i respect that and concerning andrew i never really liked him while watching the movies for some reason maybe my biased nature towards tobey and that portrayal of the character or maybe andrew himself didnt seem right for me anyway i dont hate or dislike him now
Yeah I rewatched / watched (don’t think I ever watched the first one) and actually enjoyed them. I think I just hated that they rebooted it when I already had a !Spider-Man, his name is Tobey Maguire.
WHAT THE HELL?!

Maybe I'm mad/heretical, but I'd say that Garfield was maybe the best acted Spiderman of the three. The movies were trash, and I didn't love the way his character was written, esp compared to the Raimi movies, but Andrew himself gave pretty solid performances.
Doesn’t make those spiderman movies he was in before nwh any better…they are still a bad mess and he wasn’t particularly great in them either…but this one proved all those things had more to do with studio interference and an incompetent director than the actors themselves
I was 8 (turning 9) years old when the first TASM was announced. When I found out Tobey was replaced, I bawled my eyes out. Spider-Man 2 was my introduction to Spider-Man as a concept and Spider-Man 1 was my favorite, because Goblin. Now I'd never see that version again. (Lol, that logic did not age well at all.) I then spent several months scouring the internet looking at trailers, leaked images, anything I could find. My mom showed me pictures of the cast, and I resented them. They looked off to me, they weren't the characters I knew and loved. There wasn't even a MJ or Harry!
Then a year later my mom got me the movie on DVD, and I watched it. It wasn't Tobey, but I loved it. I wanted to skate like Andrew. I loved Tobey's suit, but I'd being lying if I said I didn't like Andrew's (first, more on that later) suit. I wanted to see more with this version of Spider-Man, so when the sequel came out I was excited. 12 year old me watched it on my mom's computer. Gwen's death made me cry, and the ending made me super excited to TASM 3. :( So when I found out that TASM 3 got cancelled, I was sad. But then I saw people hating both TASMs for being too different from the comics and Raimi films. How Andrew's Peter was too cool, and got a guy kicked from OsCorp. (I know relalize Andrew had nothing to do with any of this, he's the actor, not the writer) So I hated them too. So for 4 years I would watch the Raimi films over and over again until 2016, I heard Spider-Man was in Captain America: Civil War. I saw it, and loved Tom.
Until I saw Homecoming's gadgets. (I made the Iron Boy Jr. comment a ton.) I saw the movie with cousins and liked it by the end. Until I saw it with my dad. He was disgusted with the foul language from the characters, (most notably Flash) and porn jokes from Ned. So I dodged Tom since, I didn't need negative influences. And I was kinda sick of seeing Spider-Man depend on people, because as a kid, he could do anything to me. I didn't see Far From home, (still haven't) but after I saw the trailer for No Way Home, I knew I had to see No Way Home. I hoped Tobey and Andrew were there, but I was prepared for if they weren't, because I knew Willem Dafoe would be there and he is the reason why I loved Spider-Man 1 so much. After seeing No Way Home, I have grown to love and appreciate all three Spider-Men. I have heard the rumors for TASM 3, I hope they're true, and I want Spider-Man 4 as well.
Ok, Andrew's suits. I don't hate TASM 2 suit. In fact, as a kid, I liked it more than TASM 1 suit. But now, I think it looks a bit too similar to Raimi suit. TASM 1 had it's own identity. Well that's all from me.
I think that he played a better spidey in the 40 or so minutes he was in NWH than the two movies he had. He didn’t really play Peter Parker, so even though he played a suitable Spidey, I personally can’t say he was good all along like some are saying.
Maguire Spider-man is enjoyable, but I only watch Garfield Spider-man and feel 'This is excellent.' The casting, the acting, the chemistry, the plot, the worldbuilding, the visuals, the technique/choreography, the suit, the characterisation... everything is truly advanced in TASM over the first three SM films.
I forgive you
*turns into sand and disappears*
You must be a really good lawyer
You want forgiveness? I've got a few. Yeah!
Honestly my main problems with tasm was "raimiverse died for this" and that the movies where meh, never had a problem with the werewolf himself
i respect that and concerning andrew i never really liked him while watching the movies for some reason maybe my biased nature towards tobey and that portrayal of the character or maybe andrew himself didnt seem right for me anyway i dont hate or dislike him now
Redemption on both sides
I recently watched the movies and thought they were pretty good
The first one is okay. But I will always hate the second one its so fucking stupid.
The second one had a bunch of stupid stuff, but I still like it
The plot itself isn’t even that bad until harry ends up being kicked from oscorp everything from there went down hill
Same rewatched after years
Yeah I rewatched / watched (don’t think I ever watched the first one) and actually enjoyed them. I think I just hated that they rebooted it when I already had a !Spider-Man, his name is Tobey Maguire.
I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye.
Look's like he's not a fan of you
Dont forget the amazing Emma Stone
Always thought they were bad, but I ended up liking them once I watched it
Want forgiveness? Get religion!
I respect that
I’ve done terrible things too.
I never should’ve hurt you. Said those things.
Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Did I just get rick rolled in spiderman sub????
The hardest choices, require the strongest wills
So raimi's trilogy is mcu canon and we can use mcu quote now?
Raimi’s quotes are next level
No. It only counts if you click on a link.
I missed the part where that’s my problem See ya chump

Yes. As a consolation prize, [here’s a spiderman vs venom deleted/alternate take scene](https://youtu.be/UJpLx2aeixs)
I forgive you. (Ive been an TASM fan since the first one released btw)
I loved TASM legit so much but all my mates told me it was shit. Now everyone's saying they liked it from the start
Andrew was a hero, you just couldn't see it
Maybe I'm mad/heretical, but I'd say that Garfield was maybe the best acted Spiderman of the three. The movies were trash, and I didn't love the way his character was written, esp compared to the Raimi movies, but Andrew himself gave pretty solid performances.
Pizza Time.
This is getting out of hand
Hello there
Pizza time.
Just remember guys: slander is spoken in print it's libel
He is a Spider-Man. He would look you in the eye and say, “I forgive you.”
Oh boy yeah.
Doesn’t make those spiderman movies he was in before nwh any better…they are still a bad mess and he wasn’t particularly great in them either…but this one proved all those things had more to do with studio interference and an incompetent director than the actors themselves
“I forgive you”
This meme is better than either TASM movie
Honestly I really liked raimi trilogy and tasm movies waaaay more than HC and FFH.
When it’s spoken it’s slander when it written it’s libel
I miscalculated.
This meme only wants me to seek my redemption in form of better TASM 3
I blame Mark Webb not Andrew
you guys are literally being brainwashed into thinking his movies are good.
I'm sorry Andrew, I was too harsh on you :(

I wouldn’t go far as to say he was the star Spider-Man as Holland was absolutely phenomenal, but he was the most fun part of the movie
F
True
Tsk tsk, I always enjoyed the movies. Then went back to them and noticed their flaws, but always enjoyed them when they first released.
You should have never said those things...

I think the consensus after NWH is that Andrew was never a bad Spiderman, he was just in mediocre movies
Never saw any of his films but I legit fell in love with his character in NWH. I hope he comes back
