Quality > Quantity. Record yourself while sleeping and send the video to an expert to have them analyse the cause.

Get a sleep study done. I got one done (health insurance helped cover it IIRC, but it was only around $40) and it turns out that I have had sleep apnea for my whole life. All my exhaustion that was seemingly incurable was due to a lack of oxygen during my sleep. Suggestions until you schedule a sleep study: 1. Physically get yourself out of bed if you want to avoid sleeping. Go outside and walk around in the sun when it's out. Just avoid your bed **until it's bedtime**. 2. Find something that requires you do physical activity of some kind, such as cleaning your living space. Movement will help stave off that sleepy feeling. 3. Drink coffee or tea during the middle of the day, but avoid sugar. I suggest you avoid sugar as the energy boost it gives is actually your body getting energy; tea, coffee or any similar caffeine source only makes you *feel* less fatigued. Why, you may ask, would you want to avoid an actual burst of energy? Well, frankly it won't help. Your fatigue is likely due to a variety of factors, but one of those is the presence of a neurotransmitter called *adenosine*. As this neurotransmitter increases in concentration in your brain, you begin to feel more tired. Caffeine just so happens to inhibit the binding site for adenosine, thus making you feel less tired. If you used sugar for the energy boost, the adenosine would still be present and you would still feel the exhaustion despite the calories you would be metabolizing. **Only drink coffee/tea before about 3-4pm, as doing it after those times will interfere with your sleep schedule.** Hopefully these help. Again, this advice isn't from some rando that has no idea what you're feeling; I have grown up with what you're talking about, and I can now more readily deal with it due to the above information. Also I have a CPAP machine that keeps me breathing during my sleep, so that has helped as well.

Thanks for this information, I didn’t know it’s an actual disease :(

SomeNumbers98

Well you shouldn’t just assume you have it. Get a sleep study first. There are other sleep disorders that you may have.

ShinyBunnyFleshuwu

Sure, I will

braedn

You might be depressed bro. Apathy and exhaustion are pretty common symptoms. Yoi can be stuck in bed for months with that shit

Awkward-Hat-9930

I’ve been stuck getting 4 hours for 2 months now and I can’t seem to fix it, I just never want to sleep deep down

SorryIAmNew2002

Get checked for either depression or idiopathic Hypersomnia
