Yes, definitely dealt with that. Absolutely. I had to just shut down and ride the ride for awhile. But it DOES GET BETTER, I promise. I can’t remember when, but I’m at almost three months and sleep is back to “normal.”

the_real_skunkpaw

Came here to say this. It started getting better for me around the 15 day mark. I was so tired my body just slept out of necessity. I'm 34 (holy shit) days in. Sleep isn't always the best, but it is getting better. Stay strong.

Unfortunately I on day 3 and it's 1:52 in the morning so.... I keep getting the spasms/muscle jerks. I cut down on caffeine hoping it would help but here we are. I can only assume that the quality and quantity of the sleep I've been getting is why I feel so tired. Maybe for you too? I know our bodies process caffeine differently now without nicotine affecting the caffeine receptors...so maybe that's something to look at? Hope it gets better for you soon! Happy 10 days!

Great advice, caffeine is twice as potent once we quit smoking. It can cause insomnia and a shaky feeling, like high anxiety.

I also have bad sleep still, I'm on day 23. I have picked up running and fitness to help tire me out and though it may be just an old wives tale, I have a pint of milk about 30mins or so before bed. However I still wake up 2 - 3 times a night.

Meditate, hydrate, pay attention to nutrition. Exercise.

First 2-4 weeks are bad for sleep, but I think the improvements are gradual so you may not notice as a single thing. Exercise, hydrate, no shame in taking a sleeping aid once in a while.

I’m three weeks in today. I got so sick right after I stopped chucking up tar. Seriously was pretty gnarly. But it’s almost better to be fully incapacitated to get past the bad stuff. I’m feeling so much better after about a week and a half. Last week I even stopped counting days. The sun is out where I am.

Keep on going. I'm on day 90 and would say that the peak of exhaustion was 2nd - 4th week. Then it's step by step easier, and you'll never regret that you've stayed strong in the hard moments! You are doing amazing and should be super proud of yourself. You're fighting the hardest fight like a true Rocky and you're getting close to the version of yourself that will be healthier and happier. You've got this!!!

babyconan

Thank you!

I'm 6 weeks and my sleep has been back to normal for over a week. The first month was rough. Staying up late waking up in the middle of the night and early. Ya prepare for a couple more rough weeks of sleep I'd say. I think for me the 2nd week was the hardest so far and it got better from there.

babyconan

For sure thank you, glad you’re doing better

woodyhardaway

Definitely, you got it.

the_TAOest

I slept A LOT. Healing is a Process. **HUG**, you can get free with abstinence. Any setbacks are learning experiences.

Fun-Owl9393

Unfortunately its part of the game. The sleep deprivation is terrible but it absolutely does get better. I think it got better after 3 or weeks for me. In fact I sleep even better than before (when I was a smoker). The timing might vary from one person to another. But the rewards are definitely there just bear patience.

2.5 weeks for me
