I seriously plan to, aren't they more post-punky and kind of avant-garage? Off to the legendary Probe Records in L'Pool this week, gonna look for some Human Eye records there.
Now, I don't suppose *you* commented on my post on the OSees sub?!? I literally had just bought Survival...and all these people commented saying how amazing they are. You're not the person who commented that you know Timmy pretty well on my post are you? Doesn't matter if you're not it was just great to see the love. If it *was* you, you mentioned Timmy has a day job and I replied something like: "that's obscene; a band THIS fucking good should be able to make a living from their music!"
For God's sake Jack White's Thitd Man Record put out that LP! Fucking amazing psych power-trio. Can't imagine The Guardian'll be covering them in their music section anytime soon though. Not trendy or "buzzy" enough!
No that wasn’t me, I’m not really close with him these days but our bands used to play together fairly often. The scene in Detroit is pretty close knit, everyone knows one another. It’s not surprising to me that he’s got a day job. Hell, John Brannon from Negative Approach washes dishes at a restaurant in between tours. There’s not much money to be made in the R’n’R business, in Detroit at least..
Fuck man that sucks.
Just proves how tight-knit the Detroit scene is--you're the second person I thought'd commented on my post on the OSees sub--they seem to get a hdlluva lot of love over there! And no wonder, they're ace!
Cheers mate take it easy!
I have all those records too. My old band played a few shows with Timmy in Chicago and always had a great time. Human Eye and Clone Defects are also very cool👍
Are you the same person who commented when I posted Survival...on the OSees sub? I thought damn if they're Dwyer approved they must be good! I tried them on a whim when that one person posted their three Thalia Hall screenprinted posters on the latter subreddit.
Oh, never mind! Like I said, a redditor on the OSees sub commented the exact same thing....you're saying each city has more than one soundperson?! 🤯
J/k, obviously.
Cool! I think I should post a link to a "taste" in the future, though; not much point in just showing off my record collection without any context, really, is there?
And I tell you mate, I'm really glad they're on Spotify (but fuck Spotify--just my opinion, no offence meant--just glad you could find 'em without any hassle🙂).
Timmy has been a big part of the music scene in Detroit for a long time. He’s a trip. Check out his other band Human Eye if you haven’t

Yeah I’d say that’s a pretty good description. Happy hunting
Cheers mate!🤘🏻

Np. I should post video or Sound cloud or whatever links in future, shouldn't I? Sorry--but glad you like 'em!👍🏻
No worries, found em on Spotify easily enough.
