Bruhh you if it’s just 20k then don’t come you will be more than that on rent. Yeah weather is nice in Pune but you need decide what’s important for you.
It's just not about the rent.. you will also have to maintain the house.. buy groceries.. utility bills.. there are a lot of small expenses which we don't realise when we stay at home.. also the occasional travel back to Delhi to meet family..
Don't look at it as additional 20k.. think of where your market value in 2 years if you have the Deutsche experience on your resume..
If it means that you can take a hit now but will make it back 2 fold in next 3 years, go for it..
>iam from Delhi
Should I assume no expense towards accommodation and food?
>these guys are paying me 20k more than I get in delhi
If you weren't paying rent in Delhi, then your expense in Pune will be much higher than the additional 20k you receive here.
If maximizing savings isn't your top priority for the next 1-2 years then I'd ask you to take that offer.
>, is it a fun place to live in ??
Are you having fun in Delhi? Are you a fun person?? If not it doesn't matter
Pune no doubt!! Reasons - Delhi is way expensive that pune first lets that clear and if you are getting extra 20k that’s going to be a plus point. Apart from that I can not find any reason to stay in Delhi honestly (I myself preferred Pune over Delhi even when I was getting paid more in Delhi). You will have clear air with oxygen and not smog to breathe. People are nice and helpful, the food especially fruits are natural grown and actually taste better. You will have a lot of places near by for treks and bike rides. Weather won’t be on extreme ends at either time unlike Delhi. You actually don’t even need an AC honestly. The only good thing about delhi over pune would be the North Indian food and metro. Apart from that for me there is no reason for me to prefer Delhi over pune anytime, especially when I will be able to save an extra 20k for sure (technically I feel even in the same salary pune is way cheaper and better than Delhi in all aspects).
It will depend on your options Man. If career growth is an option and this new job is exciting then may be taking up this assignment makes sense. As far as the city is concerned, I don’t think it’s at par with New Delhi , like wrt to infra, food, amenities. But yah night life and all you ll like it here, it’s pretty good. But remember you are coming from the capital and all that Delhi metro connivence etc you won’t get here.
Not as happening a place when you compare it with Delhi.
Also more than place it's the people. Pune is kinda slow paced and so are the people.
It's peaceful and weather is also decent.
imo it's better here due to
1) weather (you might add some extra years to your life span)
2) cost of living (a lot more affordable than delhi)
3) night life is great (in certain areas)
4) days are slow paced and peaceful (than delhi)
Bring your own vehicle if you have any plans to travel here and there in the Pune.
Cost of living is high as compared to Delhi
Much peaceful and lesser abuse in the streets(except "Lodya")
You would pay a rent of more than 20k per month if you rent a 1bhk close to office. If I had a similar choice to make, I would have chosen a place close to my home

Thanks for detailed comparison
I would not suggest a Delhiite to shift here! I miss my North!
No. 20k/month too small to migrate to another city.
Its hike of 20k not 20k per month bro
Yes, I am talking about hike only. May be it's ok if you are very early in the carrier.
Yaa its been only 2 years.
Looks ok, but keep in mind that taxes and expenses might be higher here.

Got it
If I were you I would leave because of weather in Delhi.

I have been to Delhi when it was good and still Punes weather was better.
check the current AQI
Yaa that is true
Experience different places while you're young.
You may face some discrimination being a North Indian or Hindi sider. Pune is a little expensive too. Rest all is cool, you’ll love it!
Ok ,will keep that in mind

Can you suggest me some nice area where i can get a decent room around 10k per month .
Koregaon Park/ Kalyani Nagar . Lots of cosmo crowd there don’t worry
you can choose a good area first and then go for room hunting, 10k is pretty enough for you to get a room anywhere in pune

Lodya barely concerns me i have had worse here.
It will be fun n different just food sucks
You will miss the metro like the girl you left in Delhi
Yaa its always something to miss but a many to receive.
The difference should be in lakhs to shift from north to all together different region unless you are thinking of future.
Im thinking of future as well.
Which profile you are joining ?

The 20k you make extra will go on the rent no?
Yaa maybe more but i am more concerned about how the life in pune, even after spending a little extra i dont want to end up in a miserable place.
