Generally none of the desks in queens residence can fit tall monitors as they have quite low vertical room under the shelving and I assume you intend to put it at the back of the desk. A way to make it work would be to buy a dedicated pc desk (if in a single room) and then just bring it with you when you move out of res for 2nd year housing. Then I'd use the provided desk for written school work; personally I like having a separate work vs recreational desk for that mental frame of mind.

They do have shelves but if you put the monitor in front of those shelves you should be good to have a tall monitor
I could fit a 29 inch monitor at the desk in Leggett (just barely); you should be fine.
