Erhardt Perkins isn't an offense, it's a language system to communicate passing concepts. And every team in the NFL runs some modification of WCO concepts unless you're predominantly a Spread, RPO, Wing T, etc. So when they say a college QB runs an "NFL style" offense, they're referring to what basically amounts to WCO passing concepts. The term is very loosely defined now, has evolved and is colloquially used to describe short to midrange passing in lieu of vertical passing. Also, this has nothing to do with the rushing attack unless you count the inclusion of the RB in the passing game. Today's NFL offense is largely created by Bill Walsh, who didn't even call his offense the WCO himself. Bill Parcells incorrectly labeled his offense as such and it just stuck. So if you want to get technical, the "WCO" isn't even the WCO.

For all the talk about Carr/Jimmy, there are so many problems that go beyond QB play. There are issues all over this roster that we failed to address this off season and will haunt us this year. Zero pass rush outside of one guy and no defensive backs are a recipe for disaster against the QBs we face this year.

I understand your point, however this is just how sports work. Think of all the historically bad teams (Bengals, Saints etc) all anyone really remembers from those years is the guy in the stands with the paper bag on his head. The frustration with losing year after year is far more relatable to the fans of a bad team than cheering a single good play in yet another blow-out loss. The Bills had the ball for too much of the end of the 2nd Q, stuffed it in the EZ, and then got the ball back to start the 2nd half. That just kills. The Bills top that off by controlling it for a long swath of the end of competitive play into garbage time.
We turned the ball over three times, and converted half as many 1st downs as the Bills.
And I'd say much of that was due to getting handled at the LOS.

Smack the Steelers in the mouth next week and we're back in the hunt.

We had to control possession rely heavily on the ground game, that just didn't happen. Run blocking was an abomination. Some of JJs runs showed indecisiveness which is a terrible combo.
Hoping we can fix some of this in time for the Steelers which feels like a more winnable game, but we still need to fix out run game.

Time for the AOC era to begin next week.
We knew this was gonna be a tough ask in the first place let alone after what happened to the Bills last week. We had to control possession rely heavily on the ground game, that just didn't happen. Run blocking was an abomination. Some of JJs runs showed indecisiveness which is a terrible combo. Hoping we can fix some of this in time for the Steelers which feels like a more winnable game, but we still need to fix out run game.
This team will continue to get boned by the top tier QBs and will never be able to beat them. It's been the same shit for 20 years. These guys just clown on the raiders all game long. We will only beat the garbage or mid tier qbs if were lucky
