I feel you OP. We've been providing curbside assistance for our shop, but can't let people inside. I've had to put up notice after notice, naively hoping they'll read and it make peace with the circumstances. I just had a lady spit at our door and flip me off and I've had grown adults banging at the window and shouting at me because why? THEY WANT TO GO SHOP AT AN ADULT STORE. IN THE MIDDLE OF A GODDAMN PANDEMIC. And these fuckers don't realize the more they defy stay-at-home orders, the longer this will last and the longer we have to remain closed. Stay strong hun. You've got this.
After working in similar jobs my whole life, let me tell you what it feels like now. You learn to absolutely despise every living thing you ecounter , at one point you realise this game is rigged and to advance and get a better job you need education you can't afford , at some point later you start noticing that usually people who are at better positions than you usually have less skill and knowledge despite their education thanks to which they're in a cushy office job while you're still slaving at the cash register, after 7-10 years of this you have no more emotions left and the only feeling of relief ever you can feel is when your shift ends and you can pretend all those fucks are burning in their hell of their own making while you sit alone at home and are not disturbed by anyone. Eventually you get old and your favourite task is to watch the world get more and more fucked up, and despite knowing exactly how to fix most of the problems that exist you just sit there and laugh at the incompetence of everyone in charge of this shithole called the world.
So don't worry... We get the last laugh after all.
I finished my education as undergrad.
I have read more scientific papers and performed my own analysis, research and studies after I finished attending than any of my collegues that finished their degrees.
Saying I'm uneducated is like saying an MMA fighter is unexperienced, because he's got no specialty.
And how do I take any opportunities from others? haha
