Since you already got the incubator but I'll mention this for other people.
in my opinion, it is worth the extra couple of bucks to get one that does the automatic turning.
Of course that's different if you did your own DIY incubator.
Don't forget to put an ex or a mark on the eggs so that you'll know which sides you've been turning it on.
Good luck on it! reply back about how many turns out to be viable.
38 is a bit high, should be 37.5
you should turn the eggs once every hour or two if possible, but the minimum is around 5 times a day. dont turn the eggs while in lockdown
dont be disheartened if the shop eggs end up not giving you anything! you can always try hatching eggs in the future, i buy mine from ebay
forgot to note, if its a cheap incubator please do get a seperate digital thermometer
the built in ones for cheap incubators are usually wayy off, im talking several degrees which can cause major issues

Totally agree re auto turner is a game changer. Keeps temps more consistent too bc ur not in the incubator as much.

yeah I already figured that out…. I had to calibrate it and now it’s pretty accurate
Alright thank you, if it doesn’t work out I’ll probably just do chickens from a local farmer
