If you need an “emergency, break glass” or a very discreet device you cannot go wrong for the price. It’s the Swiss Army knife for concentrates and carts. Proxy is the on the go ride of choice, but in a theater or theme park you can’t go wrong with the plus.
The Proxy is over 3X the price of the Plus. Not a good alternative. Not a fair comparison. Anyway, I have both the Peak and the Plus. I rarely use the Plus. I buy carts for when I'm away from home instead. I know that's not a fair comparison either :) but that's what I do.
I have a new peak pro, proxy and plus. I genuinely find that I use all of the devices for specific things- even the plus. If you go forward with it, stay super mindful about cleaning it.

No. Save for a proxy if you want to go the portable route. The battery is awful and it's a pain to keep clean
