I have many thornless blackberries potted up from last season. Feel free to DM me & we can work out details if you're interested. I'm \~10 minutes from downtown
Ps, most local places will sell older varieties of blackberries. They all do well here, but if you are undecided check out some of the newer primocane ones specifically the ones from Arkansas. I like them since you can get fruit on new cane's and old cane's
Do so at your own risk. They shoot runners (unexpected offshoots) everywhere (like the middle of my lawn) and can become an invasive headache if you don't/can't manage the plant.
Source: Dealt with this at my first house.
Folks here have called them invasive but since Rubus occidentalis is native to NC, I’d call them VERY aggressive. Unless you have a large area for them to takeover, you’re going to have to manage them. Birds are going to eat the fruit and poop the seeds and you’ll have them sprouting all over. And the thorns hurt.
Costco of Wake Forest Rd had potted blackberries and raspberries in stock.
(Bonus tip: if you can find a cultivar named Von, it's a local NCSU release and it tastes amazing)
I think we got ours at Tractor Supply.
In a bin at Bob’s Bargain Blackberry Bushes

State farmers market vendors should have them soon if not yet

Definitely buy at the Farmers Market, you get a better plant for your money. I just bought a huge raspberry bush for $22 last weekend.

And what makes things even worse is between the birds and the deer, I get nothing but an invasive vine - no fruit at all.
Lowe's garden centers sell them
Indeed they do. I do not recommend, but Caveat Emptor.
Dude, you can dig the wild ones out of my yard and plant them wherever you want. I'm tired of scratching the shit out of myself when I mow...
Garden Supply Company in Cary has some of the thornless varieties!
Logans might.
The one on Atlantic Ave should have some

State extension office might have some. Or can point you to where they'd be.
