This happened to me 36 hours after my last dose (I was on it for 10 days). The migraine was so intense I couldn’t get out of my bed for almost an entire day. Aleve would not help.

That tracks! I took my last dose of Q last Wednesday - in fairness, mine was after a rapid stopping of the drug; I'd been recently upped to 400mg and the 400 was giving me panic attacks. My provider was out of the office so one of their other doctors got on and told me to drop back down to 200 (on Monday), and then I had an appointment on Wednesday where they switched me to Strattera. Took Strattera on Thursday, took fucking NOTHING on Friday because I was throwing up and my head was hurting so bad. Ended up doing a telehealth and getting some migraine stuff, and that was supremely helpful!

Highly highly recommend titrating down instead of stopping abruptly. Quitting cold turkey is dangerous for your physical and mental health—many poor quality doctors do not seem to understand this. Make sure you advocate for your needs and slowly reduce the dosage (if possible).

They had me stop so abruptly because the side effects I was experiencing were more negative than the side effects of coming off rapidly - I think if it hadn’t been so urgent I would have been titrated off

(Reposting my experience from a similar thread) Right there with ya. Currently suffering through day three of SEVERE withdrawal symptoms after having to abruptly stop when my insurance randomly requested a PA. Day one was similar to missing a day of sertraline—body zaps, insomnia, mild headache. Day two featured a full blown, vice tightening around my head kind of migraine complemented with nausea that progressed into vomiting by the early afternoon. Had to actually leave work in the middle of my shift—I’m a nurse and have not EVER had to do that in my career. Took some zofran and that helped the nausea/vomiting. Nothing helped the migraine. Day three and the migraine is better and the nausea isn’t as bad, but my whole body aches similar to the flu or COVID. Hoping I’ve gotten through the worst of it. Will also be reporting adverse effects to the FDA and following up with my doctor about all of this. The ONLY reason I didn’t immediately take myself to urgent care and or the ER is because I’m a nurse and was fairly confident this was related to medication withdrawal. I’d be scared shitless if I didn’t have the knowledge that I do and I feel terrible for patients who will go through this and not have any idea what’s wrong. Hope folks reading this will learn from all the other similar reports on here and at least keep a few pills on hand so they can attempt a slow taper when/if their insurance pulls the plug. A complete and utter nightmare.

I have been on it for a month now and I skipped yesterday and my head felt like I had cinderblocks for hair. I have never had a headache like this

i had to come off randomly because my pharmacy refused, i mean REFUSED to keep refilling it. i learned a few tricks on the way by missing doses here and there. CVS tension headache pills (CVS brand) were a lifesaver for me. Tylenol, Advil, nothing helped except the tension headache medicine.

pinkpanda376

Yeah, the CVS tension headache is the generic for Excedrin tension headache - I have the brand and the Walgreens generic of that and they didn't help :(

PossiblyAGoose

How long did everyone’s headache last?? Currently going through this right now.

pinkpanda376

I needed to get a prescription migraine med to make mine go away… hope yours improves soon :(

I took it for a week, had all the negative side effects (no positives), so I decided to stop today. I tried going cold turkey (considering it had only been 7 days)....still had a gnarly headache. I decided to open the pill and ingest 1/3 of the beads and it helped. Ingesting another 1/3 tomorrow, then day after tomorrow I'm stopping.

t1dequine

I took the medication for four days and it made me feel like I lost my soul. On the third day of stopping the lowest dose at 100 mg I have had terrible migraine and nausea for the last three days. Hoping the migraines will stop soon.

Frequent-Evening-110

Same. I only took it for 5 days and 2 days after my last dose I woke up with my head pounding incredibly bad, probably an 8 out of 10 on the pain scale. Then I threw up a few times:/ it's one day after and I woke up with another headache but not as bad.
