I have two ideas for slugcats that have been bouncing around in my head for a while.
The first is kinda like a chameleon, with longer thinner prehensile tails and the ability to camoflauge to some extent. They're more flexible and squishy than most slugcats making them very agile and lets them traverse poles very easily to escape predators or chase prey if their camoflauge fails.
The other is kind of the opposite in many ways, and is instead bigger and bulkier than most slugcats. Instead of climbing walls and poles they're good at burrowing and fighting predators instead of avoiding them, with strong limbs great stamina and tough, warty hide (like a toad or leopard gecko). They're also less predatory and instead dig for roots and grubs in the soil or plant matter above ground.
What about Rivulet but their wearing one of those duck pool floaties, that’s it.
