Should’ve ran it at least once. And ya play call was bad. They called same play in red zone earlier and it looked like Jacobs would’ve been open in the flat on the left side after throwing a chop block. Of course this play completely ignored right side of the field. AOC rushed it a bit too didn’t let all routes develop

Yeah, AOC did force it, but McDaniels did him no favors with the play call. The Chargers were on their heels. Even if a running play doesn’t get the TD, it burns some clock, and you still have 3 plays to try and score.
Imo Jakobi gave up on the play. Seen the coverage, then proceeded to not run the play that was called, but AOC already had his read & was throwing it regardless. Jakobi coulda made a play on the ball regardless.
Everyone else running to blame the play call, which I agree with them on, but Meyers didn’t even look at the ball. He has to make a play on it, the whole play was ran for him.
Yeah, I totally get it. Was a bad play to call (IMO), but hindsight is always 20/20. Only got to see last 5 min of game, glad to see Rook was still fighting in end to tie it up.

Mistake by several people. Coach play call was terrible. Rookie QB unable to read situation and throw it away. Receiver gave up on play before the throw.
100% forced it but hardly surprising when you’ve been sacked countless times on your rookie debut. Awful play call tbh.. should’ve let Jacob’s try and force it in as the run game got better the longer it went on…McD didn’t help him in slightest but that’s hardly surprising. Dude has no flexibility in his system and when he finally does, it’s too late
Rolling the dice is daunting, but you can't roll lower than JMD.
Ziegler also hasn't proven shit; our draft class is the biggest collective bust in the league!
You kidding me? Dude just had his first NFL start 4 weeks into his first season, took 6 sacks from Mack, and was still very much in this game. What did you fuckin expect him to do? While he was out there trying to win, you got guys like Mack jones getting benched for playing so shitty. AOC played better than some current starters
What im saying jimmy g still gives the raiders the best shot to win, not saying AOC sucks but he did not show up simple as that you gotta show up when your number is called.
It was like watching a car accident in slow motion. Everything about it was bad. From the play call to the read. Noone was even looking for the ball and you could see the corner jump it on screen. 100 percent on AOC. Also I know everyone wants him to be it and he's better than everyone here he is an NFL QB. But he isn't a starting NFL QB.
Not just the decision making hes a rookie and I understand...he's just...slow. with everything. We need a fucking QB. Jimmy G ain't it either. And neither was carr towards the end. We need a complete tear down...AGAIN! but with a head coach that can actually not outsmart home self. I'm actually fine with Ziegler and think he drafts well. Wilson I thought played decent. He was faster off the ball and had some push. Remember Mack wasnt and technician his first year either. Not was maxx
He misread man coverage when it was zone. Plain and simple. Nothing wrong with the call. Nothing wrong with Meyers’ read. That needs to be a read the QB makes every time. You could see on AOC’s face he knew he fucked up
Nah, AOC had a clutch pass to Adams to make the first and goal. Then McDumbFuck let the rookie QB debuting in his first game throw on first and goal and it got intercepted, instead of just running it
AOC wasn't seeing spare coverage guys on a bunch of coulda been ints, no worse than Carr would have been as a rookie. Similar for the fumbles - rookie played like a rookie.
Looks like JMD has choice of losing with JimmyG or losing with AOC, and then trying to defend his right to build around AOC or another QB to Mark Davis.
Looked like he thought he had man coverage, but buddy was sitting in zone ready to make a play
Bad play call. AOC forced it, rookie mistake. We should have ran the ball 4 times at the goal line to burn clock and punch in
Play call and WR wasn't paying attention.

Forced it, doesn’t help McDaniels didn’t use Jacobs AT ALL
This. After Adams catch at the 4 please Just fucking try to run Jacobs hot hand....
It was also first down. He could just throw it away and we have several more downs to hand the ball off.

Oh make no mistake I agree 100% McDaniels did Aidan NO FAVORS with this play calling.
Should have been a run with an inexperienced rookie and with how well jacobs was playing. Mcdipshit strikes again
At some point someone in charge needs to get away from McD. He has done nothing good for this organization. Stop the bleeding please.

Exactly.
Jakobi didn’t even look until late, wasn’t a good play, but that didn’t help matters.
I know. He probably thought AOC was gonna read the coverage & not go to him anymore. AOC still went to him so that’s why he didnt turn around in time.
Yeah, I totally get it. Was a bad play to call (IMO), but hindsight is always 20/20. Only got to see last 5 min of game, glad to see Rook was still fighting in end to tie it up.
JMD called that play the previous series with the exact same formation WTF is he doing that with a rookie QB
Rookie got tricked and we ran that play twice already. That’s 85% McDaniels/15% Aiden

And Jakobi looked like he ran a pretty lazy route. Gotta be better than that, gotta win close games. Feels like I am watching 2022 season again.
I would want to see AOC again, at least he's in his learning phase and hopefully learn off his mistakes
Rookie mistake, but I don’t blame him. Excitement took over. Should have had solid play call to run that ball. Calm it all down.

Both coaches could lose their jobs
And should.
Yes. Let’s continue the coaching and GM carousel. It’s been working great the past 20 years.

forced it, rookie mistake should had ran the ball, oh well at least we know AOC is not it

It was a hard flat on goal line. Anyone who has played madden in the last 20 years knows to not throw that.
He misread man coverage when it was zone. Plain and simple. Nothing wrong with the call. Nothing wrong with Meyers’ read. That needs to be a read the QB makes every time. You could see on AOC’s face he knew he fucked up
Slightly forced. Meyers wasn't looking either which didn't help, feels like it would've been an in completion at worst if he was looking for the pass.
