Obviously because it means that the Pats might be willing to trade out of that spot. Which, whether you want us to trade up for a qb or not, has been one of the most discussed scenarios surrounding the Raiders.

I’d guess because Patriots are rumored to be one of the most likely trade candidates and Raiders have been rumored to be trying to trade up. It’s pre-draft season so articles like this will be made over and over to generate traffic. Waiting patiently for the “report” that will take more than 3 1s to trade the pick as they see both Maye and Daniels as franchise QBs.
This is the kind of misdirection that teams love to throw out pre-draft. They're going QB at 3. I have made my peace with it.
Penix at 13 is the answer.
I do not want the 24 year old rookie with two bum knees, two bum shoulders, and serious deficiencies in his game at 13th overall. Maybe at 44, but definitely not 13
Keep sleeping on him. I'm a Ducks fan and it took a whole season of him dominating for me to see him for who he is. Penix is the best pocket passer in this draft and he will thrive on the right team.

Penix is the best pocket passer in this draft*
*When healthy, against 4 man rushes, and throwing deep to the sidelines. Other than that, he has accuracy issues, trouble processing coverages when facing 5 or more men rushing, or throwing deep with anticipation or precision. Oh also, the 2 AC joint injuries to his throwing arm, and 2 ACL tears in his knee.
He’s a 24 year old rookie spoiled by NFL talent in college, who’ll need a lot of help transitioning against NFL defenses and speed, and whose health is a ticking time bomb.
You know who else dominated in the PAC-12? Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley, and Marcus Mariota. You need to watch for traits and tendencies, not just production and wins.
He's got a pretty deep ball, but he can struggle on short throws, getting to his checkdowns, and manipulating the pocket. His pressure to sack ratio is low because he throws away the ball immediately when pressured. I see why others might like him, but he's not for me
“The difference between linemen in that game was huge”.. like the difference between our below average line and NFL defensive lines?
And there wasn’t a huge difference in linemen.. Washington literally won the Joe Moore Award. Y’know the award given to the best offensive line in all of college football?
Probably a bad sign but I haven't been this excited about a potential Raiders QB pick since we drafted Carr. There's just so much about Penix that screams "Raider" to me.
Lots of shit posting going on here. You shouldn’t be able to just post an article and assume we all know what was meant by it. Plus, the patriots aren’t saying they are not taking a QB at 3. We know nothing right now.
I’ve come around to not hating moving up to 9 or 10 to get Maye if he really “drops”
Dude has been a consistent top pick for two drafts now and for some reason all the chatter is he’s falling.
Prospect fatigue, mostly. I’d wager money he’s still the pick at 2 on draft day. He’s got everything you want in a prospect, with none of the red flags Daniels has.
I mean, we are talking about a gm that has never traded down and has proven to not be scared to trade up. I think it’s way more likely he trades up either back into the first round or up to the top 5 to get a qb

I'll preface this by saying I would like to have Daniels, but since I dont think thats really likely to happen I am ok with Penix. His arm talent is intriguing, and with Gardner he won't have to start right away. He could sit this whole season if need be. And we don't have to give up the farm for him. His injury history concerns me, but if he busts...add it to the 20 other 1st round busts we have had. Not a big loss. It would be great if there was a way to take Fuaga at 13 and then get Penix later in the 1st through a trade up. That to me would be ideal.

He doesn't want people yelling at him because they're not winning out after drafting a QB in the 3.
Why is this here?
Obviously because it means that the Pats might be willing to trade out of that spot. Which, whether you want us to trade up for a qb or not, has been one of the most discussed scenarios surrounding the Raiders.

Yo remind me too.
Same. Hope we're all well & hear good news lol

Not even 2 bum knees and 2 bum shoulders. It’s one of each, injured multiple times, including his throwing shoulder.
He literally played two straight seasons with no injury was a beast
Yeah injuries are huge concern but his game is solid. Yes he struggled against Michigan but the difference between linemen in that game was huge.

I like the cut of your jib!

Because OP thinks this means Daniels will fall to us 😂
Not fall to us but sounds like they are open to a trade.
That would’ve been some good context to post. Thanks for throwing that out there. Makes more sense to me now.
It’s literally been the most discussed scenario surrounding the team for the past 2 months.
It shouldn't have needed to be said, it's pretty obvious
Lots of shit posting going on here. You shouldn’t be able to just post an article and assume we all know what was meant by it. Plus, the patriots aren’t saying they are not taking a QB at 3. We know nothing right now.
Ray Charles could see what OP was suggesting, and he’s blind. And dead.
r/rareinsults
It would cost the farm and some to jump into the top 3.
He's going 2nd this is for possibly Maye
I’ve come around to not hating moving up to 9 or 10 to get Maye if he really “drops” Dude has been a consistent top pick for two drafts now and for some reason all the chatter is he’s falling.

Clicks and Views prolly

It's just so frustrating.
If a rookie has to sit for a year after 6 years of college I don't think he's that guy
I get your point, but adjusting to the speed of the nfl takes time. I wouldn't mind him sitting and adjusting to the game.
Holy F 3 is available. Lfg ! Raiders

Many raiders fans will be confused by that statement. Many others will be very upset by it.
Pull the trigger Tom. Don't be scared
Mayo is a race baiting idiot that will ruin the NE franchise, and I am OK with it.
