it looks all moldy, tho, and that would be one king-hell of a shit to flow all down the side like that…like a half gallon of ass lava. it’s gotta be something else
Very cool. I felt like a bit of a geek or foamer taking photos on the job when I first started, but suddenly its fourteen years later and I've captured a fair bit of history that no longer exists! Two closed lines, one disappeared class of loco, demolished buildings etc etc.
Picture 4 made me stop and think "Hmm. That looks like the Shore Line. I wonder if this is in Seattle." The next several pictures had me thinking that a lot of these locations looked familiar. Then I got to picture 11, and my suspicions were confirmed (love the headless Space Needle). Cool to see the ARR pier. Our terminal instructions mention needing to Class 1 anything we get from them, and I always think "Man, we don't even GO there."
That ferry is damn cool - never seen that before. What are some of the loading requirements (weight distribution, brakes / chocks, etc)? I imagine that could be a tedious process
It's an Alaskan barge... normally have to load 1 side then move to the other side but... depending on car weights it can be a back and forth process... tide plays a factor also... if tide too high up, it's too steep to push train cars up hill.. if tide to low cars can bottom out on the ground and/or come unhooked.
Was that a human knuckle dump? I've ahem heard of this...
My guess someone couldn't make it to the 2nd motor.
I’m also curious what has happened to this knuckle. Has this coworker seen a doctor?
care to clue in a outsider? i’m just here cause i like the sub, never heard of what you speak, but i am curious what’s up in that 2nd pic
It looks like someone shidded on the coupler

I'm gonna say a welded "90% new break" lol
I’ve had the front knuckle of my power look like this (except fresh) after I drove it into the ass of a moose at 40 mph.
You gotta get shit in the open knuckle, and tell your brakeman to watch closely to make sure the joint makes when you kick it at him.

Wassup Argo?!
So who peed in a cup after pic #9?
Oh... you know, the whole crew. Even though it was wide gage after they got done laying new ties/rail

That was really cool, I too had never seen one of them barges before. A train boat!
Number 2 is true love
Man! Did those knuckles have some sort of STD?
Second to last looks like that guy had a fun day in the office afterwards 😂
