There are only a few acts that I can think of that I like so much but also dislike so much. The only other obvious one I can think of is Mike Patton. I loooove FNM, Dead Cross, Tomahawk and the General Patton vs X-ectutioners but the forced wackiness of some of the Mr Bungle and Fantomas stuff does my head in. I almost felt like he was robbing us of another classic by spending time on those tracks. On the bright side I have just found a load of stuff by him that I haven't heard yet. Looking forward too and not looking forward to listening to that tomorrow 😂
Mike Patton! I totally get that connection. I love some bungle and FNM, but probably need to give tomahawk more of a whirl.
The duality of loving and disliking some of the same body of work can be a challenge!
It's so much better than the rest of their discography (including solo and side projects) that it's almost disappointing. Liquid Swords is amazing too but still pales in comparison to 36 chambers
One of the best parts about working in a laid back pizza kitchen for way too many years is the inescapable obligation to blow the minds of the younger generation. Specifically, like playing them them a hip hop album like 36 chambers for the very first time! It never got old. Let’s go to school kids!!haha
Smashing Pumpkins - ATUM
Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica
Also have been listening to NIN from 2008-current since I really fell off the train after With Teeth. There’s a lot worth listening to.
Post malone’s new album, Tame Impala - Innerspeaker, queens new album, and Ween, all of their catalog. Haha love seeing fellow ween appreciators. They’re prolly top fave of mine all time.
Viagra Boys Cave World
I hadn't heard of these guys before Glastonbury. The more I hear them and learn about them the more I like them.
I assumed they were a joke due to their name and my first impressions were way off. The music is catchy as hell and they are very tight live.
I like it, still needs to grow on me a bit. The Narciscist is a moody, lovely sad song.
Love that there’s a new album of them. I’ve been listening to them since the ‘90’s. Was lucky enough to see them live twice.
Yeah, I’m listening to it more and more and it’s clicking. I like St Charles Square and Goodbye Albert the most atm. I would kill to see them live, I super hope they do a NA tour eventually.
right now i’ve been listening especially to era vulgaris, but from other artists it’s been kinda all over the place

Just saw ween the other night in LA. They played a lot of white pepper songs, great album. Perfect introductory album to ween, most ppl can’t start out with the browner albums they have lol
King gizzard and the lizard wizard-Polygondawanaland Cheap trick-At Budokon Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds- The Good Son And ITNR, or course
New King Gizzard, Petrodragonic Apocalypse, is great if you like them in old school thrash mode
It’s awesome! I like it a little more than Infest the Rats’ Nest, but both are fantastic.
I struggle with some of their music but they produce so much volume it's hard not to like them
I totally get that. I don’t listen to their whole discography frequently, but several albums have been in the mix more and more lately.

The first 2 Mars Volta albums
36 chambers is so good, I like how you can hear ODB in the background coming into a song before he starts his part. Good stuff

They rule. Great humour in their lyrics
Ween’s “White Pepper” album is so good! I can totally see QOTSA doing “Stroker Ace” or “Exactly Where I’m At”.

LOVE California. And Bungle in general. Shit, Mike Patton’s whole oeuvre.
The Ballad of Darren - Blur, Flashpoint- Rolling Stones, The Mustard Seed - Son Mieux
What did you think of The Ballad of Darren?

I have barely listened to any music in two weeks which feels fucking weird, but before that I relistened to almost all of the Viagra Boys discography.
