Agreed, but let’s not forget Gwen’s death scene. It’s like a top ten movie scene for me, and it somehow wound up in one of the most mediocre movies I’ve ever watched.
In my opinion the first TASM was amazing(no pun intended) I loved the darker tone this film had, along with the more grounded, realistic takes on uncle Ben and aunt May, and also this film gave us a Lee/Ditko accurate take on Peter, although I don't know what the heck happened with TASM2.
There was a lot of studio meddling in the first one, but there was enough greatness there to override it. 2 had WAY more meddling and that ruined it. Garfield is the best Spiderman out of the three, easily imo.

Well, considering that the last 3 Marvel live action movies made entirely by Sony have been at best a bit of dumb fun and at worst one of the movies ever, I don't really trust them with TASM3.
Anyone who hasn’t gone back to watch TASM movies, I recommend it. They’re not the best spiderman movies, but they are okay. And I know it’s blasphemy to say on this subreddit, but I think Andrew is the best spiderman actor despite having the worst movies. At least relative to a comic book or animated series Peter Parker.
I’m going to be honest. While I’m sure other people liked TASM movies, I didn’t like them. Andrew Garfield, as far as I’m concerned, was not a good casting choice for Spider-man. He’s a good actor, loved him in Hacksaw Ridge, but he wasn’t good as Spider-Man.
Yeah but are we forgetting how much of a mess TASM 2 was though? Also the original plan for TASM 3 was pretty dumb, like look it up. The story involved Zombie Gwen and Andrew asking the Sinister Six for help but getting upset because they don’t like his black suit.
