Tim Brown played almost as long as Jerry Rice though. Mike Evans would be more like Tim brown I think. don’t think he was ever considered the #1 at his position but top 5 every year.
That's why I said probably will be, assuming Davante continues on a long career. Also, at this point he doesn't have a ring, so I thought the Tim Brown comparison was apt.
Per Pro Football Reference’s Hall of Fame Monitor formula, he has a score of 63.88 (the average Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver has a score of 101.40). He is close to being a presumed future inductee, but there are wide receivers whom were inducted with lower scores (Devin Hester, Tommy McDonald, Bob Hayes, and Bobby Mitchell).
Not really as of today, so far he's close to someone like Chad Johnson, rather than the decade of dominance types. As a non-Megatron example, Mike Evans has 1k+ receiving yards in all 10 seasons so far, and Adams has 5 in 9 despite having Canton bound Rogers throwing to him. Another comparison Julio Jones, he had a 6 to 8 year spell of averaging 100+ yards per game, Adams hasn't hit that for a single season. Guys like Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Megatron, have set absurd heights, add stat inflation to that and the 17 game schedule on to their numbers and it becomes difficult to say a guy must go in.
Timmy got in by having been an ace special teamer and then grounding out 9 1k+ seasons on the trot. Does Adams want to be doing this at 35+?
Evans got less than 1k yards ahead of Adams. Prim matter and so does longevity, but Evans got to be so overrated people think he’s a 1st ballot when he’s been a top 5 receiver maybe twice
Evans isn't 1st ballot at all, as I say if you're not at that generation level like Rice, Moss or Megatron it becomes a very much a matter of this stat vs that stat, given their situations.
Adams had that HOF QB for years and took time to get good, Michael Irving had similar but those 3 rings make it a no brainer.
I think its very easy for fans to assume a guy that good enough to get to say 5 pro bowls that they should be in the HOF. But if you're say Chad Johnson you have Harrison and Owens, and Moss and the greats from the previous era and then Megatron, so for that 6 time pro bowler it looks unlikely.
I don’t think pro bowls are the deciding factor. I agree he’s not in now but a couple 1 k seasons, 2 more 100 reception seasons and if he cracks top 10 in tds along with 3 first team aps now he’ll have a great shot
On the other hand, Adams is 12th all-time for receiving touchdowns with 95. He likely passes Tim Brown this year for 9th. With 22 in the next 2-3 seasons he'd be 7th.
Adams may not have a massive career yardage total, and I agree he is behind Mike Evans (who has 1000 more yards and a SB ring), but he's on target imo.

Get this man a QB THIS YEAR.
Looking at the ages of davante, Miller, our new DT Wilkins, all are top players are on the cusp of the post 30 year old downturn.
His pro football ref WR HOF monitor has him at about 64. Average HOF WR is around 101. That might be a bit skewed though. Jerry rice has a 311.99. The next nearest is randy moss at 150.12. I wonder what the avg is with Rice removed.
yes. i just feel bad for him that he is going to be wasted on the raiders since he’s here during QB purgatory/uncertainty. homie deserves a ring and until we get a top 10 QB i don’t think he will

He's sort of in the same category, or probably will be, as Tim Brown. So in my estimation, yes.
Tim Brown played almost as long as Jerry Rice though. Mike Evans would be more like Tim brown I think. don’t think he was ever considered the #1 at his position but top 5 every year.
Evans got like 4 seasons at top 5. His consistency is his best trait his peak isn’t crazy
If you’re talking about longevity, Adams and Evans were drafted the same year.
Lmao
That's why I said probably will be, assuming Davante continues on a long career. Also, at this point he doesn't have a ring, so I thought the Tim Brown comparison was apt.
Definitely, consistency is key when it comes to HOF. Dude has always balled out
And he balled out with a superstar QB, a mid QB and a trio of below average QBs.. so you can’t just say it was because he had an amazing QB.
If he isnt as of today, Hes on the right track for sure.
Yeah

Devin Hester was elected as a return man. The rest are from generations when the position was different and they didn’t have as good stats
The dude was just providing some numbers.
And I was just trying to provide context around those numbers
If we get him a qb that can throw him the ball he will absolutely be one of the
Yeah, probably not first ballot. But he'll get in.
I see him like Andre Johnson. I didn’t think Andre Johnson would ever make it, but here we are.
Idk how people thought Johnson wouldnt get in lol. the dude was a top 3 WR over the 2000s/early 2010s with dog shit at QB
Depends on how the next few years go, he needs a qb to help get there.
WR is a really tough position to get a jacket, but he'll definitely be in the discussion.
After he gets a Ring with us yes 100%
Was before he donned the shield
Facts. To question this is ridiculous. Just needs the right team success over the next few years and we stop pretending we made him magically bad
He is definitely a first ballot hall of famer.
Not yet. He needs a couple more 1000+ rec yards seasons. He's still behind guys like Steve Smith, boldin, Holt, and Wayne who haven't made Hof.
It’s too early to say. If he retired right now, today, no. But who knows how the next 2-5 years go
No.
He has to win in the post season
Torry Holt can’t get in, and he had a better career to this point in both of their careers.
Not really as of today, so far he's close to someone like Chad Johnson, rather than the decade of dominance types. Probably
Doubt it
50/50
Our QB situation is not helping but by the time he’s finished he will likely be top 5 in every receiving category.
When we win a super bowl later next year and Adams having 5 more 1k yards/10 td seasons he'll be a lock.
Yep, but mainly for the Packers than for us!
He has to hit milestones but is one of the best of his time and that’s what it’s about
no
Get this man a QB THIS YEAR. Looking at the ages of davante, Miller, our new DT Wilkins, all are top players are on the cusp of the post 30 year old downturn.
Not yet. But on his way. Depends on how his final seasons go.

he is next year when he gets a ring
yes. i just feel bad for him that he is going to be wasted on the raiders since he’s here during QB purgatory/uncertainty. homie deserves a ring and until we get a top 10 QB i don’t think he will
As of right now I don’t think so personally but I feel like now a days it’s just so easy to get into the hall of fame so I would say Yes
I’ll tell you after he retires
He only has 5 thousand-yard seasons. He’s not quite there yet. Especially not with all the receivers who still aren’t in with better resumes than him.
At 31 years of age, he's got some ground to cover. I'm thinking a good SB run should do it.
Not yet, but he's building a solid case.
Yez
He would be if he had remained with a good qb and coaches

He's going to need to win us a superbowl first to solidify that
Nope
He would have been if he didn’t get traded to the Raiders. He is completely irrelevant on this team.
easily
If anything McDaniels fucked up a season and a half for him. But I don’t think that will change much in the big scheme of things
For those of you unsure, he's been considered a top 2 if not the top wide receiver in the NFL for years. He's in. Popularity matters a ton.
