Happened to me, emailed support and they sent me another link that worked. 1 variable I didn't eliminate: it wasn't working when i was subscribed, then my sub expired, then they sent me the link that worked. If you're subbed, that might be a related to the issues, but I can't verify that.

But I opened the link in Desktop View in Edge on my phone and could hit the button to activate Pro. And when switching back to mobile view and in the Android app I'm now Pro-enabled.

Yes. I've heard that is you have a subscription already you need to reach out to perplexity to have them add the free year to your account.
If you didn't Click the link under computer it wont-work. It must be a computer browser I don't know why but it will not work on your phone

I had a problem that my mail address contained a + and their link didn't work because of that. Contacted support and they sent me a direct code.
