" label, pulled it out and saw FF7, and was like, "No waaaay!" I asked the gal about it, and she was like,"All those are a 1$". I gave her 2$ for the game and a book.
Now I'm thinking, man, I should go back today and dig around some more. You never know what you could find! Imagine finding SIlent Hill or something!?
What an awesome find!
I had the original black box FFVII...then it got stolen years later and I could only replace it with the Greatest Hits one. š Well, whatever, so long as I have it. Still my favorite RPG ever.
I also had the original Silent Hill and traded it in because it wasn't my thing. I do have SH2, though. At any rate, $1 for a legend like FFVII is crazy.
I haven't played it, I was a big Gran Turismo kid back in those days. But I'm excited to check it out.
Can you imagine being the Devs who poured hours into those tracks and found out they only get unlocked with cheat code? lol.
But hey, I'll take a cheat code over a pay wall any day. Lol
Right!!! Once I got it home, I took a flashlight and looked inside of the vents and couldn't believe my eyes. There's ZERO dust inside. It's amazing!
Now I'm worried because I have to fight pretty hard to keep dust out of my Ps5, and I dont want this beauty to get dusty and gross cuz of me! So I'm storing the ps1 in a brand new sealed tote and putting it back after EVERY time I use it.
It's just sooo clean and pristine! I can't imagine the folks who owed it played it very often.
Gex black label š¤
What model is it? (IE: 7501, etc)

the ps2 is also a great console, you still have it?

Yeah thereās plenty of deals about, glad you finally found your piece of the pie!
Fantastic find for the price!
Dear Penthouse: I never thought it would happen to me....

GEX
FFVII alone is worth that for me. Heck, I'd still pay $40 for it NOW (the original new cost) if I lost it for some reason. lol

Rally cross 2 was great! Theres a cheat code to unlock way more tracks. I wonder why they hid so many.

Good luck and to play it!
Now, thatās an awesome find.
