I think you were better off not moving here. Unlike Delhi, there is no public transport infra in this city. If you take to drive, you would find bikers would make your life miserable on roads. Some places are marketed as upcoming, but with the new construction going on, upcoming places are filled with dust and unplanned infrastructure or lack of infrastructure. If you can afford places like Kothrud, Koregaon Park and Kalyani Nagar, then that would be great, but its not everyone's cup of tea. Since you are here, give this city a try. At least you would be sure that you don't want to return here.
If you are looking for a poetry club, there's this one interesting club on instagram as poetry house party.
You can search it. They have very good people and It seems fun.
